The following MPs were written to by their bosses ( yes, you the voters, the Yang Berhormat, are their bosses. They have forgotten. Don’t you forget, though ) instructing them to vote against the Rashid bill.
1. Puchong 2. Lembah Pantai 3. Jelutong 4. Bintulu 5. Segambut 6. Selayang 7. Serdang 8. Batu Kawan 9. Miri
10. Shah Alam 11. Titiwangsa 12. PJ Selatan 13. Bukit Katil 14. Kelana Jaya 15. Bukit Bendera 16. Subang
17. Gombak 18. Santubong 19. Pasir Gudang 20. Rasah 21. Tambun 22. Ulu Langat 23. Ampang
They defied your instructions.
They were insubordinate.
I sacked Donald Lim of PJ Selatan today. I am on the look out for someone worthy of my vote in the next elections.
To those of you who wrote these MPs, the ball is now in your court.
Sack them, get together and put someone in Parliament who will truly represent you, or shut up and live with what you dumped in Parliament

The MP I wrote to, Hon. Tan Kee Kwong of Segambut, failed to respond to me. I guess Gerakan is completely correct to sideline him. If he cannot respond to a simple mail directed to him personally, of what good are his promises to his constituents? He surely must be an embarrassment to such a distinguished father the late Dr Tan Chee Khoon.

dr rahman (gombak) gave no response. maybe too busy for a layman like me. being cocky is not wiseable because he won by a slim margin. he should have known better.
but one thing’s for sure he will definitely be busy next year convincing me, my family and a majority of friends who eventually will vote for the opposition. last pru dr hatta it is.

Haris,
A friend of mine told me that the Opposition is not ready to form the next government, they have no experience, PAS is islamic – chinese cannot eat pork, etc etc etc.
But to me, it is clear. If we continue to vote for that broken dacing we know what we will be getting : thugs, racism, corruption … sorry rampant corruption, threats of another May 13, ketuanan melayu, ISA, police brutality, abuses of power, idiots like Nazri & Zam and a whole bunch of shit.
For 50 years we had BN. I certainly have no problem trying out the Opposition for 5 years.
And I have no problems living under PAS rule because Tok Guru Nik Aziz never threaten me with a keris.

Well said, Free Malaysia.
I once asked a guy who came to set up my streamyx what party he belonged to. He said PAS. He was from Kelantan. The conversation continued something like this:
I : Your party is scary.
He : Why do you say that?
I : (rather simplistically) Shariah law advocates
chopping off of hands for theft!
He : Well then, it would stop people from ever
stealing again. And it would deter others
who are thinking of doing it. In Kelantan we can
leave our things at the stalls unattended to go
for Friday prayers….
Am I willing to vote for PAS if it stands in PJ Selatan?
I would want to bring up every issue PJ Selatan did with Donald Lim and get a legal agreement signed by PAS pertaining to PJ Selatan issues as well as those below. PAS must undertake that it will :
a) Never infringe on my human, civil, moral, political,
economic and personal rights in its 5-year
term;
b) Never dismantle the supremacy of the Constitution;
c) Never impose its religious will on the constituents
but will safeguard the rights of everyone to
freedom of speech, debate, religion and peaceful,
public assembly
d) Uphold the concept, tenets and
spirit of Anak Bangsa Malaysia
e) Wear yellow with us every
Saturday (now I am being funny) in its 5-year
tenure.
(Other terms are obvious such as IPCMC)
Why am I giving PAS hopefully not its one-and-only chance?
Because going by PAS’s stand, guess how many people in Parliament would still have their hands attached to them today?

farida,
well said. this time, my vote goes not to BN. if past history is guide, PAS will put up a candidate in my constituency and my vote goes to him. if he is elected and fails in his promise, he will get the boot for sure in the next election. time for them to work with and for the people, and not the other round.
yh,
If you will declare openly your constituency, perhaps we could get other like-minded voters in the same constituency to come together and see what can be done.

I have long given up on my MP and my State Assemblyman. I have never met them since the last election and I want to look for alternatives who have the interest of the population at heart. This election I shall exercise this right.
*Being hoodwinked by the BN during the last election has been one of the most painful heartaches since.*
bayi,
I am urging voters to be proactive in trying to get honest representation into Parliament.
If you will declare openly your constituency, perhaps we could get other like-minded voters in the same constituency to come together and see what can be done.

Persistency/ tenacity.
Despite many losses, the Northenerns kept on fighting in the Civil War.
Eventually, they won the war,
and
slavery in America was abolished.
—
Tenacity.
They lost many times,
because
it was
not
the right time to win,
not yet.
But they kept fighting,
and eventually,
they won,
and slavery was abolished.
Keep on going,
keep on hoping.
It is tenacity
that makes
success
sweeter.

Farida,
As I have said previously, my only concern about PAS will be if at the next GE, UMNO on its own is the largest party, MCA, MIC, Gerakan and other BN parties get a dribbing, but together are able to get their 51% simple majority. Now UMNO will certainly not find that very comfortable. However, if they can get their sacred two-thirds majority by tying up with PAS, I am pretty certain the opportunity to finally get at their Holy Grail, the Islamic State will in all likelihood see a marriage of the two. That is a sure danger.
Yes, I will be happy to cast my vote for PAS. But can they oblige me with a promise that under no circumstances will they ever enter into any coalition with UMNO to get a two-third majority?
Paul,
Forgive me for saying, but we can all go on asking ourselves these questions in blogosphere until the cows come home and we will be nowhere nearer having the answers.
You vote in Segambut. The sitting MP has proven his mettle.
Start grouping together and speak with one voice.
Ask the opposition to declare to you now who is their candidate. Tell them you do not want them to 3-corner BN.
If truly the rakyat are the boss, then start acting like one.

I can’t wait to sack them.
We don’t have a democracy anymore. We haven’t had for years.
It’s time to change that, or at least die trying.
People don’t realise that the government has its priorities all wrong.

Paul,
I understand where you are coming from. Can there be a mechanism put in place that disallows crossovers, Haris?
This should never have been allowed in the first place – the biggest fiasco being in Sabah when Pairin had to practically lock up his people but in the end many succumbed to the greed for money.
If we go by the principle that we elected our votee to serve us, then he jolly well serves us the way we elected him and he has no business crossing over or joining up with a party we rejected. It makes no sense!
It’s like employing someone and then he thinks he has free rein to run our home or company any old way and couldn’t care less why we employed him in the first place! That’s a betrayal of trust!
Paul, Farida,
The knife cuts both ways.
What if the party your MP originally was with suddenly decides to join BN? And your MP decides he won’t have it and decides to join another party. Then what?
Article 10 guarantees the right of association. The Nordin Salleh case has already decided that any anti-hopping laws would be unconstitutional.
