How much damage has the imbroglio of the disciplinary action taken by PKR HQ against Jeffrey’s ‘dirty dozen’ caused to Anwar’s standing vis-a-vis the PKR grassroots in Sabah?
Anwar is due to find out soon, I am told.
Well, both Anwar and Azmin.
They both head out to Sabah tomorrow.
Anwar campaigning for Azmin already?
First stop : Tuaran.
Seems that Ansari, the current Tuaran division head and Anwar’s chosen Muslim poster boy, faces an uphill task in the coming party elections to retain this post. He’s being challenged by Edward Linggu, a known Jeffrey man.
Lesson number 1 waiting for Anwar, I am told.
On Malaysia Day, both Anwar and Azmin head out to Keningau.
Jeffery Kitingan territory.
Both Anwar and Azmin can expect the best of Sabah hospitality, I’m informed.
The calm before the storm?
Anwar heads back to Semenanjung whilst Azmin then takes his campaign to Sarawak.
I am reminded of the poser to me by the Sarawak PKR man in Kota Kinabalu, that I alluded to in my ‘…who will now kick UMNO out of Anwar?’ post.
“Go and ask Anwar if he will deny that his plan is to keep the Dayaks divided so that the Muslims will continue to rule in Sarawak. How different, then, is PKR from UMNO?”

Anwar never had real leadership beyond just standing in the kampung and university grounds to fight against establishment. His political height has always been his 17 years Mahathir allowed him in BN’s Govt. Anwar must reinvent himself, but i doubt it with such weak material in PKR.

If Anwar is playing the religious card and getting his “machais” voted in, then, PKR is as good as dead!
There is little difference between UMNO and PKR…the devil and the deep blue sea.

If Anwar is hellbent on NOT reading the writing on the wall that to lead Pakatan Rakyat to Putrajaya, he has to STOP being a Muslim UMNOputra, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, he can say goodbye to all the non-Muslim supporters.
Sabahans and Sarawakians deserve a better deal. All these while they have been treated very shabily by the Semenanjung UMNOputras. If it is Anwar’s agenda to continue to be another colonial master, please be brave enough to say it to the Sabahans and Sarawakians.
Let them decide whether they want the UMNOputra Azmin Ali as their Deputy President of PKR. Let them decide their future as well as their future of being subservient, servile slaves of the neo-colonialist masters from Semenanjung.
Azmin Ali is already a paraiah politician where the PKR non-Malay supporters are concernced. He is a LIABILITY. He is a UMNO plant. He must be sacrificed in the larger interest of PAKATAN RAKYAT and the aspirations of the rakyat.
If Anwar cannot read the writing on the wall, let the Sabahans and Sarawakians give him a rousing fireworks display and vent their anger.

There is a way to straighten out Anwar and his UMNO-leopard skin. Get PR to choose an alternative leader. Nizar of PAS is by far the most eligible choice. My sources in PAS tell me that even PAS are not happy to have Anwar as a PM, but they don’t want to rock the boat as it will be too messy and complicated. PAS wants a full PM and Anwar is not considered ‘full’ to them. Nizar unfortunately is not that senior enough within PAS. Hadi Awang is considered too ultra by the non Malays and TGNA is too old. All these factors play into Anwar’s hands deliciously not to mention he has ‘pukau’ TGNA into his pocket.UMNO and BN is doomed in the next GE (if it is conducted fairly ). Our (as in the power to the people) best hope is if Anwar goes to jail and rots there.

I rather keep an open mind rather than pass a judgement. There many non-malay leaders in PKR too. I don’t think they are blind or stupid. Also there’s Nurul whom I think has great potential. Why does it mean choosing Malay leader is bad if we want to believe in Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia? Then SABM is no different from the pretentious 1 Malaysia. So if Malaysia is majority Muslim then the leader has to be Muslim? Where does it say in the Constitution?
I truly appreciate your articles as you are passionate about a better Malaysia. Having said that let’s keep them in check as we need them kick BN out.

What are Anwar’s strengths and accomplishments, other than being charismatic and a good speaker? I know we have no choice but it would be good to know.

The writing is on the wall. Anwar and Azmin might cause a split in PKR, if they continue to pursue racial and religious line line in the pursuit of power. No way will the majority accept this. Anwar should let the people of Sabah and Sarawak decide whom they want as their leader instead of manipulating the Dayaks and Kadazans. If indeed he is behind attempts to place only Muslims as leaders, he has lost the cause and my vote.

bro haris,
i,m confuse here why other people want to support azmin, you bantai (especially anwar) but when jefrey endorsed some person for seat, you senyap ; tak ckap ape. jefrey seem to endorse zaid ok pula; you tak condem langsung..
its look like you do double standard here..
i,m neutral here.. i see both parties argument. you seem to be part of jefrey and zaid here.. its look you are not neutral too bro.. sorry..
and when read article about PBS; its also look like the is probability that jefrey would go back to PBS if his bro give him presidency. and that time PKR DEAD bro..and i think that is why anwar soo worried abotu jefrey. what ur opinion.
mz,
If Anwar knows something absolutely negative about Jeffrey, he should tell.
After all, Jeffrey does appear to have the support of the majority of the PKR Sabah division leaders. This should hold sway, unless Anwar knows something about Jeffrey that the rest do not. That’s why Anwar should speak up.
Has Jeffrey endorsed Zaid?

I go with Simple Man argument anytime over yours, H Ibrahim. Now is NOT the time to rock PKR boat, even if there is collateral damage of all forms. Anwar and his direction is here to stay. Your sarcasm and criticism is not going to help PKR.
And who are you to criticise PKR the way you have been doing lately? Why dont you stand for election as an independent, put your money where your mouth is.

i really wish for 2 things that might happen in sabah: –
1. ronnie charles klassen must go. he does not have the temperament befitting a good leader.
2. ansari abdullah must also go. he is not even a leader, an opportunist.
i wish them no luck at all.

Better delay when the Opposition comes to power in Malaysia than to have a half-rotten opposition that later becomes the 2nd incarnation of a 100% rotten govt that will stay on for the next few decades.
If Zaid Ibrahim loses, I am done with PKR. DAP and PAS will still get my vote in the next election, but PKR will get NADA, zilch, TELUR VOTES!!
