Malaysianinsider reports that today Jibby “once again conveyed his sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family” of Teoh Beng Hock.
You’ll remember that he had previously despatched one of his officers to the residence of the Teoh family to convey his condolences.

No, no, this is not the home of the Teoh family.
This is our PeeM’s plush office in Putrajaya.
That’s right, our busy PeeM had the bereaveed family brought to his office rather than he go to commiserate with them at their home.
Times, they must be changing, cos we always went to the homes of the grieving to condole.
Never mind, Jibby, real nice of you.
Does give us all a little glimmer of your ‘Towering Malaysian”.
Way to go!

Agree with you 4Rakyat. anak melayu, where have you been? This is Malaysialah, bukan lagi hanya Tanah Melayu, bukan juga hanya Malaya! Remember in 1963, Malaya MERGED with Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak to become Malaysia!!!
People like you anak melayu, keep forgetting that Malaysia is not only made up of anak melayu, but anak cina, anak india, anak iban, anak bidayuh, anak dusun dan banyak banyak jenis anak lagi.
You, anak melayu keep forgetting that it is us anak-anak Sabah dan Sarawak that has been giving your UMNO and their running dogs coalition 50 parliamentary seats so that your BN can still rule the federal government.
What Haris said is exactly what a lot of us anak bangsa malaysia feel so. We go to visit the home of grieving to console and offer our condelence. We do not ask them to go to our office, Prime Minister included! Do you hear that Mr Prime Minister? It shows a lack respect for the family mourning their dead son, killed whilst under the care of the MACC, an agency under the Prime Minister’s Office!!! Some towering Malaysian indeed!

And that meeting summoned in his office not a private one too, but one used as a spin-doctored/public relations photo opportunity.
So…harsh perhaps, but fair dues from you to NAR on this.
The one really irksome thing about life there that gets me everytime is the weird expectation people have that if you have some wealth or an eduactional degree or two(irrespective of whether you have the subsequent competence to show for it or not) or a label/title of some sort, then “ordinary” peasants/minions are automatically and immediately expected to come over and fall at your feet and kow-tow to you in deference, even if you have not done one single worthwhile act in your whole life to earn anyone’s respect let alone deference.
This ass/feet-kissing, kow-towing in deference offer-acceptance mutual action between fellow human beings is also bizarrely done (without thinking one presumes) at times even inside God’s holy places where one would have thought that the only one who deserved any thought or deference at all would be Almighty God and not some puny mortal or worse, some vaingloriously puffed-up human being who believd the sun shone out of his/her a***.
er…..sorry for digressing in somewhat of a tirade from para 3 to here. Smile.

PR in a bad taste.
Teoh’s parents should have refused the meet until a fair and resolute RCI can be established to find the cause of their son’s death.
no one should trust a person who had to vilify his own wife to promote his image.
HE WHO HIDES USUALLY IS HIDING SOMETHING.
Hope people are not to naive to assume the meet meant the no.1 idiot is exonerated in Teoh’s murder.

The initial postmortem report revealed that Teoh Beng Hock was murdered by MACC.
(1) He was pronouced dead at around 8 to 9 am. But MACC claimed they only heard a big sound at 1.30 pm and then found his body.
(2) His handphone is not with his body. Teoh was either still under the custody of MACC or someone removed the phone from his dead body.
(3) The latch of window in leval 14 where MACC office is located found at the floor of level 5.
(4) The body is not facing down unlike normal suicide from tall building. This pointed to he was already dead when he was falling down.
(5) The blood stain is abnormal little. This is another sign to show that he already dead before falling down.
(6) His pants were torn. His pants incidentally hooked to window latch before his body was forced out.
(7) The timber door at MACC main entrance was shut down from 1.15 to 1.50 pm. This 45 minutes duration is mostly the body was pushed out.
From these initial findings, my conclusion is he was murdered inside the office at 8 – 9 am before his dead body was threw out from level 14 at 1.30 pm.

That’s exactly the sort of thing an arrogant brat would do. Poor little filthy rich thoroughly bi-polar pink-lipped pussy-whipped crime minister. Isn’t it wicked enough that your MACC goons killed Mr & Mrs Teoh’s clean-cut 30-year-old son (and father-to-be) on the eve of his marriage… must you humiliate the bereaved family by browbeating them into your overbearing presence? Do you realize what effect the aura of earthly power permeating the PM’s office has on ordinary folk? Certainly not a consolatory or heartwarming environment for the parents of the man your agents brutalized to death. Your promises are empty, as they have always been, since the problems you vow to resolve mostly center around YOU… and that rapidly rotting racist party you now lead!

But this is important, too. Attitude is what colours our behaviour. This is sheer arrogance and inconsideration on the premier’s part. Subjecting the grieving to an unfamiliar environment of bureaucratic protocols. Haris was right to point out this out. Contrast this with Najib’s turn padang adventures when it suited his PR.

One consolation. For the first time, A Prime Minister is meeting the family of a victim of a murder in detention. What ever you want to say about Najib, he beats all the rest hands down on this. With Mahathir, a report on death and cruelty resulted in Irene Fernandez being charged for God knows what now. Badawi never lifted a finger over Kugan. Instead that sleepy head sent his goons with their helicopter and FRU to frighten off mourners.
Najib would have done better going to the family. Wonder if at the very least he had sent them his limousine!!

And it all smacks of nothing less than, has been already pointed out, a clever public relations stunt… so PUBLICLY done to soften the blow.
You are right Haris…adding insult to injury, the visit of the grieving parents to Putrajaya, instead of the other way around.
Poor Mrs. TEOH….you did not even have a woman in your presence to embrace and console you at a time when you felt utmost sorrow as a Mother.
What thoughts crossed your mind at the time you bowed down in sorrow to hold your face in your hand?
No amount of soft soaping can assuage, especially a Mother’s grief, especially when the grief first takes the form of a shock and then sinks deep down to wound and to mark for life.
It is not enyone’s heart but a Mother’s heart that has been singed wounded and broken to bits. By any standards that will remain the the government’s greatest sin.

Harris,
The body language of the Peeeee M in all the pictures taken tells you how sincere he is. You cannot hide that. I have seen all the pictures published by the MSM and even Malaysiakini. There is no sincerity. It would have shown if they had being met at the home in Malacca.

Come on lah,
Tak buat you orang kata tak betul. Buat you kata salah.

Why PM took so long to visit family of the deceased? Why not wait till Teoh’s death anniversary before visiting the family? This must be the result of lots of argument, discussion and advice by the UMNO goons behind closed doors and after finally agreeing to a “figure” to be paid as “compensation” to the family of the deceased, aimed at “plastering” their mouths on the matter! And why only after the establishment of the CORONER’S COURT! Very, very fishy man!

First of all, Najib does not have the obligation to visit TBH’s family.
With due respect to TBH’s family, Tell me why he has to be at the funeral ?
To show government is innocent?
I know a lot of oppositions representatives were there.
TBH death is certainly at the centre of political scandal , so he has ministers to handle the situation and visit if necessary. Why appoint many ministers if he has to perform their job? Plus, what about funeral of other “sudden / mysterious death”. Does Najib have to attend? By protocol, there is no need, unless the dead person is someone personally close.
Second, this visit was the family’s request. It’s an appeal to the PM to make sure the investigation / inquest would bring justice to TBH death. In this case he has to make time if requested by the TBH family due to the political situation, but to go to the funeral is not an obligation for the PM. Unless he too wants show the world how sympathetic he was – but then, he might end up attending too many funerals instead of running the country.
Now, TBH’s family certainly knew something about the young idealistic young man and if the family believe the fed government has something to do with TBH death, certainly the image of the photo scene above would be different.
Otherwise, TBH family would have not bothered to see Najib and seek Karpal’s services to really nail the bugger.
Please put some sense guys.

wow!!
a visit to the PeeM’s office!!!
what does he think he is??
i’ve heard of doctors playing god but this is propostrous!
what was it that he was trying to convey to this “much publicised event”?
was it:
a)he’s REALLY “sorry” over the events that happened.
b)he’s REALLy “sorry” about the series of events that are soon to follow?
or
c)just plain arrogance that he had to have them visit ‘HIM’ instead?
btw,
whats wrong mr. Pee M?
TBH house too “low class” for “esteemed” people like you and your fellow “venerable” colleagues sitting comfortably on your arses in your plush offices or are the oppositions party js to plain “dirt6y” to be graced by your pressence?
