He was a PM with “soldier mentality” – he came, he saw and he destroyed almost every good aspect of the nation that eventually leads to the erosion of the nation as a whole.
Which deems him to be quite a hypocrit in a sense.
One doesnt need to look far to get a feel what he is - one just need to look at mugabe.
Even with all the goods that he is trying to preach now – his message still tinged with the vestiges of his racist and bigotry self which was suppose to be long antiquated.

Any wonder why Mahathir is back at full throttle once again?
The vehemence displayed when getting rid of Anwar now returns with a fury seemingly targeting Abdullah Badawi. But is he really the target? Mahathir must be convinced more than anyone that with Badawi at the helm it is a guarantee that Anwar will be the next Prime minister and that it will happen very very soon. He does not have access to the special branch and FRU to support him now. He needs someone who will know how to use all these willing bandits. He needs someone who will put Anwar back in prison once again. Who cares under what law or what act. Right Mr Mahathir? Anwar had told you to do your worst that time. Looks like you might be capable of beating that now.
Leaving that aside, I think it was the 3rd segment where there is mention that Mahathir might have feared that upon becoming Prime minister Anwar will not protect him, his family’s interest and cronies or his legacy. What was the basis of that fear? What was it that Anwar was doing that led Mahathir to that believe?
For them to have been so chummy and for Anwar to have risen with Mahathir’s support within a short period of time obviously there was trust. But did Mahathir ever have the capacity to trust? If that was suspect, then what was the basis of Mahathir’s trust and confidence in Anwar?
You can see why Mahathir “trusted” Rafidah and ensured the Attorney General dropped charging her for corruption at the end of Part 2. According to Ezzam, she was to make sure Mahathir’s son got an allocation of shares in a company going public. Of course she got some too for her son-in law. But this, you scratch my back, I scratch yours, surely led to the biggest rip offs in the form of APs which she controlled until the 8th of March 2008. This is where I laugh at the irony of all the UMNO and ketuanan Melayu supporters. They never once thought that everytime they bought a brand new car they were contributing to the AP of anywhere from RM20,000 to 50 or more thousands to a Rafidah favourite just so as to ensure a few cronies profited. I suppose that is why it is so easy to rip of a Malay is it? But that is unfair, there are also the Kelantanese who are not UMNites and they are hard to rup off….Maybe I should qualify and say UMNOPutras.
Anyway, coming to this video. Surely Anwar too must have done something to have given Mahathir the confidence and trust that he too was drenched and soaked in the cess pool of Mahathir’s making so that he could never surely wash the shit away. In that condition he could be trusted to to safeguard Mahathir.
Anwar, we need to know what it was you were drenched and soaked in that Mahathir and possibly you could see, but despite everything, neither you nor Mahathir are prepared to talk about? Even now!
One thing seems clear. Mahathir’s confidence and faith in a person appears founded on that person having first compromised on his morals, ethics or fundamental values.
Anwar, help us help you. You might just be the next PM and it could happen soon. In some ways we have all contributed in some way or other for that to happen. You might be thinking here I am not supporting you. But man, when you were down and charged with all this allegation, I wrote to your daughter Nurul to assure her our support and prayers during this time of trial and she did reply too. And, oh yes, there was Freemalaysia.com at that time and I used to write under the moniker WA. And I believe in a way I might have helped stop Arifin Jakka from citing all your lawyers for contempt. I am the one who wrote saying Karpal deserved to be cited for contempt for talking without having first asked for leave to speak. And the next day one of your lawyers had apparently put his hands up and asked for leave to speak and the whole court burst into laughter.
Yes Anwar, I support you. But there are things you need to explain. O.k. If it is painful, then just give summaries and then apologise! So Anwar, I think I have earned my right to ask you to explain. When you were wronged, I stood by you. I want to stand tall and proud when you do become Prime Minister. So help me! Yes I too have heard when I was out Bumiputra shopping when my company was going to go public Datuks and Tan Sris mention how they got to seek your blessing and needing to take care of you or your side-kicks. You were very much an UMNO man alright even when the judiciary was being raped.

The special branch people who did this, if they thought they will have cover for the rest of their lives and have felt safe until now I hope you are begining to have sleepless nights too. I want Ariffin Jakka and Augustine Paul too to be hauled up and put through a US congressional hearing type of open session and let them explain how it was that they were able to display such ludicrous stupidity that resulted in Anwar’s incarceration. How had they compromised for Mahathir that he could hold them by the balls and get them to dance like dogs.
I want the MSM to explain themselves too why they allowed themselves to be used like they had. Let MSM and all those who wrote and broadcast what ever then know that they had less honour and respect than Sufiah Yusof. I wonder if Malaysian MSM can ever acquire greater honesty than Sufiah Yusuf, the half Malay Manchester based prostitue who was Malaysian taxpayer funded when she went to read Mathematics at the age of 13 at Oxford University.
We see, those our courts found guilty of sodomy face up to the camera although they are supposed to be the ones who should have felt embarrassed and wanting to hide away in the sunset. However it was the one who according to Mahathir’s Malaysian Values who is the victim and pitied who runs off covering his face with newspaper and plastic bags and what ever.
This video is hopefully going to help a few more within the BN MPs who will cross over. That needs to happen before Badawi and his UMNO ruin the country. There are more than enough reasons why PR has to very quickly assume power and put the BN guys across to the opposition side. Obviously Anwar will be the new PM.
But Anwar, the people do need you to sit talk to us. No more campaigning. No bullshit. You don’t need. I have left my forgiveness in escrow already. Retreive it once you have sat down and talked to us.

It is sad that the former PM would not and could not accept comments and constructive criticism with grace. No doubt that he has pushed Malaysia in the fore front with the mega projects during his time as PM and bulk the trend of going to IMF like our neighbours, with the currency control but at the same time, he somehow managed to divide us further apart.
It was clearly under his “guidance” that the issue of race becomes a tool for him to use and divide the nation. And right now he continues to do so with his comments.
He should realise that being a Malaysian (which I am proud of) is not about what race we come from. To me, as long as we are born in Malaysia, we should be proud others that we are Malaysians. We should not go around attaching race to our nationality.

There is no doubt that Mahathir was corrupt and that he favoured his cronies.
There is no doubt that Anwar was framed under trumped up charges.
There is no doubt that the police and the judiciary acted cruelly and unlawfully under direct or indirect instructions from Mahathir.
None of this is really new information.
But the questions that remain in my mind are…
1. What was the real cause of the breakup of the Mahathir-Anwar partnership?
2. What happened during the financial crisis that triggered Mahathir into such aggressive action?
3. While Anwar is a martyr who was wronged and suffered much for that, why should I trust him?

How else can Dr. M justify his welcome of Robert Mugabe when his own people want to lynch him?
It has never been debated in Malaysian public, breast-fed on practicalism as an ideal, this whole philosophy itself. The ends rarely justify the means. There is always a price to pay even in the most practical solution and Malaysians need to wake up to that fact.

Actually I meant MM can be a ‘more’ respectable blogger if she makes a stand on matters related to her dad. I agree with you that MM is a ‘respectable’ blogger. To me, I admire her contribution to human rights and her ‘open mindedness’ in respect of issues relating to religion.
I am a visitor to her blog and I could not see any posting about Mahathir in her blog. That’s why I conclude that she has not made a stand. She may make her stand somewhere, I not sure.
To me, if my loved one did something seriously wrong, I will advise him or her to face the laws. Of course, deep in my heart, I would like to believe that my loved one did no wrong, no matter what.

Thanks for posting this thread. I just feel so sorry for Anwar and the victim friends who had suffered so much under the cruel hands of a dictator so obsessed with the sickness of his megalomania that he would resort to do such despicable acts of cruelty, deceit and treachery. It has brought back so much pain so many people have suffered, not the least Anwar himself.
It is clear that Mahathir is terrified of Anwar coming to power, who will certainly expose the skeletons Mahathir and his gang of thieves have been desperately trying to hide.
I wish Anwar well, and that he will be able to vindicate himself. I wish that Mahathir will live long enough to be put to shame, together with his gang of thieves.

This evil Kutty is a Mamak. He has to behave in the extreme to make himself “more Malay than a Malay” to be accepted by the Malays.
Right from the start he had this evilness at heart. TAR saw him through and through and revealed it to K Das in an interview with him.
Now on highsight we have seen how evil this man has been; even at this stage of his life; pointing fingers at other accusing them of this or that wrong and most of the time he is part of the the blame or the major part of the blame like the recent election debacle. Why did he ask the rakyat to vote the opposition before the election? Then… after that….????
I thought and had faith in AAB to dig out the truth. But now I have given up and lost respect on this AAB; there is just nothing in him! Has he got too much skeleton in the closet that it would be a libility to unearth the evilness of this demon Mad-man?

I still think that MM, who champion human rights and condemn Badawi, should play her role to convince her dad to repent over such heinous acts. Those acts were very ‘inhuman’ to me.
Such heinous acts warrant MM to her stand on this. Just imagine if another ‘inhuman’ act of the same magnitude committed by someone not related to her, will she condemn to this someone?

Please share with us your concerns about DSAI as the PM of Malaysia. Up to this point, I am inclined to believe him or to at least give him a chance to prove himself. Thus far, he is saying the right things, making the right moves. Looking at this dynamite of a man at the ceramah, I can only view him with a sense of a good leader, whether I am being naive or not.

I’m not sure when this was passed thru by the Moderator. I just saw it. Your comment is a fair one. Allow me to clarify.
I have not at any time rejected Anwar’s leadership. I am not one of those extreme types. I understand the principle of compromise.
Sometime last year, before all of these recent events had come to pass, I was talking about the opposition needing a strong and capable leader and suggested that Anwar seemed to be the only candidate available.
I was asked what had happened to my distrust of Anwar. I made it clear that, whatever doubts I had about him, without someone like him, the opposition was not going to make any kind of headway. I was even ready to support him as PM. But I would not trust him with a 2/3 majority. Heck, I wouldn’t trust anyone with a 2/3 majority.
So you see, my distrust notwithstanding, I still pick him. But some unanswered questions remain and, until those are answered, I will continue to distrust him.
The answers given so far seem to be merely spin. There are issues between Anwar and Mahathir that may eventually be revealed but, for now, remain concealed.

I use to work for a DSAI “nominee” and all I can say is personal gain is way above national interests. So yes, I too would like to know the “thread of trust” between TDM and DSAI.I am a non-Malay, a non-Muslim and I would rather see Tok Guru of PAS be the PM instead of DSAI.

Ever since the days of Tengku Abdul Rahman, I have never trusted Mahathir. He is a dirty liar, a manipulator, a corrupt Malaysian Mafia who has the police and the judiciary under his thumb! That was the reason I had to leave Malaysia. With the raising of the kris and shouts of “ketuanan melayu” where is the future for non bumis who would love to live in Malaysia?
Mahathir keeps playing the race card for his own ends. I hope Anwar will become PM one day and exposes Mahathir for his crimes and corruption. He should get a black eye in return! Show no mercy for him! I hope he Mahathir rots in jail.

TDM mampu tidor lena kalau setakat dan sekadar video dan omong kosong anwar dan kuncu serta talibarutnya. TDM sudah mempunyai jawapannya bukan untuk esok tetapi sudah lama dalam pemikirannya. Anwar hanya lagak ayam sabong di luar gelanggang tapi menikus dalam gelanggang.
Masa memperlihatkan anwar tidak kesampaian sebagai PM atau sekadar menjadi PM yang merosakkan umi Malaysia.
