Dear Friends of PR, Keep up the struggle. Keep it going. We MUST bring back the glory of attaining MERDEKA by fighting this battle with the Goliath of Corruption. Yes, we now have reached that junction of Malaysia’s history where we need to raise global awareness about the atrocities that are affecting every ordinary citizen.I may be thousands of KM away; but like all other peace loving and hope inspired Malaysians I send you my prayers.

wtf is pakatan leaders doing in london??? the voters that need pakatan’s CONVERSION are right here in our own backyards!!
I) ORANG ASLI
II) WARGA KAMPUNG
III) FENCE-SITTERS OF UMNO MEMBERS
IV) IGNORANT VOTERS WHO ARE NOT SO WELL-INFORMED.
all these are in our own country.
VOTERS VOTERS VOTERS. and here u guys r doing the class thingy with london dates.
more glamour there then walkabouts in the kampungs or hutans talking to the warga kampungs and orang asli eh?? no pressmen here right?? hot and humid here right??
london much cooler and much more ‘stylish’ is it? can wear fashionable clothings and mingle with “english speaking” crowds eh? cakap bahasa orang putih eh…? better than speaking in bahasa to ‘uncultured’ orang asli in the heat and humidity of the inner jungle / country-side eh?
FCUK! sometimes i wonder if u guys are serious in KUBURKAN UMNO BARU and take over putrajaya.

4RAKYAT,

my hero abang haris 🙂
u’d get perhaps 50 additional voters from those who are still eligible to vote. that is if they come back to vote.
umno baru goes to a kampung, poison their minds a bit in a kenduri, throw them some crumbs, and they leave the place with perhaps 500 to 1000 votes in the pocket.
u do the math. dont tell me it is not a ‘syok sendiri’ trip. your multi-pronged approach, i think does not describe this exercise. i’ll give u examples of multi-pronged approach (perhaps in order of priority):-
i) register new voters. u know how the ec is panicky about this. then surely u know we’re hitting the right buttons.
ii) get pkr and pas malays (and get those cina-man from dap to come along. ask them to stop playing mahjong for a week or two. take turns to follow pks/pas malay leaders). then HIT THE KAMPUNG TRAILS. every week. every f-king week until ge13. like i said, i am presuming umno baru does not declare darurat in the meantime.
iii) stop or minimize making press statements or speeches in functions in english unless there are havy presence of international media. otherwise, USE BAHASA. this is our f-king national language. pak ali from hulu selangor who has ventured out of that ulu2 kampung in hulu selangor perhaps 2 times in his entire life. dont change mode like that botak multi-ministry minister. USE BAHASA. ask klang mp and teresa kok and tan kok wai and all those cina-man to speak more in bahasa.
u speak in a language that your CUSTOMER feels comfortable in. get it??? not the other way round.
iv) get more volunteers locally to spare a bit of their ‘precious’ free time to help out a bit, however bit, in their local pakatan reps or friendly ngos offices. like your sabm functions, that majestic location :-), get them to drop by. if they dont support (dont just talk talk talk lah, must have some action), who will support? are they willing to risk the future of their children in the loving arms of evil umno baru?
v) readers here and elsewhere (zorro’s, nat’s etc…) must DO something to help. $$$, spare time, volunteers etc… please lah everybody, DO something lah.
vi)…
vii)…
ix) international attention. truth is, with examples of palestine, burma etc…. i learn that however much well-intentioned the international friends are, no one can help us more than our own local people (VOTERS VOTERS VOTERS). these international orgs or pressure groups can only WRITE, give STRONG SPEECHES etc… it’s not like they can invade malaysia and kick umno baru out. ONLY THE VOTERS can. the urban malaysians are pretty much in pakatan’s pockets. now, DO THE CONVERSION of umno blind fans. they are blind. OPEN THEIR EYES! most of them do not read blogs. tell them pkfz, tell them limbang fiasco and the likes – all these do not mean much to them. what these simple-minded and innocent malay folks know is that lim kit siang looks like a communist, and what some chinese ah peks are still afraid is the implementation of ‘chopping hands’ law. we know it as part of hudud, they dont. if hudud is implemented, najis and moohidin will be without hands. we all know that. these simple folks do not.
humbly, this is my opinion for the day 🙂
good luck to us all. i have attended your sabm functions. i have bought t-shirts. i have bought cd’s by meor (is it “meor”?) in short, i did a bit and will continue doing. i’m sure they are a lot of pakatan supporters who has done so so so much more. by my greatest wish is to see/know that 100% of those who posted ‘gung-ho’ comments here and in zorro’s, nat’s blogs have also done something other than posting ‘boring’ comments. they are all like parrots.
when the time comes for them to attend (show support lah) pakatan or ngo’s functions, these people’d be in 1utama shopping. no time to attend even 10 minutes. no time. they have time to talk cock, no time to lift a finger to help.
how to win the war against umno baru’s mighty machineries?? the ultimate power is people power. no sultans, no govts can withstand people power. but what have we here? talkers. not many doers.
i’m pressing the submit comment button without checking for mistakes in this posting. sorry sir. and thank u sir.
p/s: your bahasa is the ‘after the tsunami’ does the job. this is a good example to set. use bahasa.

Don’t forget the many, many Malaysians and ex-Malaysians in Australia. Also, NZ, Canada, USA etc.
Dear 4Rakyat: Overseas Chinese played an important role in ending the Ching Dynasty rule in 1911.
My prediction is that Overseas Malaysians and ex-Malaysians will also play an important role in ending the corrupt BN (mis)rule in Malaysia.

dear kai lit
i) so, which is more cost-effective? spending $$$$ on overseas ‘recruitment’ or getting to know your (neglected) fellow malaysians?
ii) one gang is local. if they really want to vote 4 u, you just drive them there to the local polling stations. nowadays, u want to get outstation voters to come back to vote also so hard lah. cannot blame them also. how to take leave? where got enough willpower? this also so difficult to achieve and now we are chasing oversea malaysians to come back to vote?? if they dont come back to vote, even if 10,000 people attend your london ‘syok-sendiri’ ceramah also no point lah.
ii) if u r comfortably settled in london for the past so many years. suddenly this hero of yours (zaid ibrahim) comes to you in london, asking u to spend $$$$$$ to fly back to malaysia and cast ONE vote, u think feasible ah??? ok, so u say there are many oversea malaysians out there? how many percentage are even REGISTERED as voters? how much is needed to help register one oversea voter? so u ask them to drive to the nearest malaysian embassy to register? and this and that and this and that…. unless umno baru murdered that fella’s mother or father or brother or sister lah. if not, u think that fella gonna go thru all these trouble just to REGISTER then CAST A VOTE? just that one vote? multiply by how many oversea malaysians? u do the math.
i am not saying oversea malaysians are not important in the whole scheme of things but i am just saying this exercise is not even 3% of the total overall importance compared to say, u or me, going into the kampungs or new village or hutan pendalaman etc… to say hello to these marginalised and ‘DIPERBODOHKAN’ people. they dont know us (yet). if they do, they’d listen. not that they’d immediately buy what u or me has to say but at least that’s a start. but u see, there is NO GLAMOUR in doing that. it’s frigging hot and humid there. no fanfare. no pressmen. no syok. but YET we all know that has to be done. it’s either they vote for pakatan or they vote for umno baru. umno baru has $$$$$ to burn. pakatan has not much $$$$$$$$. so in the face of such disadvantages, what do we do?
we fly off to london to the spring cool climate now to organise ‘talks’ to an audience of say 100 or 200? sure, u’d say these london folks can transmit via net pakatan messages. but u see, u and me, the so-called urban net-savvy fellas can do that too. so, what’s the point??? just to let our hero show face or to perform in his 50-city one-man mega-super-star concert? come on….
how many pak ali and mak minah do we mingle with on a regular basis (if u r not malay).
how many uncle rajoos and auntie leelas we mingle with on a regular basis (if u r not indian).
and how many ah pek and ah soh we mingle with on a regular basis (if u r not chinese).
need i go on?
that’s the point.
ok lah, tired already lah. but i think u r doing your part too. i hope it’s more than just writing here and there, and checking replies to your posted messages (bcos it is quite syok to see replies to your own postings right?) i hope u do more than that. DO, i suggest. not just TALK.
good luck. u know i mean no malice. there’s no ego involved. u can hentam me balik, i dont care. if u say i make sense also i dont care. i just hope that u and me and the rest of us DO something in our precious spare time to contribute a bit to THE CAUSE (which i think is SELAMATKAN MALAYSIA).
i am just one mere VOTE out of those MILLIONS that we need to CONVERT to PAKATAN’S side.

Hey Mr. 4RAKYAT….you are quite breezy with the 4-letter word I see.
They use it a lot in London too.
What are you fussing about…? As Haris says, this is a good approach for all our malaysian ‘cats’ out there who need the right message before GE13, for them to decide to come home. We need to bell them first, don’t you understand.
And we have two good men and true, Zaid Ibrahim and the daring elusive RPK to do the job, to inform.
Nothing to do with ‘class’….you see it the wrong way.
Have some spirit lah, Mr, 4Rakyat?

whatever lah! 🙂
i suppose most of them overseas malaysian read blogs too. in fact, i think the percentage of them reading haris+gang’s blogs are higher than the pakciks/makciks in malaysia. that’s my point or my argument.
i still stand by my claim that it’s more important for leaders like zaid and saifuddin and LIM KIT SIANG and TERESA KOK et al to go into the kampungs. every week. teresa is part of the govt now. she has the EXCUSE to visit kampungs. and charles santiago. and tan kok wai. and all those other non-malay pakatan leaders.
there’re gold there to be mined.
good luck. in the meantime, i will continue to spare a ringgit or two to THE CAUSE and try to attend pakatan organised functions.

Hi 4rakyat
Your heart is in the right place.
But to win, one needs to keep one’s emotions in check and to use superior strategy/intelligence.
Many of us are contributing to the popular movement to bring about a better Malaysia. People should contribute in the areas where they are the most effective e.g. those who write well can use blogs; those who are charismatic speakers can rouse the masses from propaganda-lulled slumber; those who have the finances can contribute money; intellectuals and thinkers can contribute through
writings. coming up with new ideas, giving advice to policy-makers.
So, 4rakyat, you can consider what you are best or most effective at and contribute accordingly.
And remember, never underestimate the power of the pen. Think about how French intellectuals such as Voltaire, Rousseau etc contributed to the eventual demise of the Ancien Regime in France. As a recent example, I feel that Barry Wain’s recent book has
undermined Dr M’s credibility and so-called achievements much more effectively than many other anti-M activists.
For social movements to succeed, you need intellectuals-activists leading and mobilising the middle classes and the lower classes. You need charismatic leaders (Anwar Ibrahim, Lee Kuan Yew) assisted by able organisers (who??, Toh Chin Chye).
All of us can contribute – but we contribute where we are most effective and productive.
