Barisan Rakyat heads out to Kuala Terengganu
January 6, 2009

A convoy of 3 vehicles hit the Karak Highway round about 1.30pm this afternoon.
Was in the lead vehicle with

Big Gus at the wheel

Marina buried in a book at the back

RPK holding court throughout the drive

Zorro practising his 'don't mess with me' stance
By the time we got to Kemaman, everyone was so hungry and busy eating nasi dagang and drinking heavenly coffee at the famous Kedai Kopi Hai Peng that no-one thought to take any photos.
Next stop was at a Petronas station just before Rantau Abang, for some nicotine intake and to give RPK and the rest of the gang a chance to get into the campaign mood.

YB Dr Cheah, James & RPK flagging passing motorists

Lee & Kenny

James raring to go
As we drove through Rantau Abang, could not help noticing the run down state of the houses. In an oil-producing state, mind you!

We got into Kuala Terengganu a little after 7pm.
Honestly, does not look like a town that is about to host just about the most important democratic process before the UMNO elections in March.
Other than the fact that everyone who’s anyone in both BN and Pakatan are expected to be streaming in over the next couple of days.
We’ve been trying to get feedback from the ground on issues of concern to the voters. This will be ongoing.
We’re off early tomorrow morning to the nomination centre.
That’s all for now.
Don’t forget to keep sending out the sms’s.

You guys make politics look like a barrel of laughs (among other liquid substances). Now all you need is a Hunter S. Thompson on board to do a Fear and Loathing in Kuala Terengganu report. SYABAS and HERE’S TO ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE RAKYAT!

Malaysians continue their struggle against Umno lies, Umno bigotry, Umno stupidity, Umno idiocy. The new battleground is KT. Umno goons have been saying that KT is theirs. The people’s answer is very simple: NUTS.

Insya’ALLAH saudara semua akan berjaya melakukan perubahan ini.
Saya hanya mampu berkirim Do’a.
Keep healthy to all you guys.

“I am concerned with the manner some politicians exploit racial issues for their own agenda. Malaysia belongs to all races, not just the Malays. The country is what it is today because of the contributions of all races and that is something we must acknowledge.”

are seat belts required for such vehicles? if so you have just posted evidence of “serious” law breaking which carries a fine of RM 2000 or jail sentence. more than the “less serious” crime of speeding and reckless driving.
Good luck in KT
January 6, 2009 at 11:13 am
drive safely cos there are a lot of demons’ drivers out there!
January 6, 2009 at 11:14 am
Ha Ha! Both Marina and Pete didn’t have seat belts on!
But the police will have to prove that the vehicle was actually moving when the photos were taken. Good luck.
January 6, 2009 at 12:38 pm
