‘We will adduce further evidence soon. This is not the end. i just want to test, not only the nerve, but the commitment. Prime Minister said everything should be professional, okay…The other evidence will come, you just be patient, in the next few days, hopefully…it’s like the VK Lingam video tape, cannot be..dia kena ada like a series of bollywood drama…’ – DSAI at the press conference last Thursday to release Bala’s SD1 to the world at large.

This was DSAI’s response to a reporter’s question whether Bala’s SD1 was the only evidence in hand.

Dato’ Seri, you want to test Pak Lah’s commitment to professionalism?

Tak payah, lah. Rakyat will tell you the flop in his flip-flop applies with equal force to his commitment to professionalism.

You want Bollywood drama?

Enough, lah!

SD2 and a PI and family missing in action not enough drama for you?

And now that Saiful’s sordid allegation has been neutered with the ‘four witnesses to penetration’ requirement, given that it now rests with JAWI, can we turn our attention to laying to rest the ‘believe SD1 or SD2?’ debate?

Or have I got it wrong and that the ‘four witnesses to penetration’ requirement only applies to a situation where the ‘penetratee’ is of the fairer sex, or when a member of the fairer sex is accused of unchaste conduct?

Never mind, there’s still the very strong alibi witnesses so no need to worry, Syariah court or civil court.

So, please sir, could we have more evidence, of the non-statutory declaratory sort, please?

    Haris,

I think we need to wait for a while. The man is against an empire and he needs arsenal. In fact, the only thing I like about DSAI is his fighting spirit. The man was born a fighter with inborn defiance streak. A bigger Raja Petra indeed. I think he doesn’t want to exhaust the Altantuya card. Someone up there in UMNO (relative) told me that when Najis planned the Saiful’s failed Project with some input from the “Grand” Master, they never expected DSAI to play the Altantuya card again, much more the Bala SD which rattled the nation. So, he is telling me that they are shocked asking themselves what can they pull under his rug now that their project is headed for doom. So if DSAI spills all the beans, I think they may regroup and counter attack, so I advise we better wait for a while till the “other” side exhausts its nefarious plans and falls into their own trap just like the retraction of Bala’s SD caused them haemoragge. They never expected DSAI in JAWI to throw the challenge to them. Again, they are in a fix. This forced the Badawi bankrolled leaflet: The Malaysian Insider to spin it and say Anwar wants to regain Malay ground. All what I know as a Malay is that he has been gaining the ground and he tops the list in that regard with the latest attack making him a martyr. So this forces them into a new direction bcoz Anwar is beating them in their own game. Telling him to exhaust the Altantuya card is a suicide. Methinks he will produce Najis-Altantuya video when Ghani Patail’s appointed judges exonerate him of all things and this will cause TOTAL collapse and mayhem. Just wait!

  3. ALEX Says:

Good point Harith. Here is a chronology of Anwar Ibrahim vs Saiful Bukhary (to my best recollection)

5:45 pm on a certain day in June 08 Saiful lodges police report (arguable at Jln Travers or General Hospital KL)

9.00 pm Anwar gets wind of the report in Shah Alam hotel. Immediately panics. Huddles with advisors, also makes many phone calls.

1.20 am Sivarasa hosts emergency press conference at hotel. Anwar not present. Anwar panics and expects police to be knocking on door.

Till 5.00 am Anwar huddles with advisors at Hotel

5.00 am Anwar leaves for Turkish Ambassadors residence. If arrest warrant issued, Anwar would have sought asylum. Anwar chills at Turkish Ambassador’s house for over 24 hours. Leaves on third day.

1st conspiracy acusations made. Azizah says Mustapa Mohamad, Shahrir Samad, Azalina Othman and Najib’s office behind conspiracy. Anwar says AG and IGP. Both do not mention Badawi.

Same day all four Ministers deny conspiracy. AG and IGP angle also seems to falter.

After thinking for a while, two days later Anwar points fingers at Najib as conspirator. AG, IGP, four Ministers are dropped.

Next day AG, IGP are back in the picture. Bala’s SD appears. Najib is also a conspirator.

Bala then withdraws his SD. Anwar’s promised evidence against AG, IGP and Najib fade.

Mufti Perlis advises Anwar and Saiful to swear on Quran. Anwar says will only do so in front of credible ulama. Otherwise he will not.

Day before Saiful challenges Anwar : name place and time. I will come and swear on Quran.

Yesterday Saiful challenges Anwar again, sends message to blog which appears on TV3.

Najib, IGP, AG, evidence all forgotten. Anwar now focuses on Saiful.

Today Anwar makes a ‘report’ at JAWI to invoke some weird syariah enactment against Saiful.

To make a long story short all of Anwar’s actions of the past TWO DAYS can be summarised as follows: Anwar will NOT swear on the Quran or engage in any mubalaha with Saiful.

Today Anwar has reiterated that he does NOT need to swear on the Quran that he is innocent. Here is his statement : “You realise this man has been used, he is under police custody and with police orchestration, video clips of him will appear making use of government-controlled media… challenging me to oath-taking.”

So Anwar will not be making an oaths. Hmmm…

‘..that he had been advised by religious experts not to make any statement or action as it would negatively influence other Muslims.’

I think brother Anwar is just running away from the issue. He seems to be panicking. These are not the actions of a brave fighter of justice. Running away to the Turkish Embassy was clearly not the action of a brave fighter of justice. Hmm..

Why beat up on a 23 year old college drop out kid?

  4. fitr Says:

DSAI loves to keep us in suspense, doesn’t he?

One thing I learnt today after reading the latest RPK’s article – oral sex is also a crime in Malaysia.

“Under Section 377A of the Penal code, ‘any person who has sexual connection with another person by the introduction of the penis into the anus or mouth of the other person is said to commit carnal intercourse against the order of nature’”

The offence is punishable by a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, as stated under Section 377B.

Better get this section repealed, man. Sex is not the same old missionary style anymore.

  5. tarings Says:

Why do I have this nasty feeling that this particular chess game will be a stalemate? Why do I have this nagging feeling that we’ll never know the truth?

Truth be told, everybody has their own dark secrets. And sins. Some of course have more than others. Some indulged in the naughty, in the sordid and even in the unlawful. Some go at it alone, discreetly. While others did it with their childhood buddies, golfing buddies and political buddies.

And in this political stupidity some people call drama, the players involved were political buddies once. They all are. They know each other’s failings and dark secrets. And some of us know them too because stupid politicians are just that. Stupid and careless.

Hence, the evidence will come very slowly, if at all. As the players involved try guessing and bluffing their way out of their stupidities.

And unfortunately, the people can only sigh with mouths gaping. Knowing that we are being had. Again.

  6. James Loh Says:

    Haris,

Could you share your opinion regarding Anwar going to Syariah Court instead of Civil Court? I’m worry that with Anwar going to Syariah court it would mean that Pakatan Rakyat endorse Islamic law supersede Civil law.

Testimony of witness 19 in Royal Commision on Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Injury.

    ASP Zulkifli bin Mohamad
    ASP Pendakwaan Undang-Undang
    Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah
    Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman

When I went into the cell, I saw Dato’ Seri Anwar seated on the cement slab. He was still blindfolded and his hands were handcuffed at the back. I saw his forehead was swollen. Then I came out to look for ointment. I was also looking for warm water and cloth to assist ASP Rodwan. After that I went back to the cell and I continued with what ASP Rodwan was doing. A few minutes later, ASP Rodwan left us in the cell. I together with D/LKpl Zaini and two other lockup personnel treated Dato’ Seri Anwar.

At that time Dato’ Seri Anwar was still blindfolded. While D/LKpl Zaini was treating Dato’ Seri Anwar’s forehead which was swollen, I went to the right of Dato’ Seri Anwar and I saw that his nose was bleeding slightly. I took off the handkerchief which was covering his eyes and used it to wipe the blood from Dato’ Seri Anwar’s nose. At that time he was still handcuffed. While I was wiping the blood, Dato Seri Anwar was murmuring. He said “Allah bersama saya” repeatedly. After that I came out of the cell and went back to my office.

    “Allah bersama saya” <–

  9. AAB Says:

    ALEX,

1st of all, you look for a new name knowing that didn’t sell as wanted. Secondly, the chronology you gave was one created in your putrid mind rather than we know, we knew and continue to know. Thirdly, Saiful didn’t challenge anyone but his statement was a well choreographed one stuffed in his mouth and carried out by Be End (BN) media. Note here that if one wants to challenge someone over an issue handled by Islam, there is a procedure and a laid down rules. The challenge was one stuffed by AMENO not knowing that they will be in a fix when the challenge is thrown back to them. Now that they have been challenged, they need to answer. I hope you will tell us what Najib is thinking and how he can assist the “traumatized” child. He he he! Everything has a procedure and now the road has been shown, will the “traumatized” child get an advice from the “Fatherly” DPM as usual? Ke ke ke! I’m waiting for your input boy.

  10. Chong Says:

DSAI knows what he is doing. If not because of his intelligence, he wouldn’t be one of the most influential leaders Malaysia has ever seen.

If he gives all his evidences at a time, BN will always be able to plot a new story and evidence that will finally ‘prove’ that BN is right and DSAI is wrong. When he plays the Bollywood drama, each time BN create a plot to ‘kill’ DSAI’s evidence, he can give the second evidence to show that BN is lying.

  11. Daryl Says:

One of the Malaysian trait is impatient. Every event or occasion everyone must go first. You should learn from the Bala’s SD1 and see how fast the BN idiots response when their doggy bowl shake a little. They shoot and shout out so loud and now a whole family life is in danger(or at least we feel so). If you want to get things done you need some politic ans suspence and life is precious so I have to agree on how DSI is approaching this.

  12. doggone Says:

    Hi there Haris,

I agree with Sab that if DSAI play all his cards, he’ll run out of ropes before he can get out of bed.

As to why he should not swear on the Quran. It is for the simple reason that it would set a dangerous precedent to set criminals free. If public figures like DSAI and Najib could just absolve themselves of criminal offenses just by placing their hands on the Holy Book in front of ulamaks, imagine what a blessing this oath taking will be for the scums of society.

Much as we hate the long drawn out engagement between the top honchos, we too must bid our time to reap the spoils of battle, be it felicitous or dispiriting.

    “Allah bersama kita.”

  13. su Says:

It has been a few days already, and he has been awfully quiet on this thing about Bala and the two SDs. He was quiet when he made the second SD, quiet when he went missing, and quiet now that the police have “found” him.

  15. singapura Says:

To be fair, Anwar, being the target of the ruling parties, cannot do as he pleases.

Understand what he is up against. They hold the authority to do as they please, he doesn’t. They have the judiciary and police at their beck and call, he doesn’t. They have sweeping powers which they make full use of, he doesn’t.

There are already (suspiciously false) serious charges against Anwar, and this is not the first time either, nor will it be the last.

Even when he did bring out some of the evidence, look what happened – the person who made a statutory declaration of the evidence was made (seemingly under duress) to retract his SD. What is there to stop them doing the same thing again, or doing even worse things? The courts are corrupted, law enforcement is only for those in positions of power, the police have become the personal security force of those who control them.

Giving all the evidence now is going to achieve what? Topple the govt? Replace the leaders? Remove Najib? Remove Badawi? Make Anwar PM? Make someone else PM? Bring back Mahathir? What?

Whether the evidence is given bit by bit or all at once does not make one jot of difference to the agenda of those in power.

Making such a move to give all the evidence will only play into the hands of the enemy. It will be like sending a herd of sheep into the lions’ den.

They can make any witness retract any statement. They can drum up false charges against anyone they please. They can fabricate their own evidence for whatever purpose. They have even gone to the extent of murdering people.

Anwar has no choice but to play a political game. If you were in his place yourself, you could not do it any other way. If you did, it would be political, maybe even personal or physical, doom.

  16. All DSAI’s dreams and hopes to become the next P.M. are gone when he could not control his pants from coming down.
How can his accuser gets four witnesses ? DSAI will never dare to go to court or swear !
His best tactic to date is to sue anyone with anything against him just to shut him up. He must have at least 10 legal cases pending right now.

  17. Patricia Says:

Ya lah, Haris, I so agree with you. Enuf already. Methinks, per’aps, there’s no evidence to be had? The more he dilly-dallies and plays these silly games, the more fed up everyone gets!

Haris, have you heard this old song, ‘Build me up, Buttercup’(by The Foundations, 1968)? It goes like this:

Why do you build me up, Buttercup, baby,
Just to let me down, and mess me around
And then worst of all, you never call, baby,
When you say you will but I love you still
I need you more than anyone, darling
You know that I have from the start
So build me up, Buttercup, don’t break my heart!

Ok, I don’t love him … but some people seem to. So I think I shall make this his theme song. For now. Till he delivers ….

So now what? I am every bit convinced that the monkeys have nothing against AI on charges of sodomy, and that this young monkey is a pawn being manipulated by Najis with consultations with the sick old megalomaniac. The last time he tried the trick on AI, it worked well, enough to put him away before he lost power. My bet is that they are so desperate and bankrupt of ideas that they HAD to re-use this cheap trick. Like most of us thinking Malaysians, I can only say, ’stop treating me like a fool’. Now, I am also convinced that these monkeys have evidence against AI for sexual activities with females (young, beautiful women no less), but that cannot be used against him as the Malays (men especially) will easily forgive him. Do you still remember Najis being caught with his pants down (literally)? He came off clean. Worse, a monkey by the name of Thamby Chik raped an underaged girl and got off scott free while LGE was sent into prison for the crime. Point is, it’s okay to screw around with other women, but a big sinful NO NO if even accused of main belakang jantan – strange to a non-Malay’s eyes.

Unless DSAI has some real concrete evidence which cannot be refuted – he was stupid and careless for allowing Bala to be nabbed by the cops – I think we are looking at a stalemate here. At the same time, the thought of Najis ascending the monkey throne sends shivers down my spine.

    Haris,

We have had too many promises of MPs party hopping ; till to date no one has absolutely any idea if this will happen.
My opinion is Pak Lah will continue to be PM till the next election.
With the recent Altantuya exposures, Najib can be forgotten. I don’t think he will be PM. Anwar too is not in the fight as the present allegations has eroded his moral standings. Given a choice I would still pick him, immaterial the allegations. He has more brains than the other two put together.

  21. Gunumaro Says:

For sure Allah was also with Rahim Noor at that time, and Allah was right again when He inspired Rahim Noor to whack Anway cukup-cukup for calling him “Anjing Kerajaan”.

Br Haris, there is no need for us to wait for the real evidence from Anwar. His days is numbered, and the police is getting closer each day. If he don’t get out of the country right now, he cannot escape the jail and the “Rotan”.

    wanderer,

The politicians will go the way of pragmatism.

We, the rakyat, must therefore hold on to our ideals.

We must serve as the check and balance to the politicians polititcs of expediency

  23. Apajadi Says:

I feel very cheated now, embarassed, shy, disillusioned and guilty for voting for the Opposition (Pakatan Rakyat) during the last general election after looking the behavior, actions of the Pakatan Leaders notably Anwar Ibrahim.

Many Pakatan MPs are seen too naive to fall trap in believing Anwar’s clever ploy, manupulation, deception while under the facade for championing democarcy, transparancey, accountabiity in front of gallery. No difference to the “saya sokong” syndrome in Barisan Nasional govt.

A simple challenge to him to swear for his innoncence of the sodomy allegation is responded clevery by deflecting it to technicalities.

If you are innocence, why so scared? Legal issues? Crap excuse!!! You think we bodoh?

I will close by eye to vote for Anwar in future, if he can demonstrate to me he is sincere, credible, accountable. I don’t see it now and I can guess worse with power and position when he assumed to be PM (one day, which may never come).

We can tolerate some wayang, but not all the time. Anwar, time is up, better be your ownself.

What do we see under the PR state government? Local councillors are substantially from the political parties again, no difference from BN!

100 days celebration fund raising activities. Carnival and party types protest “rally”. Don’t these familar with BN.

In a nutshell, the fact is Anwar is dropout from UMNO make no difference! And to support Pakatan Rakyat for the cause of Anwar is No! No! No! Anymore.

Let’s change the leader of PR. Enough is enough!!!

  24. I like chopin Says:

    Dear Brother Haris

I think DSAI simply ran out of ammunition. He is trying to prolong public’s interests and sympathies.I hope he can prove me wrong.

He should know by now that AAB is famous for being unproffesional.Everyone knew,so why the need to test this flip flop further?Nerve and committment? He don’t even have these qualities to begin with, much less now.

Trying to turn Altantuya’s murder case into a Bollywood drama is very callous of DSAI.I wish he has more respect for the poor victim and her family.Perhaps he thought she is a ‘loose woman’,so why not exploit her case?Again,I hope he can prove me wrong.

Such irresponsible tactics can only be tolerated in Bolehland, not in western countries anyway. If he has enough evidences to implicate Najib,he should bring them all out and get justice done once and for all, instead of dragging on like he is doing now. That would spare the victim’s family of further pain and two years of pain is too long for the family to bear.

I,too, would like to appeal to DSAI to come out with more evidence if he still has any, quickly,to get justice for Altantuya,to help restore the judiciary and to help us get rid of that c4 man before he can take over from AAB.Please do it for our sake.

Why is the ball in Anwar’s court? Isn’t the ball now in the authorities’ court? Where are the investigation papers? In the AG’s chambers?

Prove Anwar’s denial of the sodomy charges and Bala’s SD to be false and get the case to court. Maybe we will get to it in a month’s time, although the grapevine says Anwar will only be arrested in this case if the MP switch really happens.

Meanwhile the Bala thingy has piqued my interest; why did he say he was not able to speak freely when he called his nephew? The police meanwhile say they have met him to take his statement. Did they not think it weird that he would have to go through all this just becos of an SD? Didn’t the term held against his will crop up somewhere during the interview? Or were they just “saya yang menurut perintah?” I thought piagam polis would make them aware of the funny business in the PI’s disappearance?

  27. a john Says:

    Dear Harris,

Since the time the allegation against AI surfaced, AI actions all seem defensive; or actions to steer away the focus on the issue at hand. Bala’s SD; Reports against IGP & AG just does not free AI from Saiful’s allegation. Why does not AI being the busy leader he is just publish his alibi as to the time and date of the alleged incident.Surely, this will be easily available from his diary or from his secretary. the only problem might be if his diary shows that he had gone to the condo with his p.a. ( Saiful ) to discuss strategy! then surely both will need many witnesses to back them up as to what happened there!

  30. NoMorePolitic Says:

I *was* a believer in Anwar and PKR.
But I’m disappointed with the way things are going so far. Day after day, it seems that Anwar is focussed on wresting away power, and that is all that seems to matter to him. He and others seem to be intent on destablizing the government, regardless of the consequence. It would seems to me that PR is doing what the communist party was trying to do some decades ago.
    I was expecting PR to
    1) focus on winning the people’s mind by showing and highlighting good governance in the 5 states that they won.
    2) to focus on building up a shadow cabinet – finding and grooming the right people to take over the government when the time come
    3) to focus on pressuring the government to loosen up the media
    4) importantly, to focus on pressurizing the government on improving the election process.

Now, with the above done, we can wait with high hope for the next election. But what I’m seeing right now is nothing but dirty, immature politicings… I wouldn’t be excited if and when Anwar finally comes to power..

  31. ahjamal Says:

My suggestion is that there is no other politician that have withstood all this senerio. Amnuar being fixed put in jail bar from contesting the election. I can say he reserved to be the Leader for all Malaysian He has passed the fit and proper test. Najib has not even been tested all that we know he is a party man God know what he meean by party man. We know is that he is very rich so rich that his wife go around shopping and how rich and by what means. So far he
has not been able to solve Sabah illegal problem all talk only.

  32. Dear Brother Haris,I just run through the comments in this post.Needless to say,I am surprised to read some commentators are condemning the man,his party and his game.

Well, this is not the case in your earlier posts, especially in ‘An open letter to AI’ and ‘Got shafted on this one…’.Over there, you can see many people putting him on a high pedestal.

Is this a sign that more people are getting impatient and disillusioned with him?

    I like chopin,

I hope someone in DSAI’s team is also monitoring comments in cyberspace

  33. ALEX Says:

Well today is Thursday, July 10, 2008. Its been almost two weeks since Saiful made his Police report.

How long does it take Anwar to provide the name and place of his alibi?
How long does it take Anwar to reveal his evidence against the AG and the IGP?
How long does it take Anwar to reveal his evidence against Najib?

How long does it take Anwar to swear on the Quran that he did not liwat that boy?

This is what Anwar has said so far:

    1. I will NOT swear on the Quran except in front of credible ulamak.
    2. I will NOT swear on the Quran unless instructed by the Syariah Court
    3. I will NOT swear on the Quran because I dont want to confuse Muslims. Muslims might think that they can commit murder, then swear on the Quran and go scot free.
    4. I want the Syariah Court to hear my case because the Syariah requires FOUR MALE witnesses to sodomy – so I know for fact that Saiful will not be able to prove his accusations.

Well this is what Anwar is saying. Now please weigh the matter carefully.

  34. Free Malaysia Says:

I think we are doomed. Maybe to migrate is the only solution.

  35. Sam Sambal Says:

I think it is good that Anwar doesn’t come out with it all at once.

One, it is wise in some cases to use your arsenal bit by bit to maximise impact.

Two, bringing everything out all at once can be destabilising for the nation.

  36. Sam Sambal Says:

Also I must give Anwar credit for being the only Malaysian leader in my memory to declare in his speeches that all Malaysians of all races are his anak-anak, whether Indian or Chinese or Malay or Iban, that all are anak-anak Malaysia (see Youtube.com clips of his various speeches).

The unifying force of these statements of his should not be underestimated or undervalued.

So we should at the very minimum take our hats off to Anwar, even if we don’t like his personality or his style or his strategies.

Mahathir never said anything like that. He was either on silent, or polarised. Never conciliatory. Do you not agree?

  37. Tamil Movie Watcher Says:

i second what singapura commented. its true , so true.
we malaysians are one impatient lot.

yes we want to deal with the murder, yes its wrong to hold evidence, but this is a political game with some big names involved. if the cat is out of the bag all at once, what will happen to DSAI when they begin to twist and turn the evidence into hearsay or what not at every opportunity on the main stream? or again, blackmail or threatening the people?

at first, i wanted the case solved but its not as easy as it seems. haris, aku pun nak fast2 move along, but everyone who reads this blog should know, that this is a political game, and somebody’s going to get hurt.

DSAI , RPK, Uncle Bernard, Yourself, you are malaysians that is making the difference.

I want Anwar to swear on the Holy Koran that he is NOT a Bisexual or Homosexual !!!!

Why cant he do that and put an end to this once and for all – this is because only he and he alone knows that he is not a bisexual or homosexual.

I challenge him to do that!!!

  40. kevyeoh Says:

dude…i think Pakatan rakyat cannot do much if the don’t control the federal gov… whatever is being done at state level has already been done… Selangor get free water… Penang cancel orders of new cars…all those are what Pakatan Rakyat can do in 100 days… come on… don’t criticize them if it’s too little being done..look at what BN has done for us for the past 50 yrs instead of 100 days? So i think Anwar still have to focus on grabbing the power, that’s my opinion….

but i do agree that anwar should no longer use the delay tactic anymore…if you have alibi, just show it…if you have witness just show it…if you have the numbers…show it to us….or else i will only assume the numbers you have is for sports toto or magnum 4D…

But what I’m seeing right now is nothing but dirty, immature politicings… I wouldn’t be excited if and when Anwar finally comes to power..

a lot of allegation, a little bit of mud, and it seems there are internet-savvu people out there, who are supposedly the smarter segment of the malaysian population who are already wavering.

oh i regret voting PR. oh i’m sick of anwar. oh oh oh. so whatchu gonna do? run back to barisan? yeah, that’s malaysian perseverance for you. so let’s go back there. let’s let them tell us their stories while we go revert to being drones: the government will take care of everything. kau tim the opposition also. no more loud accusations from the opposition. no more street protest. everybody get productive. never mind if they steal us blind and do all kinds of nonsense.

yeah. maybe then you people will be happy, hey? no need to think and wonder and get fed-up as to who is telling the truth and such. happy? the end.

you want it, you want it now. i wonder how many of the loudest shouters in cyberspace now used to vote for barisan. who has never voted for barisan before, raise your hands please.

I want Anwar to swear on the Holy Koran that he is NOT a Bisexual or Homosexual !!!!

Why cant he do that and put an end to this once and for all – this is because only he and he alone knows that he is not a bisexual or homosexual.

I challenge him to do that!!!

To you and all those who thinks that Anwar should swear on the Qur’an, I’d like to know what you think would happen if he lied? I mean, what are we looking at here, lightning strike? Incurable disease? Dick falling off? Or do you just mean that he’ll be punished in the hereafter? Well, if he lied anyway, he’ll be punished anyway, however you look at it.

The Qur’an has no manifest magick by its own.

Haris , my 2 cents worth..

It is common knowledge that bisexuals are usually very promiscous so much so such a male could have tens if not more than a hundred ‘male partners’ throughout their life.

How is it so ,if the sodomy allegation of Anwar is indeed true, and him being such a high profile guy and that too under the close watchful eyes of all his enemies, there are not multiple witnesses or evidence against him ?

I read a comment in one of the blog that: ‘ I am Chinese ….. I don’t care if AI is a S…..’

I think the writer should ammend his view to this:

IF he is a S….. , and he admit it openly, (let’s ignore the moral issue and the religion implication here), fine we should not care. But IF he is and do not want to admit it and am plotting to prevent it from coming to light ( looking at his actions 10 years ago and now, we are really looking at a big question mark here), we Malaysian should care. If it is the truth and he is the PM, what action will he take to cover up?

I really pray that for our sake he is not.

    To ALEX:

The last time DSIA gave an alibi (1998) they beat him up,confiscated his diary and gave a new date of the alleged ‘crime’

So, we live and learn from past experience.DSIA is in the driving seat. It is up to Saiful to prove his case. And tactically, DSIA should not say a word until we have Saiful’s full statement of allegation.

It would be downright stupid of DSIA to shoot his mouth off now or promise any action. That is what the accused in all cases are advised to do!

  49. Parli-Man Says:

    Haris,

    Interesting conspiracy theory :

    1. Saiful was introduced to Anwar by his official photographer.

    2. The official photographer was mysteriously killed by a hit-and-run motor accident just before the GE.

    3. Anwar highlighted his death and sort of blamed his enemies of it.

    4. What if the official photographer had inner knowledge of Anwar’s dark side ……..?

Now wouldn’t that make an explosive movie !

  52. Kenny Gan Says:

The only dirty, immature politicking I can see is coming from the BN side. If trumped up sodomy allegations isn’t all that, what is?

It’s only a co-incidence that Bala chose Anwar to be the platform to reveal his SD. His SD was planned months ago. Bala wants to make a splash who else can he take it to? Do you expect Anwar to say, “No, go away” when it is his duty to expose a crime? Yet, I can’t fathom many readers here who blame Anwar & PR for Bala’s SD as dirty politicking.

As for the second SD, you all know who’s responsible for that. Now, that’s dirty!

I believe Anwar sought refuge at the Turkish embassy because he feared immediate arrest which will immediately kill all his political plans. He may even get beaten up or killed in custody. What is wrong with acting for self-preservation? Politicking again?

Incidentally, Anwar’s action to run to the Turkish embassy convinced me he’s innocent. He saw a conspiracy immediately while a guilty person will assume it’s a private complaint which will not warrant immediate arrest.

Funny them calls to swear on the Holy Koran, or any other Holy Books for that matter. So what if they did just that? Will all the allegations be retracted? Will all the investigation files be closed? Reckon some of us Muslims are quite capable of lying through our teeth, without even batting an eyelid, and all the while our right hand is holding the Holy Koran. Damn, the way these politicians are conducting themselves, reckon they’ll gladly pee on the Holy Koran if that could get them what they want.

    And you better believe that.

It’ll be more beneficial to read and understand the Book.

Today, the headlines in Star and Sun both read that AAB has decided for all Malaysians that, come 2010, Malaysia shall have a PM who is strongly and directly linked to the murder of Altantuya who has simply refused to answer all the direct accusations (complete with SD’s) at the same time, we are to believe AAB 100% that DSAI is a sodomist without any evidence. If what AAB has decided for us comes to pass, Malaysia is gone. May God help us all.

  63. ALEX Says:

donplaypuks, I think you are mistaken brother.
The last time Anwar could not give an alibi. The AG boys messed up the date of the sodomy. But the AG never changed the location – Tivoli Villa. It was always Tivoli Villa.

Please recall in the course of his defense in 1998 Anwar’s 9 man legal team presented some renovation plans etc for the apartment unit at Tivoli. It turned out that they presented the plans for the wrong apartment unit. That particular ‘evidence’ was not accepted by the court.

Then Anwar said he was overseas – that was also his alibi. To prove that alibi, he presented a photocopy of his passport. A photocopy of course cannot be accepted as evidence. Anwar said he had mysteriously lost his original passport. But somehow he had managed to make a full, cover to cover photocopy of the passport before he lost it. Can you recall all this?

Do you really believe that a DPM with so many ADCs could lose his passport? Or that a DPM would just happen to have a full photocopy of his passport ready to present to the Court?

And in 1998 again Anwar said that his friend Yusuf Qardawi – an Egyptian ulamak – had sent him a fax saying that he need not swear on the Quran that he had not commited sodomy. Have you forgoten this too? Anwar is playing the same game. Finally he mumbled something about ’saya tak buat perkara terkutuk itu’ in front of Haron Din who announced that he could see into Anwar’s heart and that it was clean. Do you believe all this?

Dont forget that Anwar sent a Police team to break down the house of Dr Ristina, arrest Ummi Hafilda & Azizan Abu Bakar, take them to the Pan Pac Hotel and lock them up inside a hotel rom, bully them and then force them to make a confession that Anwar was NOT a kaki liwat and kaki prempuan. Have you forgotten? For that offense of corrupt abuse of power, Anwar was jailed for six years.

    Have you forgotten?

Now we dont need all that. Just tell Anwar to swear on the Quran that he did not liwat this 23 year old boy. Thats all. Why is that so difficult for him to do?

  64. Drachen Says:

N has already sworn on the Koran. Do you believe him?

I think there are negotiations/discussions going on behind the scene that we don’t know of – N with AI, AI with AAB, N with the Americans, AI with M, etc. Perhaps N is asking A not to release the evidence in exchange for something. We see nothing happening but I bet there is plenty happening unseen by the public.

  65. temenggong Says:

Do not allow the BN’s charge of homosexuality to deflect issues, break and derail PR’s attempt to take power, form the govt and redeem Malaysia’s politics and the economy. BN wants to keep the rakyat glued to petty issues like sodomy.

Those suspicious of Anwar should simply support BN and the political status quo. But the reality is as promised there is today a motion for a vote of no confidence. Its only a matter of time that the BN govt falls, followed by many BN leaders being indicted and jailed. Now that is more realistic.
