I think everyone is making unnecessary of the story relates by TR. He was part of the oil related matters from the beginning. Why didn’t he make a public statement on what was the position of Sabah leaders on matters related to oil prior to the crash? That is key to this whole fiasco that could break a nation. I think everyone is making unnecessary and BIASED CONCLUSION of the story relates by TR. He was part of the oil related matters from the beginning.
Why didn’t he make a public statement on what was the position of Sabah leaders on matters related to oil prior to the crash? HE WOULD KNOW and WOULD BE ABLE TO COMMENT.
This is is key to this whole fiasco that could break a nation.
TR owes it to everyone to explain in totality and not telling stories in bits and pieces and let the people making their own conclusion.
But the deceitful and corrupted scumbags and parasites within Umno are treating all their oppositions as law breakers all along, as the only way they can remain in power !
So did Gaddafi and the rest of the north African country leaders thought so but at the end the end will always justify the means !
Double Six gallery: Rahimah Stephens relives the tragic day that killed her husband Fuad, who was Sabah chief minister, and her eldest son Johari. Nine others, including three state ministers, died with them in an air crash that has remained a mystery after 34 years.
The mystery of an air crash that wiped out almost half of Sabah’s cabinet lives on.
The 1.2m-ringgit ($364,000) gallery in memoriam of an air tragedy that almost crippled the Sabah government has waited 34 years.
Former Sabah chief minister Harris Salleh was apologetic:
“We didn’t have the idea at that time,” he said. “It was not that we forgot to commemorate the tragedy, but we were busy developing Sabah.”
Built by the state government, the 372-square-metre (4,000-square-foot) gallery displays pictures, newspaper clips, memorabilia and videos of what is now known as the “double six” tragedy. It is a few steps away from a white memorial stone that marks the crash site at Sembulan in Kota Kinabalu.
Datuk Peter Mojuntin(36 at that time), the Golden son of Kadazans, was the father of now Sabah Finance Assistant Minister and UPKO’ s Information Officer, Y.B Donald Mojuntin.
Ironically, Donald Mojuntin was probably named after Tun Donald Stephens himself, a Kadazandusun Huguan Siou at that time.
“Meanwhile, when Yunof suggested that there was silence among the audience who attended Tengku Razaleigh’s talk because most of those in attendance were not yet born when the air crash happened and did not know the facts until the first defendant sensationalised what Tengku Razaleigh revealed in his introductory speech, Jeffrey said he disagreed with the suggestion.
Jeffrey also disagreed with Yunof’s suggestion that since the ownership of petroleum onshore or offshore of Sabah had already been vested into Petronas by virtue of Section 2 of the Petroleum Development Act, there was no need to sacrifice so many leaders in order to force Sabah to sign or accept the five per cent cash payment under the agreement that was supposed to have been signed on June 6, 1976.”

Sabah Progressive Party president Yong Teck Lee said that Tengku Razaleigh’s first-hand account during his recent visit to the state of how his life had been saved when he left the ill-fated aircraft at the very last moment when he was invited by former chief minister Harris Salleh to board another aircraft, reopens speculation about the crash.
But his revelation could also, according to Dr Jefferey Kitigan means nothing other than being thankful to be alive. Video by S L Chong, Citizen Journalist
“KOTA KINABALU, Nov 19, 2011: Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Harris Salleh informed the High Court here yesterday that he had signed the five per cent oil royalty agreement between the State government and Petronas after he was sworn in as the Chief Minister following the death of his predecessor and following the advice of the then state Attorney-General that the agreement was proper.
He said that as far as he could remember, the agreement was signed on the evening of June 6, 1976 or the next day. Harris however said he was not sure whether or not the five per cent oil royalty was already fixed by statute…”
Kind of a James Bondish film, all with convenientlhappenings to this scenario….clever management, indeed.!!!
10 important people ‘jatoh’ from a plane crash which is reportedly acclaimed a tragedy!! One of them was the very important CM of Sabah, the late Donald Stephens who became Fuad Stephens.
Then, the film rolls to reveal the speedy installation of the next CM Harris Salleh, definitely a pro federal government kaki who quite conveniently signs away a huge portion of the oil royalties, to the BN government……a give away which Donald Fuad Stephens fought so bravely against, in order to obtain a bigger share for his beloved state of Sabah.
Poor Sabah got a mere pittance……in comparison to about more than 90 percent for the Federal Government………..
Its well, documented that Fuad Stephen had insisted on 20% of oil royalty. Tengku Razaleigh, who was in charge of Petronas, in this speech seems to have implied that HE had agreed to it already. From the beginning, when Haris Salleh signed for 5%, it was contrroversial. THIS speech clearly is a Freudian slip of the truth..
