Give me a number and I will tell you that that is still not enough.
I’ve shared with you HERE the work that is cut out for us.
So, yes many hands make light work.
And at the same time, the more the merrier
You don’t know if you have what it takes?
Most feel that way when they send in their e-mail to ABU to volunteer their time.
So what we do is hold training sessions at the seretariat to arm volunteers with a clear understanding of how we are fighting this war to bury UMNO / BN.
Last Saturday, the first batch of volunteers went through a second training session with Hawkeye.
They must have been sufficiently motivated by what Hawkeye had to say and the lively disussion that followed each segment of the training session because when it was announced that we would be carrying out a Black Ops the following day, several immediately volunteered to join the Ops team whilst those who could not due to prior commitments asked to be informed early about the next Ops so they could join
Before I share details of the latest Black Ops with you let me first tell you about an interesting ABU initiative that is being planned for volunteers during campaign period after parliament has been dissolved.
We are planning walkabouts in the towns in the constituencies where ABU’s efforts are focused. Volunteers will join in these walkabouts to share with voters there as to the real state of the nation and why it is now imperative that UMNO / BN be removed from Putrajaya.
Yes, you will have training sessions first before you go on those walkabouts.
Interested?
If you are, or would like to volunteer your time to help us with other aspects of the work we are doing, please go HERE and do the necessary.
The Black Ops?
Remember the ABU message to foreigners to not interfere with our electoral process?
Click on the thumbnail to get a PDF copy of the message.
Yesterday, a team of volunteers led by DL hit KL to deliver this ABU message to the foreigners who were out and about.
I’ll let the photos tell the story.

Haris, I really don’t know what to say, except a big, “THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH”. Whilst many are just still in the talking, “I wish you all the best”, “I admire you”, and passing encouraging comments stage, me included, you are there, in the thick of things, doing the work of several men.
We all have our valid reasons why we can’t help in person, but those that can’t be personally present, I do hope that they will join me and keep you and your staff, volunteers, etc., in prayer.
When, and IF, Pakatan win, and they will, if we can get rid of the “hantu voters”, etc, I wish that the people will be grateful, for their win will be surely be as a result of your work and sacrifice.
Don’t expect any gratitude from Pakatan itself, for that will nit happen, but at least you have done what you have, which is really a huge thing.
THANKS AGAIN HARIS.
MAY THE GOOD LORD, INDEED MAY ALL THE GODS JOIN TOGETHER AND BE WITH YOU, YOUR TEAM, THE VOLUNTEERS, ETC.

If you think about the challenge of Lembah Pantai alone – more than 15K new voters in a constituency where only 40K voted in 2008 and Izzah won by less than 3K, then you get the idea the challenge of ABU..

This is fantastic and I think it will have a major impact. However, could we be starting this a little too early. You know, short memories and all … and over time, the effect may wear off, UMNO may have the chance to counter this effort etc. You can bet the IGP will soon come out with a statement reassuring all “eligible” voters of their right to cast a ballot etc. Should we not be saving this for the actual run up to polling – during campaign period?

Haris,
With elections looming, I think a campaign to educate the new voters how to mark their ballot papers is important.
What do you think?
I think Tindak Malaysia has such an initiative

Haris,
Now that I am in my kampung and have spoken to a few people, I am sorry to say that it appears there is little opportunity to hand out such pamphlets.
After almost 55 years of being a BN stronghold, both federally and statewise, it is, already, a virtual walkover here in my kampung, if party flags and voter sentiment are anything to go by.
It is almost as though voters here are just waiting for the BN corpse to turn up on election day so they can bury BN – face down.
One has to constantly remind people here that the election is not yet held nor won yet and we should not count our chickens before they are hatched.
Yes, bro, we cannot afford any complacency

Haris is, as Haris was, and always will be—a fighter to the end and will give it all he has got and with whatever risk it takes. Yes indeed, I have known him a very, very long time and know too his unselfishness in this matter in that he does not ask for anything for himself.
Lately when I met him, he told me that if anything were to happen to him, he hopes that I will see to the well-being of his kids.
Friends, here we have someone prepared to fight our battles for us at total risk to himself.
Let’s all be more than generous to make his path a little easier to fight our battles.
YNWA,
Thank you for your assurance to look out for them should the need arise
