ISA was to shut off national enemies many many years ago!
So people be in Peace with families and not alone!
Are any ISA Detainee a National enemies
so they should be shut off from their families?
Are appeals for poverty, unequalities a National threat?
These are topics ALL Malaysian should concerned
and surely not a National Threat even with some bricks
after Water Cannons and the Teargas!
If Justice are to be acted
Prove the claim in Court before any ISA!
Or detain no more until anything proven in court!
Malaysia need to act civilly under any ACTS!
or a civil society will gone to nowhere!
ISA should be out of the way for a Civil Malaysia ahead!

The Prayer
Silently we pray to the Candle light!
With big or small, short or tall in all styles!
ISA detainees had expressed their wish for a Better life
so all Malaysian hear no more sorrow to rise!
Why they should pay the price so high
for something we all would like!
ISA, ISA!
going after Devil, you are Right!
Depriving Rights had made you Devil from all sides!
All detainee have Rights in court before you may override!
Put them to court before you may come to Sight!!
Candle light, Candle light
please carry our blessing to Detainees with civil Rights!

Nalini / GMI,
Holding candles and praying to candle light may not augur well to Muslims; it is just not right in Islam.
Although your initiative is very meaningful, please be sensitive to other religions’ requirements too.
Carrying banners/placards and peaceful/soft speeches will do as long as they don’t enrage and engage the red helmets who will surely be there.
But on the bright side, a precedent has been set recently that even if you were caught for demonstrating aggressively, you will definitely be released (the 31 Hindraf demonstrants).
Towards an ISA-free Malaysia!

i propose a moratorium on marches & walk the reasons are most who have participate in the Bersih, the Bar council & Hindraf. Most found a new sense of adrenaline rush, kick in with serotonin it’s a kind of high which is addictive. When you move in groups it’s like feeding on each other energy, you could experience it in clubs, sports arena and sometimes it can turn into what’s call it mob mentality. It gives people a false sense of invincibility….that’s when the trouble starts. i suggest you all come out with a better alternative to show our government the rakyat displeasure.
Reniv,
On the eve of the Hindraf rally, I contacted Sivanesan and suggested that instead of marching on that Sunday, we fix a designated time, spread the word far and wide and at that designated time and day, Malaysians step out of their homes, offices, factories, supermarkets, malls, etc and stand on the kerb holding up placards to highlight the various issues of concern to civil society. My hope, then, was that the Hindraf initiative should not become a communalist endeavour. I thought if my suggestion were to be taken up, it would become, not an Indian issue, but a civil society effort to show solidarity with all marginalised peoples.
If you give about a month to spread the word and mobilise, imagine the impact this might have if you are able to impact enough people from Perlis right down to Johore.
Take photographs ( aerial ones would really show how many in civil society are disgruntled ) and publicise them all over blogosphere.
It did not happen on 25/11. No reason why this cannot be done now.

From a person who was never bothered about anything that happens in the country as long as no one bothers her and she get to go on with her life as usual, your blog has made me take notice of my surroundings, of the government and the injustice that has been done. I thank you for that. I shall be there to join you and the others on sat at Dataran Merdeka.
didee,
God bless

One bald Indian guy’s definitely gonna be there.
Suaram did something today afternoon outside of Suhakam office. 3 cheers to the 250 of them who sacrificed working hours to be there!.Politicians took heed this time. They know Kamunting is not big enough. They know that people are beginning to know their rights. International monitoring and pressure is also mounting. You can con some people sometimes, but not all the people all the time. So far since November 10th there has been no evidence of any mob-like behaviour by any of the rally participants. On the contrary we have plenty of evidence to prove that it was the authoroties and politicians that acted like mobsters and thugs.
The people who took it to the streets on 25/11/07 very much needed that Adrenaline and Serotonin rush. It was the deficiency of both that made them take 50years to come out and voice out their problems. The indoleamine hypothesis of depression suggests that major depression results from a deficiency of available serotonin or inefficient serotonin.
Adrenaline on the other hand is your fight or flight hormone which is released in response when a stressor is set in motion.
So, those guys actually needed the adrenaline and serotonin to actually gather enough courage to come out and voice out heir grieviences that day.
cheers

Haris, use technology, google earth can provide live aerial view, SMS, use light and darkness. Come out with something that not only shake Malaysia but also will shock the world. Civil disobedience can come in different form, Ghandi have shown us you don’t need firepower to win all you need is able to unite the people with one common cause.

Saturday…I shall be there…..bring some friends around too if I can…Reminder though, don’t forget candles!
December 21, 2007 at 5:06 pm
I’ll be heading back to Raub tomorrow, but planning to hold a solidarity vigil at home and ask some friends to come around, and also to take this opportunity to explain ISA to my family members and friends. Will definitely take some photo and blog about it later.
shauafui,
how about explaining to them why we have called for the boycott of MSM.
If they understand, but feel that they have no other source of news other than the MSM, they could ‘paper pool’ (ie, one newspaper per so many households or the local coffeeshop buys and everybody tumpang ) so that there is a reduction in circulation.
We have to try.

Answer to the Prayers to Candle Light!!
———————
Candle Light Candle Light,
Do you have door to select with your Light?
Will Malay get more, or Chinese, or Indian, or any Race?
Will Muslim not be blessed but Buddhism or Hindus or the rest?
Will kids or aged be excluded, or Big or Tall you choose?
Only learned or illiterate be out?
The Candle Light replies:
————————-
Those with a heart and soul
will receive the light
not only the shine
but the warmth that one could feel with heart and soul!
My shine and warmth go through doors!
Only those shut their heart and soul I cannot go!
I hope I answered YOU all!
The detainees are cold!
I know
They need the warmth not only from mine
but hearts and souls of YOURS to alight!
I know every single broken heart is in the dark and cold!
Together, Bright and warmth will grow!
Candle light bless everyone to glow!

Apparently, there was an SMS poll on TV3 prime-time news tonight which resulted with 72% supporting the GMI candlelight vigil (including the issuance of a police permit for this event).
Can anybody verify this coz I don’t watch local tv news.
