YM RPK is a strong, courageous and very clever person.
I believe that his insistence on being jailed and now remaining incommunicado is part of a strategy to break the will of those who would harass him. He is sticking push right up there against shove. The UMNO camel is being set up for the proverbial straw to land on its back.
Anwar suffered much because his enemies were strong. How many now would stand up for RPK’s hidden adversary?
Pete, the people are with you. Stand firm. Your prayers will surely be heard. They will all go to hell.

Dear Haris,
I read with a heavy heart the unravelling of the RPK drama. For years now, he has been my hero for one reason and one reason only, that he speaks the truth. Clearly the event of yesterday, serves as a grim reminder that the road towards truth and good values is paved with many obstacles and only a selected few will be strong enough to prevail.
Thank you for your uncompromising support for the man and more importantly the cause he stands for.Truth, Integrity and good values are certainly worth fighting for and a basis of pride for our next generation.
With my prayers

Hi Bro,
I posted my comments on the Malaysian Bar Website to initiate a walk to demand that the government stop using archaic, draconian and obsolete laws against the rakyat. This comment was posted this afternoon about noon time today in response to the President’s message to the government about using such laws.
Well lo and behold at about 3.35pm now the entire message of the President and my comment has completely disapeared from the home page. It is nowhere in sight. In its place all the articles are about the subscription issue!
I had commented that we need to take the bull by its horn. We needed to walk again. We need to raise the awareness that repressive and draconian laws such as the ISA and The Sedition Act are no longer welcome in Malaysia. And the fact is, we need to do it NOW.
We lawyers are sad lot I tell you. when it matters most we are busy talking about our finances. Today I am embarassed to call myself a member of the Bar.

Haris, by charging RPK with sedition, does it mean the judiciary/police and the Home ministry are treating Najid Razak as the whole government/country? You are a lawyer please clarify this for me.
novice101,
The charge does not specify in what way the words complained of bear a seditious tendency. The Act stipulates 6 seditious tendencies that are criminalised.
Until this particularisation of the charge is before us, it is really quite impossible to make sense of the charge.

The AG Chambers and PDRM were once the pride of Malaysia are now relegated to mere mouth pieces of a crumbling and fledgling government whose existence are still suspect with the possibility of cross overs . RPK had time and time again been pointing out the true worth of UMNO / BN leaders . Now it is payback time . RPK is in Sg Buloh for refusing bail but it is the Government and it’s pitiful machineries like PDRM , AG Chambers and the likes of them that are fealing the heat !
Well done Pak Engku ! You are worth more than all these shameless cowards combined together !

Sorry for not having made myself clear. What I am asking is, is Najid Razak, the person is being equated to be the nation? If, not, why are the Home ministry/the police and the Judiciary involved? Why didn’t Najid just file a defamation suit?
novice101,
My earlier rejoinder applies equally, save that I am unable to say why Najib has not filed a defamation suit.
Afraid that RPK take the defence of justification, perhaps

Under sedition act, if you say anything about PM or NPM, you can be caught. That means you can crap anything on any other ministers(besides PM/NPM) and they cant use sedition act, they can only file defamation suit against you.

I’m just waiting to see how they’re gonna twist and turn the facts from RPK’s post and make it look seditious. It’s interesting though to think when every one is like so busy suing each other miilions of RM, how come DPM and Mrs.DPM not doing so. The Malaysian Insider has another hypothesis of why RPK could be doing this. You can read it at this link : http://themalaysianinsider.com/mni/intricate-links-of-altantuya-raja-petra-trials.html
cheers

Correct me if I am wrong, the article by RPK also said that the PM of Malaysia is concealing evidence in a murder trial. This is a very serious allegation. If RPK has evidence to back it up than good for him.
Not everything is about the DPM! Let’s see the whole picture. Is RPK laying the ground work for a public opinion change that will support the morally suspect act of party hoping? This is a thought not an allegation!

Like him or hate him, that’s RPK for you.
His articles are the most offensive, humorous, emotional, eccentric and open without a thought of consequence.
But its not a question of whether we like him or not, or he deserves it or not, its a question of how his case is being handle.
It was wrong, and any MALAYSIAN with the right mind should protest against it.
