By now, you would all have read the various news reports and seen the video clips in cyberspace of the disruption of the ABU ceramah in Klang 2 nights ago.
Just a few things I want to say.
First, Krishnan, the young man who was beaten and assaulted, has had a CT-scan done, is still hospitalised and a second scan is expected to be done to ensure that he has not sustained any serious internal injuries.
Second, I want to pay tribute to the tremendous restraint demonstrated by the folk from Hindraf who were present that night in the face of the aggression on the part of the UMNO mob, coupled with the racial slurs that were plainly made to provoke a retaliation.
Gandhi would have been proud of you guys.
Now to PDRM.
FreeMalaysiaToday reports that Selangor police chief Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah denied that there were any attacks at the ceramah that night.
FMT reports, however, that Shah Alam OCPD Zahedi Ayob ‘confirmed there was “shouting and pushing” at the ceramah but everything calmed down after the arrival of the police’.
Zahedi, however, seems to blame the whole incident on the ABU ceramah being held in a Malay area.
Now, when the police finally arrived after the mob have left the ceramah hall, I pointed out one of the mobsters who was still there to the uniformed police officers.
Later, this individual was seen leaning against the squad car and chatting with the uniformed officers.
Inquiries later revealed that he was a plain clothes police officer.
SB.
Some of the local residents, PAS members, then assured the organisers that they would make sure there was no repeat of the mob barging into the hall, and that we should proceed with our ceramah.
We were making ready to proceed when 2 special branch officers asked to speak to us.
Sambulingam and I, in the hearing of many others, were asked by the officers to call of the ceramah so as to allow the tensed situation outside to ease.
I repeatedly asked him if we were to undrstand from this request and advise that PDRM were unable to deal with the mob so as to allow a legitimate ceramah to proceed in the hall.
The officer just kept repeating himself : please call off the ceramah to ease the tension outside.
My sense by then was that there was collusion between the mobsters and the police.
There was a quick discussion between the several ABU leaders.
We had not provided adequate security to ensure the safety of those attending to listen to the ceramah.
We would call it off to ensure the safety of the packcik and makcik in the hall.
Rest assured, we will be well prepared for any lawlessness at our forthcoming ceramah.
From any quarters.

The video recording of the incident clearly shows that there is an offence of unlawful assembly and rioting.
If the police say it is not, is there not a procedure under the CPC to lay a complaint before the Magistrate and let the Magistrate direct the police to investigate.

Our FRU and PDRM are capable of stopping 50,000 rakyats from handling a demand for clean and fair election petition to Agung, I have confident they are capable of stopping these aggressive gangsters carrying weapons who endanger the safety of public. Let’s call our FRU and PDRM to protect the innocent and peaceful loving rakyats. That is exactly their duty as FRU and PDRM of Malaysia, to protect the innocent and peaceful loving citizens. It will be a shame if they cannot stop such a small bunch of gangsters.

Polis Raja di Malaysia can only control the crowd when it’s attended by peaceful rakyat. They can’t even catch a snatch thief, house robbers, runaway maids! U seriously think these bunch trained by trainers under Mahathir’s time can do real policing?? Let me tell u guys, these bunch are no better than Rela members, only equipped with a gun!!

En Rafee,
I am a 58 year old retiree. Having lived in Malaysia for the so long I have found a waste of time to make police reports. To add to this I was an ex Security Manager in a 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur and liaised with the Tourist Police when incidents occurred. You know what was the 1st question the IO would ask ” Ada free makan kah” That the PDRM for you
Thank you

Its not a waste of time. If every witness makes a statement it counts to strengthen case and pressure for police to investigate. If Krishnan was your son you would want every witness to come forward wouldnt you?

Looks like the PDRM has learned better than their K9 unit to obey their political masters without a thought. The main criteria in the PDRM for promotion is to show the UMNOputras how rabid, ferocious, aggressive and dimwitted they are at handling law and order in the country. Every high ranking officers seem to have become attack dobermans, foaming and frothing at the sight of anyone who they think is a threat to their masters.
How sad the once highly respected PDRM has become such a whorehouse, selling their allegieance for power, rank and corruption.
ABU and anyone associated with it, for eg. Hindraf, has become the convenient target for the SB police mongrels. Be well prepared especially with video, etc to show to the whole world what a sorry state of affairs the PDRM has become because the MSM and the PDRM would deny and put their blame on others.
Pakatan Rakyat should have a record of all the corrupted officers who behave worse than mangy mongrels, charge them and throw these K9s in jail where they belong. All irrespective of position should be hauled up from the PIG to the lowest ranking SB dickhead.
Please do not be intimidated by these official thugs of the UMNO/BN.

I read that back in the 1960s, a large number of FRU were recruited from the ranks of Chinese street gangs. When it comes to muscle power, we inevitably draw upon the warrior spirit – which can easily be manipulated to defensive or offensive purposes. Men who are addicted to adrenaline and run on testosterone often end up joining the army or police where they get paid to be aggressive and warlike. The same men, under benign leadership, will also happily perform heroic work – such as rescuing people from earthquake rubble or mudslides, or even helping little old ladies retrieve their pussycats from tree branches. My point is: let’s not waste energy getting pissed off at these Umno louts, rempits and samseng – whether or not they are in uniform. Their top-ranking bosses are the ones doing the mind-control and programming. The foot soldiers “mengikut perintah sahaja.” In short: people like Najib, Hishammuddin, Muhyiddin, Zahid Hamidi, and Khairy must go. Mahathir is no longer an elected minister, so we can only let the weight of his own negative karma take care of him.
Thanks, Haris, for this elucidation and congratulations to Hindraf for courage, perseverance and superhuman restraint.

Dear En. Ibrahim, I have seen the you tube visuals of these mobs attack on the ABU ceramah and have decided on my own volition to spread it to my like-minded and other friends of different persuasions. Let us make these visual clips go viral. Apologies for spreading the link without your permission.
On the other hand, the mob (irrespective if they are not from the locale) should be brought to their realisation that public holds sway over their actions. HOW? We should target where it is most painful – Their Pockets – I repeat lest anyone misunderstand/misconstrue that I am advocating violence. No, we have to target their pockets-earning.
Every one of this mob/miscreant would be wage/fee/income earner. Boycott/Hartal their gerai/warung/shops – even their majikan’s business – then they would know the power of rakyat when their anak bini gets famished.
Surely it would be easy to identify these miscreants places of work/business.

No need ceramah anymore. This incident should be THE very basis of ABU.
A government that feeds on blatant corruption, thievery and plunder of the national coffers and whose actions are defended by thuggery, must be flushed down the sewage.

How undercover work has changed from the humble chendol/rojak seller/construction labourers to the provocative samseng work…no clothing allowance given this time for choice of clothing in this exercise is freestyle!
BTW, have those construction “lads” finished that never-ending renovation works on the house up the road from the SABM house in D’sara? Foreman has the cleanest fingernails on the block I thought!
Kudos to the level headedness shown and the swift taping for posterity!
Hope the injured lad recovers fully!

If a SB officer was seen within the mob then a police report need to be made against the police themselves also. Not that any investigations are going to be carried out on themselves but at the very least it is registered that we are aware of who is also behind the mob. The reason the mob targeted the Indians in the forum as they wanted to create a sense of disunity among the ABU coalition using race as a factor as always. To hinder this the leaders of the PR must come out with a strong statement against this blatant racist attack, especially PAS as Krishnan it seems is a PAS supporters club member. So far only BERSIH and the overwhelming public have come out with an official statement and also via comments in blogs, criticizing the mob.PR leaders it seems are as usual worried of losing their Muslim votes I guess. Incidentally the mob that attacked the forum has done ABU a lot of help in view of publicity as the video has hit more than 18k views on MKTV.

This is to Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah and the rest of PDRM.
When your time comes and the talqin is recited over your body, for indeed your time will surely come, you ought to know if the following will apply to you:
“The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a Penalty grievous.”… Surah 4( An-Nisa) : Verse 135
And to Hishamuddin aka Keris Hishamuddin, do not for a moment think you are absolved from responsibility in the “eyes”of the Almighty for what your underlings do.

Perhaps meeting with aggression with more aggression, perhaps a better approach would be the Ghandi’s peaceful resistance. It would not do to have fistfights and worst as that may lend an excuse for declaration of emergency and suspension of elections thus missing that chance to displace UMNO/BN from Putrajaya.

When I watched the video taken by Kumaran http://bit.ly/z1OFeg, I saw the following sequence of events…
1. The mob came in made a lot of threatening noises, threw things around, made lots of taunting statements and were about to leave.
2. Some of the Hindraf leaders called for patience and asked the members to keep quiet and go inside.
3. As the mob was leaving, one of the Hindraf guys shouted “Peegiraaa!” (3:40) and that caused them to run amok.
If Hindraf want to sacrifice themselves to gain sympathy, then they have succeeded. But if they want to accomplish more, they need to exercise some self-discipline. Bravado is a show of ego. Battles and wars are won by a show of intelligent strategy.

Honestly the real problem with what those goons are doing is that IT ABSOLUTELY MAKE NO SENSE.. Really they are not acts of cowardly or evil. They are the ACT OF DUMB & DUMBER who don’t know know they are.
It make sense to try and stop your opponent with intimidation if you plan to do it systematically AND comprehensively. They have been done before by fascist, communists etc – on their rise to power. You don’t do them when you are on the retreat, when you are losing the battle. Simply because it has little effect other than to temporarily disrupt and it takes too much resources to do, precious resources needed to defend the main effort whatever that is for UMNO/BN.
In other words, the real reasons why these goons are doing what they are doing is because their National leaders or even state level leaders have no clue what they are doing and these ranks and file, feeling desperate and being the neanderthal that they are simply don’t know what else to do and so their limited mental ability tells them to do the dumb and dumber.
