On 14th May, 2007, this blog carried the following post :
The following seat shall fall vacant upon the announcement of dissolution of the 11th Parliament. The sitting MP has demonstrated himself to be unworthy to continue to hold such office. Interested candidates may apply. There is no closing date.
1. Seat : Jerai
Requirements : The ideal candidate must be free of any supremacist inclinations and must be committed to the concept of ‘Bangsa Malaysia’. He or she must be of such moral fibre as to understand the solemn duty to abide and honour the oath of office to defend and preserve the Constitution.

Of a total of 50,918 votes polled, Badruddin took 30,154.
His opponent from PAS received 19,749.
The voter ratio then was 77.4% Malays, 16% Chinese, 6.2& Indians and 0.3% others.
I never ever thought I would say this, but for this constituency, I am prepared to go all out to campaign for a PAS win, if this seat is again contested by PAS.
If you want to have 1/2 a chance to make sure he’s not in Parliament next round, the work starts now.
Any readers from Kedah in this blog who want to start work now on ensuring that we do not have to see this fella’s face in the news again after the next elections?
If so, please send me an e-mail at thepeoplesparliament@gmail.com and we can get to work.

Plz highlight his comment on Wheelchairs & Karpal Singh among every home in the constituency.
Seek out every person in a wheelchair and tell them that according to their MP, God is punishing them.

Jerai constitution are basically a very backward rural with the least development required. There are an army camp there. The people there are basically involved in agricultural activities with a handful of them are from the natives roots.
By the way, can we mapped out how this constitution size up ?
The only reason this MP qualified mainly because people there are lured into voting BN without considering who he is.
Send someone to take some pictures of the areas and post them up.
We can see from there and judge ourselves.

I am voting elsewhere but morally I am with all the constituents of Jerai if they want to vote their BN MP out. This morally bankrupt and mentally handicapped mp (small caps intended) is reflective of the UMNO culture.

A roadshow to Jerai to show the people there the video clips of their MP humiliating himself and shouting profanities in parliament would help I guess.
Maybe a mamak wide screen style would do it.

Getting the MP out is one thing. Ensuring the people of Jerai gets the care they deserved is the main thing. This should be the main responsible to the voters. Blindly vote out someone and put a maniac that will storm your bedroom in middle of the night asking for marriage certs is not something better off.
When Iraq was so called ‘liberated’, some of the people celebrated. Now, they don’t do that anymore.

When voting out a BN MP means roads will not be fixed, collapsed bridges will be ignored, schools will be closed, businesses will be slapped with various red tapes to operate.. I don’t think this will go down well with the rakyat who are struggling to put food on the table each day.

Im sick and tired of this man’s bad mouth! @#$%^&*
He deserves to be “punished” in the next GE but sadly thats not gonnna happen.
Why? Im sure the majority of his constituents dont appraise their ahli parlimen’s performance !

Very difficult to get rid of this moron, because his constituents are also morons. Conventional wisdom and trium dictate that morons back morons. So we will have to put up with this moron till the cows come home. Malaysia Boleh, Jerai Boleh.

Haris, I think this approach “Situation Vacant” is great! Can you please post more of such notices (we should help out by pointing out who deserves to go and why). I think the suggestions for a video/public talk road show showing how their MP behaves is also doable. And at the same time, we have to show an example of a sterling MP/candidate (Zaid Ibrahim is the only such UMNO MP whom I can think of, just to show them that they should vote the man, not the party) who will bring up issues in Parliament to improve their lives at the level of legislation, rather than the bagi-kain-pelikat kind of help every election.
Siew Eng,
Do me a favour? Visit Citizen Think Tank ( it’s linked to this blog ) and then let me know how much of what you’re suggesting here has not already been taken on board at CTT.
Just trying to avoid duplication of effort.

Put this guy in Ipoh timur on the next GE and see the carnage but I’m sure BN wouldn’t do that to the leading court jester as they need clowns like him to keep them entertained in parliment. Btw what’s this clown’s education background like?

Our MPs are certainly banyak kurang ajar with what words they throw at others.Just because they are in power now, they think are indispensable. It is about time people showed it is the People who run the government as their reps and not the Govt run the people for their luxurious life they lead. What with their business, bungalows and mercedes benz!
