…and knock a few men holding the highest offices in the land off their lofty perches.
So I’m told.
I am reliably informed that at 11.00 30 am this morning, Anwar Ibrahim will hold a press conference at PKR’s spanking new HQ at Merchant Square, Tropicana to reveal evidence linking Najib to Altantuya.

Dear Haris,
With all these “bombs” dropping on our home ground, the real victims are the common people, in your term the “Rakyat”. It has become more and more difficult earning a living and yet you all who had so much time and money to spend in the name of fairness and justice. For who. Are you all being fair and just to all those who have had sincerely toil this land.
This news does not excite me at all. In fact, it is very worrisome – safety of my family, ability to make sufficient income to meet basic needs, values we hold dear are collapsing, we cannot trust anyone anymore….
People’s Parliment in seeking just and fair society, will instead land on a chaotic ground.
No thanks.
kimlye,
I will not apologise for seeking a fair and just society.
I too work to put food on the table.
I too worry for my family.
But I also worry about yours.
And that’s why I work to try and achieve a fair and just society.

The armed forces will be called in to assist police in maintaining public order if the security situation of the country warrants it, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
“However, this will only be done after consultation with the Home Affairs and Defence Ministers,” he told reporters after witnessing the launch of the inaugural six-day joint police-armed forces exercise at the Royal Malaysian Police Senior Officers College in Cheras Wednesday.
Musa said it was the responsibility of both the police and armed forces to ensure that peace and security prevailed in the country at all times.
He said one of the reasons why the police and armed forces held the joint exercise was to ensure they were prepared for the situation, following recent challenges faced by law enforcement agencies here.
“The exercise is also to enhance the cooperation between the police and the army, besides helping improve coordination, logistics and communication between the two forces,” he added.
Army chief Jen Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Zainal said the exercise would be held in two phases to better enhance implementation during a national security-threatening scenario.
“The first phase will involve discussions and, when the time is right,

Since it is RPK’s server problem but not because Malaysia BLOCKed his IP, then no need to surf via proxy la.
I will just leave it for time being, just in case the BLOCKAGE coming and we have way to access.

Dear Kimlye,
PP’s series of posts on ‘Petrol’ ARE about common people feeling the pinch.
MSM coverage only talks down to ‘the masses’ telling us what the govt says is good for us – “change our lifestyle, tighten our belts, think Conservation-use public transport”.
How the price hike is a blow to the gut is not a lived experience for MSM journos [like that uncredited (i.e. no byline given) leader writer I deconstructed in Petrol (3)] – that’s why such Sun-stroke articles so lack humanity. They cannot see the suffering human faces at the back of the bigger picture.
You ask us, “all who [have] so much time and money to spend in the name of fairness and justice. For who (?)”
We, you and I, are both registering our comments in the witching hours (unless you live in a different time zone) and Haris moderated yours at 3am – we make the time.
Nor does it cost money to set up a blog – anyone can do it. What it costs money to do is set up New Media outlets to bring the MSM’s decayed and destructive worldview & spin online, and teleport their soulless reporters into cyberspace.
That which participants contribute to this forum are intangibles (worth not measurable by money), like the readers who have introduced words and ideas … to me at least … (e.g. Mat Rempit: “pleonastic”, CTW: “hermeneutics”), and their time & their thoughts and interest & care.
This engagement helps all of us here on a steep learning curve – unlike the media portal Malaysia Votes – website to be reincarnated later under a new name – which reckons its readers’ insufficient English and deficient grammar have to be stringently edited b’cos its editors are the ones setting the high ‘journalistic’ standards.
Yup, we want fairness and justice for all, which in its abstract principle should also apply to Saiful Bukhari.
When you say “values we hold dear are collapsing, we cannot trust anyone anymore”, it goes back, doesn’t it, to ‘anomie’ (definition in my comment above at 3.19am). And to address anomie, we can’t get away from the larger issues like governance and leadership (and the Anwar, Najib, etc ‘bombshells’).
I’m glad that you do see People’s Parliament as seeking a just and fair society. It is these attributes of society that will cast the safety net for those facing difficulties toiling to earn a living. And a just and fair society as well that will concern itself with the safety of individuals and their families; an unjust society is likely to become a kleptocracy of the rich where human dignity of those not belonging to the ruling oligarchy is given scant regard.
(Thanks Haris for your time in moderating my comments).

I wake up, come here, and find this.
My dad has been extra worried about Anwar’s safety, asking me every now and again whether he has been nabbed, or if there are any latest news on him. (My dad was so worried that he didn’t even sleep well the night we found out that he was accused of sodo-mee again)
My dad and I are probably the only ones left in my house who still follow Malaysian politics from 8500km away. And we worry too for the safety of my other family members still living in the heart of KL. I may not be directly affected by the goings on in Msia, but I definitely have family back there who still have to slog to make ends meet.
I guess in a way, I’m responding to the comment from kimlye above. Because I believe that it is in the rakyat‘s interest that justice and equality be fought for. If for the sake of “peace” (meaning here no rallies or protests), we forsake that true justice be sought in the Altantuya case, what society are we trying to shape?
I’m actually happy that I’ve jumped into the bandwagon along with so many others and started a blog after the GE2008. Because it was through writing, and reading other blogs that I’ve started to learn so much about what society is all about. (Here’s a small thank you for Haris, and Helen too!)

If it is True?
Looking at the whole scenerio, one may piece the pic together.
Najib was given words or informed of DSAI’s intention to expose (through Saiful) on the AG, IGP and now this latest “News”.
He najib has no choice but to go for the first strike to subdue DSAI thru’ saiful police report while threats were made on AI’s life. AI ran to seek refuge in the ambassy, assured of protection he left. AI wife meeting with PM – additional assurance.
AI melawati’s gathering ..garner support to increase his level of confidence to go to this next step.

Kimlye,
I too, am working and am frustrated with the rising cost of living. I know how some of us fear for the safety of their family in times like this, and I understand that fear, especially for people who had been through May 13th. But, we cannot afford to live in a climate of fear forever. If we don’t fight for a fair and just society, who will?
Is life only about earning a living? Will you be happy to live in a country where your basic rights are trampled upon? Will you be happy to live in a country where gross injustice is institutionalized?
It may not affect you directly now, but who can guarantee that it will not happen to you in the future?
I admire and support Haris and people like him who have the courage to stand up for what is right.

“”Army chief Jen Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Zainal said the exercise would be held in two phases to better enhance implementation during a national security-threatening scenario.””
I see this as a threat!!!
Do we fear another Public Order situation. Times have changed and the present situation is entirely a different scenerio all together as compared to may 13.
Looking at the last GE results, it was close to 50 -50 of support for each side. In other words Pakatan’s support is a force to reckon with. Now the Security forces will have to deal with the 3 main races as opposed to may 13.
The case against najis does not threaten natioanl security. It is a criminal case and should Public Order being declared we would be the laughing stork or clowns in the eyes of the world.
Badawi is still in control.
But Looking at another angle, is najib repeating what his father did, to forcing Badawi to step down. I am sure he has that in mind and all the saying of support for Badawi are bullshit. If so we can expect another public order but a minor one. But will najib get the support of the other ministers or umno to do it??.
For the army chief, I think you have to wake up and look at the scenerio and environment in the correct perspective and not to pass unduly uncalled remarks to put fear into the populace.

I have to ask why the all fire hurry to get anwar in as PM? I’d like the PKR to PROVE that they can do a good job lah.
I also dont think it’s fair to ask someone to vacate their seat (which the people VOTED for them btw) just so someone can get the seat so he can be in power again? What’s wrong with that picture?
PKR has to be more than a “one man hero worship” party lah. If you also can’t do the job, kick em out! That applies to anyone regardless of political spectrum.
all these plans for “national security” just reeks of hoping something will happen so they can declare state of emergency and continue screwing us all.

Kimlye, the mentality of the people is the root cause to the problems faced by Bolehland for the past 50 years where the ugly and dirty politicians raped this country and its people under the pretext of democracy and decoy of NEP.
Haris is right, we are all working very hard to earn a living but our conscience is clear. We want to see a True Malaysian Breed in Bolehland, not racial discriminations.
8th Mac has signaled a new dawn for Bolehland. If everyone is a coward, and possesses selfish attitude, this country will be ruined even faster, sinking like a Titanic.Your next generation will not be spared, they will sink together or may be faster than the others.
Time to wake up and see the forest, not only the trees. You must have great courage and determination and the Rakyat needs you to champion for a better tomorrow, minus the corrupted ruling elites, of course.

Hubungan dan Konspirasi Anwar-Najib -Malaysiakini
Sila layari http://www.keadilantruth.blogspot.com/
Malah Rasulullah s.a.w melaknat golongan yang meliwat isteri melalui dubur.Menurut Abu Hurairah r.a, Nabi s.a.w telah bersabda:”Sesiapa yang mendatangi wanita atau isteri melalui dubur (liwat) atau menemui tukang tilik lalu membenarkan apa yang dikatakannya, sesungguhnya dia telah kafir (tidak mengimani) risalah yang telah diturunkan kepada Muhammad s.a.w.” – Hadis riwayat al-Darimi.
Penzina

4. Altantuya, Datuk Seri Najib and Razak Baginda had all been seen together at a dinner in Paris (Paragraph 28.2).””
Looks like Najib got caught pants down, can he loosen the noose after all the lies of not meeting Altantuya??
What will be Najib’s next move?
Can he deny this? ” Razak also informed Balasubramaniam that he had received an SMS from Najib and showed it to him; the message read “I am seeing IGP at 11 A.M. today …. matter will be solved … be cool”.”
