Malaysiakini report and video http://www.malaysiakini.tv/video/7777777782.html
They came in peace, seeking justice.
But no, Pak Lah, you would have none of this.
Yes, the might of your PDRM took the battle today.
Your heavy artillery turned on peaceful people.
PM for all Malaysians, you say, and yet you had no time for them.
No time for her.
And no time for this child.
These are not Malaysians? Not Malaysian enough for you?
But we are now a people awakened!
I heard it again today, loud and clear.
Makkal Sakti! Makkal Sakti! Makkal Sakti!
Yes, Pak Lah, today, 16-2-08, the battle is yours.
But we, the rakyat, will win the war on 8-3-08.
With no guns and no artillery.
With our vote, we shall prevail, God Willing.

Children detained and separated from their parents! While only about 4,000 or less people took part in these street protests, and dispersed as they were, it was more electrifying that the earlier Hindraf rally of Nov 25th, the most fearful and dramatic being at the Pudu Temple, near Puduraya, where the whole area was cordened off to traffic and with thousands of people watching including several tourists. While it was an all Indian rally, there was support from passing malay motorists. There is acknowledgement of the greivances.
For the first time I noticed discontent within the police force, especially the Indian officers. Mutiny is not for away!
Indian women have ascended to the fore in these protests as new leaders of a mass movement. This changes everything, quadruples the effects.
Now Indians and BN have breached a point of no return. Yesterday, Feb 15th 2008 was the last day of peace, and it will be that way for sometime. There will be no peace in Malaysia until BN is taken down, ripped apart, shredded and cremated, next starting with the chinese parties MCA and Gerakan.
While awareness is growing daily, the elphant in the room is clearly visible, the faster the malays and chinese respond positively to the enormity and gravity of this situation, the better for their community and business. I don’t how how else to say it!

Why can’t they just allow, say one hundred children, to deliver the roses? Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely..how true! But I was sad to see so few non indians to take part.

Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent protests showed that the people’s peaceful will cannot be ignored nor suppressed.
I am glad that many Indians in Malaysia today are following the great man’s lead.
Yes, the other races have to be impressed by this latest rally or at least lend tacit support in one way or another.
May the repressive forces in Malaysia meet with utter failure in their attempts to gag freedom of speech or more importantly, a peaceful avenue of expression of the rakyat’s dissatisfaction of deteriorating standard of living. May the bullsh*t spewed by the gomen be rejected by the masses and tossed right back onto them.
May the rakyat finally found the courage to say no to another term of rampant pilfering by the UMNO led gomen who are a total disgrace to common ethics and fair play.
May the 1 billion Indians in India voice their anger with the substandard treatment of their fellow ex-countrymen now languishing badly in Malaysia.
And may the poor Indian voter finally say enough is enough, BN gomen has to go back to where the sun does not shine.

Is it pride? Is it fear? Is it paranoia? Is he deaf? Is he asleep? Is he stupid? Does he not care? Does he not see? Does he not know?
What does it take for him to see that his appearance and acceptance of the roses from the children (and others too) would not do anything but begin a much awaited start to a process of change and healing perhaps?
People come in love and peace (symbolically no doubt)but are confronted by hate and violence (from the authorities). They come appealing for justice but have further injustices heaped upon them!
Pak Lah, the people are giving you opportunities (one after another) to really listen to them from the very bottom of their hearts. Yet you brush them off like as if they don’t matter and that they don’t count for anything!
It will only be to your own loss. We have heard. We have seen. We have decided! We will make our decisions count and felt (very soon).

I’m sadden by this highhanded barbaric approach by Malaysian Police led by the Home Minister non other than PM himself. What he has done today will be subject to maximum condemnation not only by Indians also other brothers and sisters of this country.
What would have been the outcome if the delivery of roses was successful today? As fellow Indian and Malaysian I would have been impressed if:-
- The way the PM received the roses and showing his empathy to the children and parents
- I would have felt appreciated by the comment of PM ” I am very concern and I assure you That I will be fair in my decisions concerning Indians”
- A peck of PM on the cheek of “Vaishnavi- Uthaya’s daughter” would have made most Indians melt and forgiven him and BN to some extent.
- Using the same platform to address the affected Indians who were present there, telling them He is people’ prime minister and he would ensure Indians’ concerns addressed in every possible way.
BUT these possibilities did not materialize. What happened today is another grave mistake on the part of PM, not the police as police are mere robots, acting on remote instructions.
It also shows why this man is not fit to be a PM, not even a leader of small fraternity. All in all it only shows the regime of BN is ending soon, I’m saying this as it is time for them to pay not only to Malaysian Indians but also to the Almighty for demolishing his house known as temple. And Samyvellu will not be able to wash his sins even in the next 7 incarnations.

Indeed a break of promise from Dollah from what he had promised back in 2004. And secondly, this shows that he had violated his own tenets of his Civilization Islam. Just as what he did in the last three rallies, there is no sense of respect for the minority community and instead pursues for the ‘Islamization’ of Malaysia while the discontent grows.
True, we need to give them a beating of their lives that they will never forget. But the problem is of convincing the rural folk of the mistakes committed by BN. How are they going to be convinced of those things? They don’t even know or maybe step into the city to get the actual beat.

Pak Liar is cited in Malaysiakini as saying that “the action of the Hindraf supporters [today] was not a culture of Malaysians who loved peace.”
And ordering police to attack peaceful protestors with water cannons and arrest children is peaceful?
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HIS BULLSHIT.
Seems Pak Liar has been exposed to so much spin that he doesn’t seem to know right from wrong anymore. With such a skewed moral compass he should stick to things where he will be of no harm to the rakyat – like opening Nasi Kandar restaurants in Perth.
Alternatively he seems to have the right qualifications to become the next Chief Justice – he doesn’t even need to know a thing about the law (or perhaps even anything at all). He doesnt even need to stay awake during trials as there will doubtless be many other people who would gladly write the judgements for him.
Come on Malaysia, vote those arrogant thuggish politicians out of office. It’s time they learned a little humility.

An International Shame
That’s what we as a nation have become to the eyes of the world. We claim to have the tallest towers, the millions if not billions advertising the expensive billboards in OLD TRAFFORD for our visit Malaysia 07, a multimedia supercorridor, a multi-racial demoractic country. Only thing is, try telling that on a global scale and see the hidious laughter you get back.
There is no possible claim anymore that we are a demoractic country, if it was there will be no barbaric ISA, no chemical laced liquid on children with roses and no corrupion that makes people want to puke their guts out. God help us this election if its not rigged already
February 18, 2008 at 7:23 am
Pak Lah,, had chance to redemption ,, ( He dont deserve this word ) Chance probably,, but he so stupid, dump, morom , arrogant, insensible, insenstive, oblivious, unsrupulous pests,, grown in the street of Kuala Lumpur,,,He should be put in the ISA,,

The ‘big shots’ r not bothered about malay, chinese or indian. they bother only about ppl who let them gain a lot of got knows wat. if its true they r fully n only supporting d malays, there wont be such a big gap in the malay race. one family is eating snail to survive. another guy is cloning AP to get rich. this is not a matter of race. this is about demons in human form.
February 18, 2008 at 12:36 pm
The PM has lost his last chance to redeem himself. I hope he loses his seat together with the other dimwits who are perpetuating this ‘charade’ of placing road blocks a few days before the rally s, quoting phantom thugs waiting to disrupt the rally, blaming the congestion on the rally and branding the rally participants as criminals and terrorists. The day of reckoning is coming.

Dear Readers,
Have you guys ever thought about the academic qualifications of our ministers? We, citizens have to match our qualifications and experiences with our jobs. But, not the ministers. They should be posted in a ministry based on their tertiary qualifications and work experiences. This will ensure that they serve the country better according to what they have learned, rather than relying on their officers to provide feedback. They too will behave well in the parliament. Besides that, they should just go on a rotation basis to serve the country. They don’t OWN the country, but they are just servants to the government, just like other government employees.

Roses from Indians and thorns from BN !
When Indians were carrying England Queen’s poster and chanting HINDRAF on the November25 rally , they were brutally dispersed.
Now they were chanting “we love Badawi” and were carrying our beloved King’s poster and they were still treated the same ! So what is the message the BN trying to convey to Malaysian Indians ? Are they trying to say that they don’t need Indians’ love and votes ? Even Indian children were detained by police . Indians’ future at stake as well ?
A blatant mistake by BN . Look at the logical factor . If Pak Lah could have received the roses , Indians’ grieving heart would have healed to some extend which could have turned into favorable votes .
One could buy dozens of transparent voting boxes but only love could deliver votes to him/her .
The frustration of being side lined in past years , the demolition of the Hindu temple prior Deepavali , the November25 rally , detention of Hindraf lawyers ,refusal to remove Samy Velu from election and lastly this incident would certainly leave deep wounds in Indians in years to come .
Since the political leaders shown their ignorance on November25 and February16 , Indians would show theirs on March8 .
After this emotional incident I strongly believe any Indian whom eat rice with salt would not cast a single vote to BN . This even includes those Indians in BN component parties and civil servants .
