Malaysiakini reports that following a directive from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), internet service providers are not allowing access to Malaysia Today.
Upon receipt of information, I went to a website accessible through http://mt.harapanmalaysia.com/2008/ and, yes, it does resemble the Malaysia Today that I have grown accustomed to.
Go on, have a look yourself and tell me if that does not look and read like Malaysia Today.

Assalamualaikum,
Looks like MCMC/TM redirect and poison the DNS entry to point to Mtoday to localhost 127.0.0.1
Perhaps MT/Bro Haris could suggest all the visitor to use oversea’s DNS server instead of the one provided by Streamyx/ISP.
They could use below DNS IP in their TCP/IP setting.
– such as : ns1.betterbox.net 68.90.68.18
or use harapanmalaysia DNS server
– ns1.harapanmalaysia.com 72.47.218.28
– ns2.harapanmalaysia.com 72.47.236.85
– ns3.harapanmalaysia.com 117.120.1.154
or any other external parties DNS servers.
It is just a matter of time for them (MCMC/ISP) to redirect harapanmalaysia.com as well.

Well, they will never learn because their case is beyond salvation point. It is affirmed that Mr Mongolia is behind this nefarious plan. But this is a battle that he will lose. If Malaysia-Today publishes incendiary statements, what does Utusana Munafik</i? publish? Rosy statements? If Malaysia-Today publishes unsavoury statements and comments, what do BN leaflets such as Nasty paper (NST), Utusan Munafik, B.Harian and The Star publish? Stupid people. We shall overcome them.

i was there at sembilang poling station on polling day, i heard the sudden loud noises of jeering, quickly i ascend from the car to observe what is going on, i was wearing a keadilan tshirt, i walk on the side of keadilan of supporters, i saw najib got out from the car other side of barisan supporter. he was standing up giving moral support to the barisan ground troop. while barisan supporters were shouting liwat, keadilan supporters replied with altantuya. the noises from the shout increase as keadilan supporters were winning the vocal wars with” altantuya , altantuya”. one also can tell the keadilan supporter shouted more passionately, whole heartly than the pathetic cries of liwat by barisan supporters, very soon “altantuya” cries drown “liwat” calls, i could start see najib standing with his face blusing red, next i saw was a few bottles of mineral water being thrown by the other side of the barisan supporters, a bottle flung miss me by a foot, by that time, keadilan supporters were ducking to avoid the missile. one of us, the keadilan supporter were holding a barisan branded mineral water and shouted injustice. as the situation get unruly ,the FRU trurn their sheild on keadilan supporters and najib were quickly whisked to his car by a band of his body guard. the next day i saw najib screaming violence by keadilan supporters which indeed was violence being started by the barisan supporters, we, the keadilan supporters were ducking to avoid those missiles and did not retailiated at all, the MSM media spin their stories to suit the goverment’s liking and blame the opposition for agression and violence. from that day onwards, i was not surpised Najib is being pissed and took his grudge to RPK and Malaysian today the very next day as TMnet blocked the popular site.talk about bias reporting and dirty blame tactics, ihave seen it live and i have seen Najib red faced with “altantuya, altantuya ” chanting.

“…chief operating officer Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi confirmed that the block was ordered by the commission.”
No commission for guessing who ordered the clampdown. A couple of my diehard blog reading friends believe that a famous philanderer who received a hefty sub-COMMISSION was behind the move. I argued that he was too beat to do anything at the moment after the trashing in PP. They reminded me about the lastest article RPK wrote under ‘The Corridors of Power’ titled ‘Swear On This..”. After pondering awhile, I concurred.
Talk about learning anything after March 8th and Permatang Pauh. Even your nicely penned letter to him fell on deaf ears. I believe the last fragment of his luck just ran out.
No one, no matter how ‘magically’ protected they are, can ever defy the barrage of perpetual curse that escape the snarled lips of the outraged. I too believe that there is one very furious spiritual force exacting revenge at the same time while helping all Malaysian head speedily towards a new dawn.

Devolution Not Advancement (DNA) Bill!
Permatang Pauh shows that it is not about DSAI anymore. It is about realising that we as a nation is standing on the cusp of a new identity as a nation of Malaysians. It is about realising that we the citizens of Malaysia want justice to be done. It is about realising that the democratic institutions, and the people we elected into Parliament, do not abuse the powers entrenched in the system to victimise a single person. It is about realising that if the DNA bill gets passed in its present form, it is not just DSAI’s human rights that will be trampled upon, but ANY of our human rights can be trampled upon willy-nilly by the supposedly democratic institutions that were set up to protect us! And this includes the human rights of any UMNO or MCA or MIC MPs or Senators that have run afoul of the elitist few that holds the power to yield the DNA sword!
Think: how incredible it is that the BN Government is so fearful of one man that they are willing to create a new law in an effort to snare him, after failing to get him to submit his DNA! Syed Hamid’s denial that this is so despite it being so painfully obvious, once again makes the BN Government the laughing stock of the international community, lurching Malaysia towards Mugabe-style (mis)leadership!
Yes, this DNA Bill have shown that the Malaysian Parliament has Devolved Not Advanced (“DNA”) as a transparent and accountable democratic institution!

If BN is so afraid of RPK @ MT, then, how we the rakyat will have confidence of BN to govern the country. They have the machinery and people who can counter RPK @ MT but it seems they took the easy way out to shut MT. Why? coz they have dungus in BN who have no brain and intelligence to counter RPK. If they can’t handle him, i wonder how these so called ministers handle in afairs and dealings with other countries.
