We wrote to SPR, Perak on 12th November, 2007 giving them 14 days to let us have a full explanation as to the increase of 8,463 registered voters in Ipoh Timur.

Until 26th November, we had not heard from them, although Encik Osman had, at the meeting at their office on 2nd November, assured those in attendance that they would.

I sent another letter yesterday.

If they do not revert within seven days, I will hand this matter over to solicitors to pursue through the courts.

Moses, if I lose track of time, I’m sure I can depend on you to nudge me on.

No problem, bro…focusing on a common goal once articulated is a small gift I’ll try to share and finetune ; )

Come on all you people parliamentarian, keep an eye on the big picture too while attending to the local “fire”. Haris needs as many eyes, ears, hands, feet, and brains to work on the issues confronting us.

And btw, just a thought, maybe we can do a quick check or ask our love one to do so to crosscheck any of our late parents, grandparents, family members, or relations that have pass on from this world with the SPR electoral roll, so that they are truly off the list.

    Regards

There is no better example of the duality of social life that exists in society than in the conflict of the African American. While American society prided itself on the order theory of society, conflict arose when the African American community began to organize itself and reclaim the civil rights that had been taken away in 1895. Conflict in the sense that societies institutions have evolved resistant to change because change is uncertain. The conflict theory of society posits change as constantly in flux compared to the order theory of society which premise is that change must be an orderly process. Social mores are good examples of the divisions that sexism in society that lead to societal constraints. The order theorists would suggest that barriers in society serve a purpose toward efficient operation of the functions within society. The conflict theorist’s believe that change is a constant and is endemic to all societies. The result is sycretism which exists to manifest change in society.

The synthesis of the divisions which exists in society result in segmentation which leads to stratification of society. For example, the specialization of labor results in further segmentation according to the size of a population in that it structures categories of people. Another division that exists in society is that of race. Race is a quintessential aspect of the division the have come to hallmark society. The sybtgesis approach to the order and conflict theories of society seeks to amalgamate e the various constituencies into a synergistic whole. Interdependence is achieved with the realization the no one group is entirely self sufficient. The conflict model maintains that change is an ubiquitous process which is the basis for the belief that conflict is endemic to all organizations.

In the world of order theorists the course with the segregationists began the segmentation of re- gentrification.

The decision to make a moderately calibrated rate of change can only aggregate the situation of the process of syncretism. Conflict is manifested as a blockage in the demirge and chaos ensues.

To not act upon the inclination to the concept of equality…the polarization of public opinion would be self evident…stagnated and homogenized.

hmm..is that why nazri is leading the charge in record time to get parliament to extend the retirement age of ec by 1 year to 66? so that a lap dog be on top to ensure that it is smooth sailing again for an overwhelming majority?
oh by the way, just wondering whether some of the dead will rise to vote again in IJOK. need joss sticks and candles to feed the dead so that they can be at the bidding of the umnoputras?

Thank You, Haris, for articulating your stand clearly for all to see. I absolutely support your vision of one nation, one people and I’m sure if all of us pull our weight together, we will overcome whatever the BN may throw our way. The time has come for the people to come together and say no to corruption, cronyism, mismanagement, incompetence, oppression etc in ONE LOUD CLEAR voice. Hindraf and othe interest rights group, let’s do it together and show Nazri who has the majority. Not the rent seeking majority but a truely patriotic bangsa Malaysia that will strive for a better Malaysia - that we can all proudly call home .

    Harris thank you!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

we really need to pressure them.
as in a game of football, pressure the opposing player with the ball while blocking the rest of his team mates until he has to hoof the ball away or give away possession!

as in that, continue to pressure these cowards and liars until they give us back the BALL.

Amen to that, a BETTER MALAYSIA!!!

    Thank you, MosesFoo.

Yes, we do need to keep an eye on the ‘big’ picture.

    Meanwhile, just to recap:

a)The Ipoh Timur issue is being addressed with this second letter to the Perak SPR i.e. quantified as EC related, therefore, under BERSIH’s memorandum.

b)The Judiciary matter i.e. saving the judiciary which is contained in the memorandum submitted by Haris prior to 10-Eleven and supported by 5000 plus names will begin, perhaps, with the announcement from the government on who will sit on the RCI and its terms of reference. Please read up Shad Saleem Faruqi’s column in today’s Star for an insight on Royal Commissions.

c)We need to build on the database of 5000 plus names collected thus far for two reasons - 1. Well, 5000 plus is not enough, isn’t it and 2. As the numbers grow, the voter cluster groups for each constituent can be identified and consolidated. The IC numbers which came with the names will provide the constituent for each signature. Put the numbers for each constituent on-line at TPP so that people will know where they stand in relation to the constituent’s voter base. In other words, if we’re to push forward using CIVIL SOCIETY as a platform (instead of bi-partisan politics of BN or BA), the on-line database will give us a daily account of progress. I prefer to call it TPP’s ‘CYBER RALLY’ thumbing its nose at the government. Beats walking on the streets and possibly getting..err.. beaten up, arrested, etc, eh folks.

And Haris, please keep an eye on certain comments which seems to disparage Bangsa Malayia’s civil society approach coz it may be an effort by cyber-troopers (obviously) or racial/political bigots outside the government with their narrow and selfish agendas. You can’t identify it through the nicks used but the writing signatures are plainly there to see. More on this via private channel, bro.

    Toll Concessionaire/Tariff Increase
    ===================================
    http://whatalulu.blogspot.com/2007/11/lulu-despairs-as-rich-grow-richer-and.html

Should a government or any contract be on Bias Terms or outside any economical logic?
On Public expenses and tariff can OSA work?
Should terms and accounts be revealed before any tariff increase?

So a Court injunction be taken before tariff increase be taken?
