Just received the press statement below minutes ago
_________________________________________
We are gravely concerned about the manner in which the Parti Keadilan Rakyat election is being conducted by the Central Election Committee (JPP) and the party secretariat.
Today is the first day of polling where thousands of party members are eligible to vote at the polling centres in several Kedah and Kelantan divisions, which should have begun at 10:00 am. However, we have received numerous reports that members were unable to vote at several divisions this morning and many have left in frustration.
From the information we have received, the following problems were faced by local members at the respective divisions:
1. Kota Bharu, Kelantan: Although the ballot papers for the other positions were available, the polling did not proceed because the ballot papers for the position of Vice Chief of the Women’s Wing were not available.
2. Tumpat, Kelantan: The ballot papers have not arrived as at 12:00 noon and the ballot boxes were also not ready. Thus, many members left for Friday prayers.
3. Langkawi, Kedah: The ballot papers arrived very late and registration of new members is taking place whilst the polls are ongoing, and it seems that some of these new members are being allowed to vote.
4. Alor Setar, Kedah: The ballot papers have not arrived as at 12:00 noon and many members left for Friday prayers without voting.
Three out of the four divisions mentioned above nominated Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for the position of Deputy President, and a sizeable number of members were mobilised to vote for him at the fourth division in Langkawi.
In light of these alarming logistical problems on the very first day of polling, we expect more serious problems ahead; especially considering that there are only 10 divisions polling today and there will be 79 more divisions polling during this weekend.
Although the JPP and party secretariat assured us that the election will be conducted professionally to ensure a free and fair election, the above problems have cast serious doubts on the entire election process.
After discussing these problems with Dr Molly Cheah (the Chairperson of the JPP) this morning, we are now even more disturbed as she claims that she is no longer involved in the management of the election process. Indeed, she said that she has no knowledge of the briefing of the candidates and/or their election agents that was conducted at the eleventh hour last night by the party secretariat. She also said that she regrets the problems faced by voters at the divisions mentioned above but she is unable to do anything about it.
In light of these serious concerns, the party election should be halted immediately and resumed only after all these logistical problems have been remedied. If the JPP and/or the secretariat proceeds without resolving these basic but fundamental issues, the party will lose the trust of its members and also damage its reputation as a party that fights for democracy and justice for all Malaysians.
Moreover, if the Chairperson of the JPP claims that she is no longer in control of the election process, then she should no longer hold on to the position and resign immediately. Similarly, if the party secretariat, which is under the responsibility of the Secretary General, is unable to perform their duties properly, then the responsibility for the conduct of the party election should be entrusted to others who can do the job.

If PKR cant conduct a simple election of office bearers smoothly, how do we expect them to run our country in
the event the people vote them in as the next goverment?
Come on lah Wei! Pull up your shreaded socks.

Fantastic man, and stand in the rut of the robber barons of UMNO/BN forever. Pawn your whole family as well as your future generations also and let them curse you for your selfish stupidity. How much did you get during the last 5 decades? What is the difference between what you have and what the evil mamakthir mohamad kutty’s family have stashed away? So long as there are morons and imbeciles like you to sokong the arrogant, corrupt and racist scums in UMNO, this country will surely become another Zimbabwe.

I suspect this is part of the ongoing intrigues in PKR. No need to mention names – they are already well known. Sayang yang mereka sanggup membusukkan parti demi menjaga kuasa mereka. Tak ubah macam perangai orang UMNO. So PKR, thou shall indeed reap what thou sow. My advise to Zaid and Nurul Izzah – think hard outside the box; indeed the box is almost full of shit.

Sounds very silly, according to this report.
Resources wasted, goodwill and confidence of members and supporters not valued – signs of rot rather than resurgence. Efforts only UMNO losers would employ.

I think the only optimistic idea in this episode is:-
Let all the bad tactics & ‘trojan’ horses do their worst. They will be duly identified by their actions.
Then, after all the winning celebrations, haul them all up and sack them all from PKR.
One fell swoop and PKR is truly cleansed.
Hurray!

Looks like your greatest fear about PKR ( & Pakatan ) is coming true.
Everybody is now on his own. You grab what you can while you can kind of scenario. The head doesn’t know what the tail is doing and vice versa. Zaid is lost in the wilderness, mostly from his own detached ivory tower psyche while Anwar is fighting for his life, having being stung again & again by his “aides” with more being unleashed within the PKR.
and the Pakatan Bloggers ? I notice a gradual loss of influence unlike the euphoria of the post 2008 days. Maybe the “long” unrewarding war is taking its toll.
But luckily people like Malaysiakini, Malaysia Chronicle are doing a fine job. I dunno now where you will fit in as you do not have the reach that they have, and slowly many of the Pakatan Bloggers are losing steam, ever since RPK went to UK.
You cannot rely on Zaid – he is a bigger problem

Hail Anwar! Hail Azmin!! Excellent political machinations. They play their political cards extremely well. I always thought that if you change the voting stucture to allow a huge number of members to vote, it’s difficult to manipulate. But Anwar and Azmin have showed the world and especially UMNO how to do it. Excellent game of deception. They are still able to portray to members pkr is conducting a fair and democratic election and thus able to maintain a high moral ground. Any deficiency is is spun as acceptable since it’s a first members wide election. But in reality, they managed all the shots to ensure their supporters can vote whilst making it difficult for contenders. Really excellent political hoodwink.
In the meantime, have all of you pkr supporter ever asked what is the exact number of all members nationwide and at division level? You can’t be holding election without verifying exact figures.
Why are non members interested in coming to vote and be allowed to register?
Why are the election carried out in stages? How do you ensure some members do not vote twice or more?
All these are basic elements of democracy. If you really believe in fair election, these are the first thing you want to do to ensure principles are upheld. But no. Pkr allowed a major flaw to remain. Why? Ah ha, unless they want to control and manipulate the number of votes to sway the elections. This is an excellent structural flaw for manipulation. Excellent man. UMNO can follow this in their next internal election which also involved huge number of votes. Any deficiency can also be blamed as a first time experience. Way to go pkr in showing how election can be done.
If sprm can follow this Pkr example I’m sure more voters can vote. Apa? undi hantu? No one ever cared mah. Anyway how to determine when we have open registration anyway?

If Dr Molly Cheah, Chairperson of JPP claims she is no more involved in the pkr party election management proper, then who is?
Who ‘disabled’ Dr Molly Cheah?
As concerned citizens/electorates and Pakatan Rakyat supporter, I strongly feel we have the right to answers, no?
What’s cooking in pkr Madame President Wan Azizah? Your elegant silence is not going down well with most Malaysians, not doing any good for the party! Are you still in-charge?

Harris, I think you are wasting your time with the PKR jokers. They have put on their blinkers and can’t or do not want to see what is happening around them. Anwar, apart from being embroiled in his Sodomy II case and his infatuation with the likes of Azmin has been side tracked. It is high time some other credible person without skeletons in his closet takes over PKR and guides Pakatan Rakyat to Putrajaya.
If there is such a movement as the 3rd FORCE, it is not too late to articulate its aims and aspirations (People’s Parliament) clearly to the masses and start identifying potential candidates for the 13th GE.
It could field its candidates as part of Pakatan Rakyat together with the other three component parties. The 3rd FORCE might do better than the frogs and exUMNO louts in PKR. As for Anwar he is becoming more of a liablity to Pakatan Rakyat if he still clings on to his cronies and fights for their agenda.

It is a sad day to watch all this unfolding within pkr, it is even more sad that Zaid until today is yet to declare that he is a ‘Malaysian first’. Hence I couldn’t care to shed a tear for him any more.

October 30, 2010
If you had been following Zaid’s work and listening to him and his speeches I don’t think there is any need for him to declare if he is ‘Malaysian first’, it’s obvious. But if you insist, why don’t you go ask him personally rather than pecking here?
And btw why the tear, what tear for what?

Simon said something earlier and AR (supposedly Tun Tan Cheng Loke’s descendent) was probably graphic in response.
And I tried to post in response but failed. This guys post was posted in place instead. Maybe Loyar Burok site was blocked or something. But they at least have the capability to recall what was posted.
With all those tools and access to plastic surgery, passports etc.. How are we supposed to live meaningful lives, how will justice be served. So great displays of power and technology or net monitoring fine. Then what? Its just a massive prison with a bunch of people no different from us but unwilling to live normally.
Whats the point of pretending there is free society? Please study the links and try to do an exposition if it is within your capability and resources. If people are unable to vote or live freely anymore being influenced in the manner suspected, the end of humanity and democratic society has already occured.
Thanks and hear soon.

this is a report from the Malaysian insider. Just look at the figures.
it’s a very strange figure for direct membership election of hundred of thousands of pkr members. What more to be troubled by administrative procedure. Probably till far it’s small cabangs only and hundreds of thousand members more to come. I hold my breathe til then.
