“I don’t believe in cowering to threats of violence and unrest. The bloodshed of May 13, 1969 happened a decent number of years before I was born and the matter is still being brought up every now and then. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GIVE IT A REST!!! At the end of the day, it will only be brought up if people still fear it” - Crankshaft

nothing changes when it comes to racial politics with religious undertone. The ruling govt has successfully used this ‘divide & rule’ strategy since the colonial time…Only we the normal Rakyak can hopefully put a stop to this divisive politics…

I hear many ask if it will happen, I have not heard asked what we shall do if it does.
Therefore the plans must still be made.
This is the only way for Malaysians to free themselves from fear: taking charge of our own destiny even in the face of the most terrible of fates and dangers.

this is not plan to worry about whether may 13 will happen, but to worry for rakyat what have may 13 robbed the greater good. do hope more would work with more Malay rakan-rakan to see the greatest people who loses are the one who don’t see how may 13 rob the chance for the nation to end special rights, as suggested by Reid commission. do provide comment with this.. if you are moved.. please share. https://katasayang.wordpress.com/2012/07/29/takkan-melayu-hilang-di-dunia-topsy-turvy/

I was very young when it happened but I remembered some key moments those days (and for some reason nights in particular) and I agree it won’t happen again – not that no one will try but most Malaysian will not buy the excuses. The kind of political engineering and conspiracy possible before is no longer possible these days..If it was possible, Anwar, and likely, most top opposition leaders would be in jail now. The truth is even the scam that Ops Lallang was, its not possible now these days..Look at what they are trying to do with demonisation of Bersih – its just don’t work anymore..
You want to know why – look at the second generation of PAS, PKR and DAP leaders – they are committed young and educated people that are ultimately will not cower to such schemes. You might as well say the Cultural Revolution of Mao could be pulled off here again if you were to try these things..

I was 8 when it happened and since my father was in the army we had a tour of the grounds on the way to safety in Mindef. We are Chinese and our Malay folks treated us very well until the days we went to Wardieburn Camp after the fires died down. What i mean is that it should not have happened then nor today nor tomorrow but it did.
Most people are nice and peaceful but it was a teeny weeny spark that was not. And that was all it took. So do not be surprised if hell break loose even it is not us who started it.
