Dear Haris,
Attached are the ballot papers for today’s PKR elections.
Among the divisions holding their elections on Sunday, 21 November are:
- Gombak

and 30 other divisions in Johor, Sarawak and Sabah.
The elections would officially commence at 10am today; I request this to be published before the elections begin, if possible.
I am only sending this to you as I trust that you will do the necessary to ensure that this shenanigans that is legitimized as an election is made known.

I agree with you dr. Harris should first verify these papers before ‘throwing a bomb’ like this. Remember that there will always be some ‘dirty hands’ to sabotage PKR. When by-elections are turned into buy-elections by BN, the MSM will not say anything. MSM is hiding too many things from the public when it comes to BN’s unethical processes in politics and governance. Here you are highlighting ‘election papers’ to again tarnish PKR – WITHOUT FIRST VERIFYING THEIR AUTHENTICITY AND ALSO WHETHER THERE IS ANY ELEMENT OF SABOTAGE TO IT. No matter what SOME may say about PKR, there are still many within the party who are willing to work and serve the people. Thare also MANY among Malaysians who will support PKR. I emphathise with you, PKR. Good luck to PKR.

This has to be the death blow to PKR’s sham elections.
Before the elections have started this week, we have here the fresh PINK ballot papers, the colour no one knew about, on exhibit for all to see.
If this person could obtain the ballot papers this early, before the elections, imagine how this PKR elections could be rigged (e.g., imagine pre-ticked ballot papers stuffed in pre-set ballot boxes that could then be included amongst the other ballot boxes to be counted; or the inclusion of pre-ticked ballot papers with the genuinely ticked ballot papers to skew the vote count).
No one can take these highly compromised elections seriously without earnest investigation.
p.s. I thought it was disgusting how Azmin Ali’s facial photograph was emblazoned bold, big and centered, flanked by the pictures of Anwar Ibrahim and Khalid Ibrahim, at the very recent PKR Selangor gathering.

haris ibrahim, talk and consult with Zaid and try to negotiate with Parti Cinta Malaysia leaders to work something out, which is beneficial for the rakyat. This issue of PKR = Parti Kelentong Rakyat practising “injustice” in a so-called justice party will not end as they are still having the same UMNO mentality or even WORSE. (i.e. they claimed to be people-oriented but in real fact are leaders-oriented). Better use an existing political platform to fight for the interests of all Malaysia, where we are PCM (Patriotic, Caring, Multiracial). PCM President has even agreed to amend the party constitution to make sure the president takes care of internal party matters and will not be a candidate for elections. Whereas the party leader will manage the politics. It is something like RPK’s suggestion to only have two contested post (akin to Nick Clegg’s Liberal Democrat party in the UK). Kindly consider and if agreeable, we can work out a solution to this third force woes.

I, like most Malaysians would like a change in the government. Things are deteriorating since my earlier days. We’re now lacking behind in this region. BN has been at the helm for too long. They should give others a chance to steer our country to prosperity, harmony and solidarity. I’m not for PR or opposition to BN. My primary concern is that whoever comes into power has to do the right thing – country first before self – rakyat first.

The possibility is there. Why can’t we Malaysians look at this ‘with a pinch of salt’. Sabotage is common when it comes politics. I saw the election process in many of the centres. I saw nothing that could contribute to fraud. The reps would endorse them all and there cannot be elements of cheating. ‘Outside’ elements are trying to sabotage PKR. That’s what I can see. Anyway, I wish PKR all the best. There are many Malaysians who support you.

Ok. What I see is a person having a ballot paper ahead of balloting in a few hours time.
Since voting is to take place in 10.00 am, the ballot papers have already been printed out since yesterday or the day before. It is not improbable for someone within PKR committee or from the printer company to have access to take pictures of the papers. I assume that the picture was taken today, which explains the urgency required by the sender of that email.
Doesn’t really prove much to be fair.

My dear, you are carried away by manipulated issues created by soome irresponsible people to sabotage PKR. I’m sorry. The actual scenario is just the opposite. We see the committee doing their best. The reps are there to see everything goes on fine. The results are endorsed by the reps. So, what’s wrong with the election? I salute PKR for its effort to have this electoral process. Only sore losers or those out to sabotage PKR would come up with senseless news that there is unfairness in this process. The issue of ballot papers going round before the election is just a way for some to sabotage the party. It won’t work. Good luck to PKR and hope to see Pakatan giving a good fight comes the next GE.

I am beginning to feel quite sorry for Anwar. He just brought in all kinds of wrong people into the party. I am appalled by the news item I saw on the 8pm TV3,showing mostly disgruntled Indian PKR members demonstrating in front of the PKR office. The kind of allegations they were throwing at people like Tian Chua was really in poor taste.Tian Chua is much admired and respected by the people in Batu constituency. He helps instead of politicking. Anwar should have focused on quality instead of quantity. He could have created a strong opposition instead of relying on people like Jenapala and Azmin to take him to Putrajaya. He has unleashed some thing that he has no control over now! I like the respect that is accorded to the opposition in the British Constitution. Amidst the ‘mob’pictures shown gleefully on TV3, I see that many are rebels without a cause. Some of these ‘angry’ PKR Indian politicians are doing more harm than good. Indians are a civilized bunch of people who can get things done in a more respectful way than resorting to theatrics. My advice to these wannabe leaders is to reflect and see what is to be done to help Malaysia and in particular the Indians. Former President Clinton suggested in a recent talk that loyalty to a country by its people could be achieved by creating job opportunities for all. What a simple and logical suggestion? This is a achievable objective that could be realised. Let us all aim for something tangible.

Seemss like BN/UMNO trojan horses are being unleashed at this moment to create a very bad image for PKR and PR now. No matter how bad PR parties, I believe they are better than BN and will not be any worse (except those who jumped from UMNO/MIC/MCA/BN). I think PKR should consider only taking those who are former ISA detainees only and not those from UMNO/BN in the future. For me, my vote is with PR – DAP, PKR or PAS because between the 2 bad parties, BN-UMNO is the worst of all. So, why vote for a DEVILISH party if you can vote for a slightly better party although it is not 100% perfect.

This cannot be true. The results of Sunday’s voting are fair. Just look at the results and give your comments. We all see positive. These ballot papers up there can be the work of those who want to sabotage PKR. There can be no way that cheating took place during voting. There are observers during voting and the results have to be endorsed by reps of those contesting. So why the fuss? There can be tons of papers poured out there to sabotage the party but what matters is THEY VOTED, OBSERVED BY THE REPS AND FINALLY THE RESULTS ENDORSED BY THOSE CONCERNED. IF NOT SATISFIED DON’T ENDORSE, BUT THE REPS ENDORSED. SO WHAT IS THE FUSS NOW? This is common sense and I just don’t understand why people must create all these issues. Harris should know this better. Earlier the wrong ballot papers were said to be the issue and now it seems the pink-coloured ballot papers are out in the open. This is just to sabotage PKR. Don’t worry, the people will still vote for DAP, PAS and PKR comes the next GE

According to Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, PKR Secretary General, the PKR election procedures include the 5 security features which include 2 and 3:
2. “All ballot papers need to be stamped by Election Officers at the division level just prior to giving them out to eligible voters. Any ballot paper without that stamp will not be valid.”
3. “Each week’s ballot papers will be printed on different coloured papers. This coloured code will not be known to any of the Election Officers until the day of the election. Therefore the impression created that that ballot papers can be reused or recycled is completely untrue.”
Question re procedure 2: If that is the procedure, and these two election ballot booklets can be verified as being part of the batch of official ballot booklets issued for use in this final week’s elections, then how did these two election ballot booklets with serial numbers A124282 and A123070 – and which do not appear to have been stamped with an official stamp nor to have any division’s name printed on them – get into this person hands for him/her to forward to Haris?
Question re security feature 3: Each week’s election is held over a three day period (from Friday to Sunday) so:
1. How can anyone be sure that the ballot paper colour code will remain a secret after the first election of that week has been held?
2. How would you be able to stop election officers and voters themselves from communicating the ballot paper colour to other division’s members who have not yet voted?
3. If the ballot papers do not have the division’s name and the date of the day of the election printed on them, how can anyone be sure that unused ballot paper booklets in one division are not used in another division’s elections in that same week?
Here are my gratuitous views on this seriously dreadful mess which as always can be heeded or ignored or discarded at will:
1. These elections are a sham.
2. They should have been stopped after week 2 but as that was not done then, they now need to be nullified otherwise they will destroy public confidence in PKR for good.
3. However, all is not lost because the problem has also presented a golden opportunity to PKR’s leadership to step in now and to show strong leadership for cleaning up the party once and for all and then to restructure its organisational structure into a more suitable lean and mean one with say, very few elected posts and with all other posts being appointed by the few elected leaders.
4. Elections for those restructured senior posts can be held at a later point in time after this one has been analysed in detail and its mistakes identified and all required lessons learnt.
5. Suggest divisions should be branches of the main party with branch managers appointed to take care of local matters and communications with party HQ.
6. Scrap all useless parts such as the Women and Youth sections as they are old fashioned, irrelevant, pointless, surplus to requirements and hence, redundant in today’s politics.
7. PKR should also stop being negative on all fronts and focus on focussing on the main objective and that means no more attacks on Zaid Ibrahim please. That would be unfair, unseemly and unprofessional and a waste of energy.
8. And finally: Best of luck to party president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and to PKR/PR!

The VP race is still on, maybe some one doesn’t want Nurul to be first or manipulate the results so some some favored people make it in the VP race. The basis for democracy is free and fair elections. The free here does not mean you get the ballot papers freely before the election day and time. Any party that claims to have a democratically elected leader then the free and fair election is a definite must. This principle cannot be compromised in any form. The party members must trust the party leadership before the public trust it. “Not only must Justice be done; it must also be seen to be done.” To quote from here, “Not only must Free and Fair election be done; it must also be seen to be done.”

I used have some respect for Wan Azizah, may be out of sympathy for Anwar’s arrest and Tian Chua before 308 because of his courage to stand up for what he believed in.
But now after watching PKR election manipulations lately, I have totally lost my respect for both of them, Wan Azizah for her total silence as the “Token” President, thus condoning them, while Tian Chua for his defense of the frauds by saying all they have received are complaints without proof.
Wasn’t this guy from Bersih who demands clean election before? Haven’t we heard similar reactions from BN/UMNO and SPR whenever PR complains of election irregularities? They always say the same thing,” Show proof” and when proof is shown more denial and nothing is done. PKR is doing EXACTLY the same thing.
The only person I still have some respect for is Nurul, but I’m not sure the respect will continue if she begin to sing the same tune as the rest and doesn’t speak out. Time will tell.
