a distinctive and highly specialized clade of lizards. They are distinguished by their parrot-like zygodactylous feet, their separately mobile and stereoscopic eyes, their very long, highly modified, and rapidly extrudable tongues, their swaying gait, and the possession by many of a prehensile tail, crests or horns on their distinctively shaped heads, and the synonymous ability to change color. – Wikipedia
Rais on the ISA, in 1995, when he was in the political wilderness : “The ISA does not speak well for the future of the rule of law in Malaysia. In fact, it is the main adversary of the rule of law. The abolition of the ISA is imperative.”
Rais on the ISA in 2009, as Minister of Information and long out of the political wilderness, in an interview on BBC’s Hardtalk : “The mechanism that we have under the ISA, specifically Section 8 and 73, can be challenged through the process of habeas corpus, which system is also prevalent here, and therefore, to say that the ISA is not up to the standard of humanity is wrong”

All of a sudden this usually quiet boy is beginning to make a lot of noise. Maybe a little more than Muhiddin our Deputy PM as well. Why I wonder!! May it be that in his estimation that he is a better man that Muhiddin? Or maybe he thinks Najib may not last and he could take a ride up to be Number 2?

Rais Yatim is a vacillating chamelon with questionable principles. He is one of those who change at the slightestopportunity and sing a different tune according to circumstances favourable to them.
At the rate he is spewing out inconsistent, unwarranted and outright stupid comments about MSM and bloggers having to be pro-BN, it just shows that this chamelon has quickly adapted to arse-licking of the worst kind.
He doesn’t realize it reflects on his upbringing. What message is he giving his family and children?

Huh??? RY had a botox shot, bro? Dang! You could have fooled me once but not after what the dentist did.
His ‘constructive engagement’ with 50 bloggers recently at a malay restaurant consisted mostly of pro-UMNO/BN types according to the Ancient Mariner.
Perhaps, there might be other gatherings at a chinese or indian or iban or sikh or eurasian or DLL diner whereby he can repeat his advice if he’s following UMNO BARU’s operating manual.Yeah, right!
Guess he’s still a little ‘green’ on the new job, not knowing that there is diversity even in cyberspace.
Previously, he couldn’t save ‘Bok House whilst holding a different portfolio thus being consistent in principles would be a tough call.

“The same views have been echoed by no less than the Election Commission (EC). Plus, the EC has openly supported proposals by some BN leaders such as Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and Tan Keng Liang to prevent “unnecessary” elections. These include suggestions for stricter laws, and penalties for elected reps or their parties should an elected representative resign for reasons other than what’s stated in Article 48(1) of the Federal Constitution.”

Don’t expect anything from Dr. Rais Yatim. As far as I am concerned, he is a virtuoso in the art of doublespeak. Just like Mahathir, Rais is the devil who can quote scripture for his own purpose. This chameleon of a lizard has a triple-forked tongue.
When he was in Semangat 46, he wrote a treatise on the evils of ISA. After he rejoined UMNO, he made a 180° U-turn and disowned his own creation. Just a few days back he was quoted as saying that the ISA is humane in its treatment of detainees.
Similarly, when Malaysia lost Pulau Putih to Singapore due to the lazy cut-and-paste method of gathering solid evidences, Dr Rais Yatim was so proud to declare that it was a win-win situation.
Now, he is warning bloggers against abusing the Internet. Have it occurred to him that Utusan Malaysia, TV3, Berita Harian, the New Straits Times and the Star have been spewing lies and distortion and racial divide? He should be respecting the alternative media because the BN could had mercifully spared themselves of the horror of losing their customary 2/3 majority and five states.
Well, Rais continue to believe your own reality distortion and see the BN becoming the all-time best bedtime stories for the history books. The only way that you can stop the Internet is to dismantle the telecommunication network. But then Malaysia will descend into the Stone Age.
Can you imagine someone who prides himself as a pseudo intellectual? So not to worry about creeps like Rais and Nazri, they will be the contributors for the downfall of UMNO.

Haris, howdee to you! 🙂
Some here presuppose that perchance you were away on a thinking spree or on a recharging break or perchance even off somewhere scouring for much-needed medication to soothe your rhis from pesky rhinitis perchance.
Hmm, sitting here and looking at this very 😐 highly iffy-looking and yukky UMNO/BN entity you have posted here, one presupposes that it is perchance only regurgitating out its learned sick spin of civil service pseudo-diplomatic lingo which it perchance swallowed and digested wholesale without any cogitation at all, and which bad regurgitation all here know instantly to avoid like the plague as it is the precisely pesky and highly-spun fork-tongued-speak of 😦 scary wihio Vorta-creatures.
Anyways, can’t help feeling a 😐 teensy weensy measure of sorriness for the poor little green lizard-creature now sitting there in that photo and sadly, being 😦 associated with that other more ugly and deadly one.
Btw, here are some 🙂 cheers to you, Haris, to welcome you back from your sojourn away from your tasty blog here.

The WINNER is always the one who is patient, calm, compose, blameless and pure in mind.Do not let “these” unholy ppl stain you and prevent you from liberation. Leave the “mud” to “them” and you be the “lotus flower” amidst the “mud”. Your struggle will not be forgotten and did not go to waste. We share your pain, struggle, anger and frustrations in the name of justice.May justice & peace prevails.Peace & safety to you & your family.Good luck!

Well, what did you guys expect?? Sheez! So much venom in the commentary here – anyone would think you guys are in a serious state of shock – having expected the BN politicians to be angels!
All Haris has done is to bring to fore what we all already know but do not have the talent to articulate. So we must thank the likes of Haris and RPK who unselfishly oblige the rest of us by helping put our thoughts into words.
Just a thought – can Haris and RPK similarly publish in BM for the benefit of the multitudes, especially in rural Malaysia, who are less familiar with the English Language? I think we need to get the message out to the kampung folk quickly. We have at best – 3 years before the next general election – although my personal view is that we will have one in less than a year. The younger, internet savvy Rakyat ought to be able to print these pieces out and distribute to their folk in the kampung. I think that such an exercise, given time, will bring about the kind of awareness that this country needs.
Come on Haris & RPK – go the extra mile please!

He forgets that his reply in this program goes beyond Malaysian citizen! However, my view here is that one has integrity and is being true to its God-given nature while the other has no integrity and is being true to its God-forsaken nature.
I’ll leave it to you to solve the riddle of which is which.

Pity the wretched soul of Rais Anak Yatim – son of an Orphan – but compare him not to the clever chameleon whose changeability is purely nature’s design for its own optimal efficiency as a species. Chameleons change color to hide from predators and prey alike – and they help keep the insect population down. Whereas the presumably Honorable Rais Yatim imitates the chameleon for only one reason – to feed his addiction to being in the center of power by bodeking the Umno president.
