Why the need to be so harsh? Isn’t the fine of RM1000 enough? Why need to send him to jail? Is it done purposely to destroy his future? EVEN A RAPIST WAS NOT JAILED BECAUSE OF HIS PURPORTED “GOOD FUTURE”.

abdullah37,
It is part of the tactic to put fear in a young man and discourage others from speaking out.
Cutting down potential future leaders will make the rakyat easier to control.

Any verdict more humane, logical and to the true spirit of justice not only needs to be done but it also needs to be seen to be done IS SORELY LACKING in lackeys in the judiciary who are only eager to carry the balls of the executive and his minions. They only want to be noticed for their servile prowess in order to move up the ladder of promotion.
The verdict smacks of intimidation and the insidious attempt at muzzling all future student leaders and activists.
So long as the PDRM, MACC and the JUDICIARY behave like eunuchs, there is little hope for Malaysians to compete with the other progressive nations of the world. So long as murderers and leaders aka Robert Mugabe and his ilk has a say in the running of the government, we can be assured Malaysia would inexorably slide down into the dirty gutter of third world politics.
