Actually, ABU has been operating in Sabah for some time already, but not visually obvious to all and sundry.
Why do you think Musa Aman had me barred from entering last December?
But now, our media campaign is starting to go to ground.
You may think that the photos below do not amount to much, but what they do not tell you is how extensively our pamphlet is being disseminated.
Guys, keep at it and keep the photos coming in.

Haris,
I’m proud that people are starting to realize that UMNO should be kicked out. However, I have serious qualms about the pasting of stickers on public amenities and painting of pillars on highways to spread the ABU message. Have you ever tried removing those ah-long stickers? It’s a f-ing pain in the butt. And we can’t really argue those stickers/paintings are a form of protest art.
For example, if some UMNO trooper goes around town and pastes “Vote BN” stickers and paint the “Vote BN” stickers everywhere, it won’t change my mind, nor would it be effective in changing a fence-sitter’s mind (unless he sees it as vandalism and decides there and then that a party supported by vandals doesn’t deserve his vote).
I just don’t want the fence-sitters to mentally link the ABU initiative to vandalism. Sorry for being uptight, but I’m really just calling a spade a spade.

Klaw,
Can you think of a better way of going about it, instead? Bearing in mind that ABU is in need of the funds and public support to spearhead this campaign. We need to start somewhere. Have you contributed towards making this campaign possible by the way?

I am a veteran in advertising, marketing and branding. While these stickers and notes makes a difference. From experience, If your goal is a national size one, you are far from it. Every branding expert will tell you, if you do these eye-balls things you need to blow it up in size – big billboards are many times better than small ones, big screen many times better than small screens..Pamphlets make sense even when its small because its more personal to the audience but not posters. But these photos of the stickers, they are very very good but not the point really..

Go on ABU reach out, you are doing so well. Bravo!!!!.
You don’t really have to blow up ABU Mr. BIgjoe. Remember besides branding, people are also distributing the leaflets and people who receive them are already in the know of who and what ABU is….this is a modest beginning, but ABU’s message will soon reach out far and wide.
Sometimes, small things are more noticeable than big ones, this is the case with ABU….slowly, slowly catchee monkey!!, as the saying goes
ABU, embodies the collective inner vision of most Malaysians, for a better Nation and is reaching out to the length and breadth of Malaysia…when one reaches out, one is aware of the space that is still available..
