In February, last year, I spoke at the SABM forum in Kota Kinabalu.
Jeffrey Kitingan was a guest speaker at that event and also went on to join us at the forum in Kuching.
I have to confess that had I not been at that forum to listen to Jeffrey, today I would still be languishing under a completely false understanding of what precisely was agreed upon by our forefathers in 1963 when Malaysia was formed with the participation of Singapore, Sabah ( then North Borneo ) Sarawak and the Federation of Malaya.
I was shocked that for so long, our brothers and sisters in Sabah and Sarawak may well have been robbed in so many aspects by having this truth buried for so long.
The matter of what precisely was agreed in 1963 and what may in fact be long overdue to our fellow Malaysians in Sabah and Sarawak is the very matter that makes up the first of the four pillars in the Rakyat Reform Agenda (RARA) of the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM).
For a quick glimpse of the four pillars that make up the RARA, have a look at the powerpoint slide below.
I am pleased to tell you that Jeffrey Kitingan will be speaking in our forums in Penang, Ipoh and JB on the matter of the Malaysia Agreement, 1963 and the 20-point agreement and, I hope, how the breach of these agreements has impacted on the lives of the people of Sabah.
Please take this opportunity to get the best possible clarification on this very important issue as well as the many other concerns that form the basis of MCLM’s proposed Rakyat Reform Agenda.
Hope to see you all at the forums.

finally someone is brave enough to say something about the unfairness that has been going on in malaysia particularly sabah and sarawak. right after malaysia was formed 1963 the first thing that was formed was the isa law so that nobody can say anything against kl.
