The rally that wasn’t

Yesterday, during lunch in PJ, I was alerted to a massive rally that was to take place today at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in KL.

Seems it was being organised by UMNO youth to get Malays to come out and loudly condemn Anwar’s recent public statements on the issue of whether Chin Peng should be permitted to return home.

At least, so the story went, that was the rationale that was being delivered to the ground in an effort to get a decent crowd attendance.

And if that rationale did not get the throngs in, I was told, then a promise of RM100 and food for each attendee was expected to do the trick.

Called some contacts in UMNO to check on this. Most said they had not heard of such a planned rally and did not think KJ would want to involve the youth wing in something like this, given the current public sentiment.

They felt certain that even if such a rally was being planned by the youth wing, they would try to orchestrate it to appear as if it were a spontaneous outpouring of anger by Malays generally, rather than an UMNO Youth organised rally.

By late last night, I had received confirmation from another source that such a rally was being planned.

Then I caught RPK’s ‘Calling all Malay youth and Mat Rempit’ post late last night.

Late, this morning, Nanda headed out to Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.

He alerted me to having sighted a TV3 heli passing over the road on a number of occasions.

I joined Nanda around lunch time.

We were there until about 4pm.

Nothing happened.

Wonder if this was a case of some sinister rumour-mongering akin to that which made its rounds post the Hindraf rally in November, 2007, or one of RPK’s posting throwing a spanner in the works of a devious and devillish UMNO Youth hate programme, which then had to be aborted?

Or could it be that even the Mat Rempit have completely gone off UMNO?

think this kind of rumor mongering should stop..unnecessary instigation through the electronic media by people who have no other agenda but to cause problems for the government..

RM100, nasi bungkus and still no one turn up? What kind of rally that no one attends? Maybe next time UMNO should mobilize all the PATI and foreign workers to attend their rally. Then UMNO should be changed to UNITED MAIDS, NONresident & Outsiders Organization (UMNOO).

Umno is a bankrupt and out-and-out corrupt party which has no scruples. The party stinks.

Anyway, the mat-rempits are too young to know who is Chin Peng.
Anyway, there is this more grappling development in Tehran (Iran) to follow on twitter than to attend such a protest in a sweltry Saturday afternoon.
Go visit this link to find out who WAS this lady NEDA.

Not quite…The correct question should be,

Could it be RPK was fed with true “inside” info and posted it as soon as possible to make those farktards in delima in whether to launch the police forbidding rally or not.

  19. Shakuntala Says:

If the mere verbal call by poor Anwar to ask the Government to allow Chin Peng, already old and at an age to be forgiven, needs a purportedly dangerous one-sided rally to protest against it, then what the religions are preaching…ie Forgiveness…is a mockery of the Almighty’s teaching.

This country thrives on emotions….this country thrives on stirring up racial politics, this country is careless of Government by the people, of the people and for the people. This country promotes a racist and slogan inclined culture…one that is nurturing careless citizens, to think the way it thinks…carelessly.

This country’s government wants to create a perpetual ‘enemy’ to keep the people confused and engaged in the negatives, whilst it rides rough shod and thinks nothing of the art of good and honest governance.

It is so ironical that the 1Malaysia ruling government is being asked what is the meaning of 1Malaysia? and no proper explanation is forthcing. Black coffee groups are in mourning over the issue

It’s painful, but who likes war remembering the horror that comes with it! I like to share with you this video on Youtube..

“Please forgive me” – after 33 years, this American GI said to the daughter and family of the man he killed during the Vietnam War.

  22. BANGKALIPOEYLUKIAKA Says:

Brother Haris, ha, ha,a good question inded.
Well, not all Mat Rempits are money-minded, I suppose.

Anyway, all young Mat Rempits will grow up and settle down some day, and they will ask themselves, what kind of federal guomen leaders are these?

Do they want their next generation to be drown by a gang of selfish and corrupted elites who are exploiting their own people?

I doubt the answer is NO, NO, NO…
