Ibrahim Ali recently sounded a warning to the Chinese and the Malays. He said that the Chinese community will become a national security threat if they become more powerful economically and politically. He warned of the likelihood of another May 13 tragedy.
I had first thought of ignoring whatever Ibrahim Ali said or has to say.
He is after all of no real relevance to the outcome of the coming general elections and the political future of this country—just a loudmouth trying to salvage his political career, and not surprisingly, going about it in the manner of self-destruction.
But on second thoughts, as there are so many out there like him, those who think that their ‘jihad” in their sojourn in this world is to champion what they perceive to be the interests of their race, even at the expense of the rest of Mankind, I decided to “put pen to paper” in the hope that there may be time yet for some of them to reflect on their views and prejudices and take the opportunity to make amends before their time is up to meet their Maker.
To Ibrahim and his kind, do you not know that a Malay has no superiority over a non-Malay, and thatsuperiority is not by birth or colour or blood, but by being God-fearing and the exercise of righteousness?
Just in case you should disagree, Ibrahim, then know that that statement was made, save for my having substituted “Arab” with “Malay”, by none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during his last sermon.
Did he not also ask that this message of non-racism in Islam be conveyed to everyone who was not present there?
Have you conveyed this message, Ibrahim?
Surely you know too that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
“ Let people stop boasting about their ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. All men are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust.”… (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi).
And if perchance, Ibrahim, the Chinese are indeed or do become more God-fearing and righteous than the Malays, why would you deny them their full right to participate in the political arena of this nation and to play a part in determining their own future by demonising them?
Or have you decided that the Chinese are incapable of being God-fearing and acting righteously?
Would you like to expound this view to the members of the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA)?
Why then do you seek to deny them their rights?
Does not the Holy Qur’an spell out that it was revealed to the whole of Mankind so that they could become God-fearing and act righteously?
Or did you somehow think it was revealed just to the Malays?
Sure, the Muslims form one brotherhood, but are you incapable of seeing the larger brotherhood of humanity?
Did you forget that Almighty God created us from one man and one woman?
Did not the Holy Prophet teach:
“”O people, know that the Lord and Sustainer is One. Your ancestor is one, your faith is one. The Arabism of anyone of you is not from your mother or father. It is no more than a tongue (language). Whoever speaks Arabic is an Arab”.
O! Ibrahim. I fear for you.
Surely you are aware that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, or curtails their rights, or burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud)
Do you then wish the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to be a witness against you on the Day of Judgment?
And surely you are aware that what transpired during May 13 bears no comparison to the fires of hell.

If we truly profess a God who is the God of all humanity, how can we not recognise the dignity of another? If we truly believe He is Who is, and that we are all made in His image, how on earth can we degrade ourselves with such thoughts, to doubt our own divinity with such base thoughts and words? Praying so much and in such an orderly manner does not seem to make the Muslim strong in will and character….neither does someone like Ibrahim Ali who just displays simple bravado but has no depth as a person. He can be easily classified as someone whose faith in God is very superficial. He is a half-baked Muslim whose knowledge of God and HIs commandments is perhaps just superficial…..for instance his careless remarks about non-Muslims who have the same weight and worth with God., no matter what earthly human beings think or say, is past his simple mind to grasp.
Haris, your clear and good teaching will fall on his deaf ears, or else he is too fat and too thick skinned to pay attention to the moral aspects of loving your neighbour as yourself for the love of God.
He is a silly noise maker, a dumb bum…….who has a hole in his fat head!!!.
His suspicion of the Chinese is natural for a simpleton like him……the Chinese are mostly intelligent, whereas he is so very stupid..the contrast scares him…it is pure envy and jealousy of someone endowed better than bim.

He is assured by the people in the corridors of power, no harm will come upon him as he is contracted with the UMNuuus dirty job.that they are too scared to do. Who can forget Constitutional Malay Reezal Merican Naina Merican, speaking from the podium as Umno Youth information chief, declaring, “When it comes to power, since 55 years ago, He had chosen Umno as the ones to liberate our country. Remember, we are mukhtarin, the chosen ones” ?
Deperado trying to use the name of his God and his Consititutionally defined race (as opposed to what his DNA indicates) for his own political ends?
I wonder what true Islamic scholars would say about that.

Actually, what is so wrong for IA to state that the Chinese will become a security threat? But IA needs to get behind the Americans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Fillipinos in the cue…. Goodness, with the Chinese having 1.3 billion people, sitting on a humongous capital reserve, an aircraft carrier to boot, man… dang we are shivering!!
Then, we haven’t taken into account the huge, we mean huge amount of overseas Chinese in US, UK, Australia, Timbuktu… okok… its a long list…. including Malaysia. Who cares whether they speak Mandarin or don’t share as many common traits as China Chinese… man, these guys are still sleepers.. waiting to beckon the call of the motherland to wipe out every other race. How about the two pandas in Putrajaya? A diabolical plant near you know whose office.
Fact being facts, if BN wants to win, its obvious they need to tweet their propaganda machine… May 13, IA and the other Alis’? Next IA is talk about taking our subs into the disputed territories. Apparently, the likes of Perkasa doesn’t understand what and how globalization has changed our world and world view. BN if they retain power should make him ambassador to the UN… he will come back a changed man or maybe he may even sign up to join MCA.

his message will probably reach out to the less intellectual beings having little or no exposures to the political landscape that is happening now. still, we cannot discount his influences over a minority purely for beneficial gains. he has, afterall, the right to free speech and his opinion and it is still up to us to define logic and apply our common sense to what degree of his speech can generate sympathy. personally, he is behind time and becoming a relic of past prime what with the present technology advances of information available in the WWW.
we simply have to, and focus on producing and breeding more quality politicians equal only to the standards and principals we are and will be living in these evolving period. and only then, people like him, can be easily discarded and just die away with no self worth and achievement to relish on.

He is NOT one-dimensional – because he learned from Mahathir to make up excuses WITHOUT REAL BASIS – Mahathir made up the Malay Delima – still agreed to be a work of fiction whose only substance is some justification of changing the then situation. Ibrahim Ali learned from that and others to make up EVEN MORE work of fiction as excuses.
We know from history people such have him have their glory days in the sun because of the weakness of their society – They essentially exploit the weakness of their society, not builders. When that society no longer is weak in somethings, they seek more but find it harder and harde and eventually run out because firstly they need A LOT OF EXCUSES and secondly, there just not that many all the time..

It moved me to tears to read such a truthful article, mind you, from a Malay who has chosen to call a spade, a spade. At the moment there are quite a number of Malays who share the same thoughts with Harris. Just twenty years ago you could hardly read such enlightening letters from a Malay. I am beginning to see a ray of hope at the end of the proverbial tunnel for a better non-racist Malaysia.
