In an effort to take Barisan Rakyat beyond the internet and out to the voters, size A2 posters reproducing the beautiful work by Mob1900 will be available from tomorrow afternoon.
To get copies of the poster, call 019-9486096 / 013-3872028 or send an e-mail to barisanrakyat2008@gmail.com
The pick-up point for your posters, by prior appointment, is at :
Blog House, 66 Lorong Setiabistari 2, Damansara Heights.
We are also looking into the possiblity of producing Barisan Rakyat T-shirts for distribution before polling day. Quotations are being sought and will update you on this.
SV Singam has been busy designing a one-page flyer that encapsulates the essence of The People’s Declaration and combining the same with the hugely successful ‘Enough? You Decide’ flyer launched by the PJU-GetanMP group.
In an e-mail to me attaching his finished product, SV said :
‘I have printed these two side-by-side, placed the BR poster on the flip side and have already begun distribution. Max info coverage in 1 convenient package. Others may want to use differently.
Time is running. Let’s run with it’
The front-side of SV’s flyer would look like this.
The flip-side would bear the BR poster in black and white.
The poster can be copied from the top of this post, if you haven’t already done so before.
The other 2 documents that you will need to put this flyer together are linked below.
As SV says, people, let’s run with it!
And Zam thought the internet was only good for booking cheap flights!

Dear Harris,
The Barisan Rakyat initiative is a very interesting one. No doubt it has captured the imagination of many Malaysians but it has to be addressed and explained at lengths to the Malays in general as to their rights. Many Malays deem the declaration to erode their rights. Rightfully so, for 40 odd years they have been under the opium like dependence on ruling party, it will take a lot of energy from like minded Malaysians to carry the spirit of Barisan Rakyat well after the dust has settled on 2008 Malaysia Decide thinggy.
In my mind, there are many Malaysians that have yet to experience the idea of being champions beyond the racial lines. Although some has shown but it just aint enough. More needs to be done either at grassroot level or even in the cyber arena. The fight must go on. It has to go on beyond politics. The hunger for power even by the opposition that put aside solidarity to pitt against one another is definitely not in the spirit of Barisan Rakyat although there may be more than one competent candidate, I believe the only one way we can have ONE BaRak representative is to have a referendum of candidates that BaRak will endorse at any one time. For BaRak to be effective, there must be a mechanism to address this and we will have to make Political Parties that endorses the People’s Declaration to toe the candidate endorse by BaRak.
They cannot endorse Our Declaration and use it as a tool to hitch a free popularity ride. We are the Rakyat we DECIDE. Just like you said in one of your ceramahs, BN is equivalent to Barisan Neraka. We do not want to see BaRak goes down the same route.
rgds.
Kevin,
Stick with us on this one. God Willing, something good in the long run will come out of this endeavour.

Dear Haris,
Keep up the good work. There are a whole lot of good people like you out there willing to work so hard to make Malaysia a better and safer place for all of us to live in. If the raykat could conjure up a miracle and make a few million Haris Sallehs, Jeff Oois, Raja Petra, Nathaniel Tans,oh, the so many other good citizens and netizens, victory would surely be ours with just a wave of the hand. But since that is impossible, every positive thinking citizen should exercise her/his vote to deny the BN vultures another chance to form the govt and for sure they will try every misdeed possible to hang on to power. It is fear for them if they lose, the noose hangs out there for them.
