The people of Shah Alam showed one racist the toilet bowl, where he rightly belongs.
It’s a pity we did not have the time to launch a ‘We don’t want a racist’ initiative in Gombak.
We might have been able to flush another racist into the sewer.
We had a damn good rally in Kelana Jaya the other night, that ought to give Najib an idea of things to come his way soon.
Now hear this, Pakatan.
I want Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as MB.
Appoint Azmin and I will do my best to get a protest rally going outside the SUK building in Shah Alam.

Hi everyone,
Why shouldn’t Khalid Ibrahim be reappointed as MB of Selangor?
Khalid Ibrahim has just led PR to win a 2/3 majority in Selangor, a very clear endorsement of his capability and good governance by Selangorians, a clearcut referendum on his effective past 5 years of leading Selangor, this despite the non-cooperation, sabbotage and obstacles placed by BN in his first term as MB!!
KI must be given another 5 years to further build on his first 5 years of stabilising and building up Selangor in all respects! Despite the PM taking personal charge as Selangor BN Chairman and declaring to win Selangor “at all costs”, KI has not only defended PR against the onslaught of PM and BN, but to increase PR’s majority from winning 36 seats in 2008 to 44 seats in 2013!

Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is THE man for the job. He has done a marvelous job as MB and has proven that Pakatan Rakyat has the ability and the human resources to administer Selangor well, far better than what the corrupted Toyo character did.
Azmin Ali is not a team player. He still has the UMNO dna in him which he finds it difficult to discard. Anyway when has a leopard shed its colours? Selangor needs an able administrator, not an empty vessel like Azmin Ali. It was Azmin Ali who bungled the PKR general elections. He was the root cause why Pakatan Rakyat especially PKR did not do well in Sabah. He just cannot stand any other person who is better than him. Azmin Ali’s dictatorial approach in choosing the PKR candidates for the 13th GE and his non-compromising attitude towards PAS, DAP and even PSM cost Pakatan Rakyat a few seats.
It would be prudent for Pakatan Rakyat to keep a close watch and tab on him from now onwards because he is a sore loser. He, like the BTN Hasan Ali, would be hell bent on undermining the MB to show his supporters that he is the best man for the job.
Congratulations to MB Khalid. Hope you would helm Selangor to greater heights and bring about a lot of people centric changes/measures in line with your speeches at PR ceramahs.

Some say that Azmin Ali should be the MB because he is shrewd and tactful, which makes him a more feared adversary to BN than Khalid Ibrahim.
Then again, DAP and PAS aren’t fond of Azmin Ali. They are more comfortable with Khalid Ibrahim. Personally, I would vote back Khalid Ibrahim instead because he is by far more Democratic than Azmin Ali and a gentleman too.
Right now, Azmin Ali says that he’s not going to quit PKR and he has no desire to become MB. He also calls for consensus regarding with the MB post, then let’s us all help him with that by saying we all support Khalid Ibrahim to stay as MB.
Oh by the way, Azmin Ali should have learn something from the demises of those 2 infamous frogs…

Concensus dari siapa? PAS 15 seats, DAP 15 seats and PKR 14 seats. Even if PKR unanimously nominate Azmin Ali as the MB, PAS and DAP may not accept it as they must be able to work with someone they are comfortable with and with a proven track record. Then what will Azmin Ali do? If unable to get the endorsement of PAS and DAP, then quite PKR as a frog and bring along several frogs with him? Then rejoin UMNO with the others and enrich themselves? Remember, CONCENSUS is NOT only within PKR but also amongst the Pakatan Rakyat partners. Don’t manipulate the word CONCENSUS.

Once the sultan gets the name you cannot do anything so work fast.
Azmin was criticizing Khalid openly There are some PKR division chiefs who do not want Khalid. Some of them were standing behind Azmin at the PC. Some have made their preferences known in an article on FMT. Zuraida with her big mouth on a video which has gone viral criticizing others -saying its a matter for PKR did not help matters either. It made many people angry.
Maybe Khalid is not generous giving out “contracts” to cronies? he’s stingy with releasing funds?
MB Khalid should be allowed to serve another term to let him finish what he started. Just like incumbent MPs are allowed to run again. To even think of letting him go is so unfair of PKR especially since Khalid has done such a fine job. Even umno does not get rid of MBs after 1 term.
I lost a little respect for PKR today Shame on them!. Azmin saying there should be a “consensus”. PR won Selangor with Khalid as its head.

I really don’t get it..He gave his reason that what he think is wrong is the MB not pro-business enough and not spending enough so he should be the one?
What does Azmin know about pro-business or even social spending? He is a professional political operative and he argues then he and his group argue that they would be better at it? Enough to cause a ruckus this big?
Khalid Ibrahim is not a great politician. He is a good administrator and he knows business. Even if Khalid is “not dynamic”, someone please tell his group AZMIN ALI IS NOT THE CHOICE FOR pro-business and pro-social spending.. I RATHER HAVE RAFIZI OR NURUL IZZAH OR EVEN KHALID IBRAHIM’S GIRL FAEKAH RUN THE STATE FOR pro-business and pro-spending.
AZMIN ALI has got to learn – HE IS A POLITICIAN – about winning elections and political capital BUT HE IS AN APPRENTICE IN RUNNING A STATE..At best he makes an argument that PR politics need Khalid Ibrahim to be more receptive to what they want. RUN THE STATE? STILL MANY YEARS TO GO for AZMIN..

The party needs assistance from e Chief Executive of e State to remain competitive, healthy, attractive n successful. Azmin is in charge of the party. How much of help did Khalid Ibrahim lend to the party? In addition, Khalid must not only save but also spend for the benefit of the people. No point having RM2 billion in the coffers if the roads are full of potholes n the state are infested by fungus.

Fully agree with Khalid for MB. This man has done Selangor proud in his 5year administration, despite all that was thrown at him every step of the way. Sure, he is a lousy orator and perhaps needs to change his hairstylist. But that doesn’t warrant a change at this juncture. What more can Selangorians want in an MB? Especially after decades under the likes of Harun, Tyson and Toyo?
Just wondering, Haris, what’s with Azmin? What’s his beef? Does he have anything to do with the hidden camera in the MB’s office? Isn’t there some leftovers from somewhere that PKR can feed him for the next 5 years?

My view of Azmin can easily be seen as being tainterd with bias since I have never liked or trusted the fellow in the first place. But, several things about this episode puzzles me.
It was not necessary for him to attend the Kelana Jaya rally – where he was conspicuous by his absence! But, since he disapproved of it, was it necessary for him to make his views public? Such conduct, coming from a senior person in PKR, brings the party into disrepute, that too in the immediate aftermath of the election.
Was it necessary for him to have large numbers of his own supporters standing behind him during the press call? And, since he refutes the view that he was turning “frog”, why the need to do so in the full glare of publicity?
There is much more to it than meets the eye. I, for one, smell a rat, a very large rat!

The point, I think (correct me if I am wrong), is that TS Khalid has done a great job. He should be given another 5 years to continue his good work. You have to admit that 5 years is a short time when you come to running a government or even a big corporate.
To me, TS Khalid deserves another 5 years. (If he can be promoted he should be, but he has reached the highest unless PR take over Putrajaya)

I think they said he is corrupted. And he bought vote in the PKR election. So, a lot of people aligned with him is in the PKR councilor. That is the reason Zaid was kicked out. Another example, he place all his men as Selangor states and parliament candidates. So, PSm lost Semenyih.

Haris,
Azmin Ali seemed to have conducted himself extremely well in this morning’s press conference by saying all the right things.
I don’t really know why AA so coverts the Selangor MB post. He is already a powerful man and is respected by many. From what I can see, the post of MB is not going to add anything more to his stature.
I do know a bit about AA but most of what I know come from his “friend”, RPK, and there is certainly no love lost between those two.
I am sorry to seem a contrarian but I see AA as a “head-kicking” type of politician who is valuable to Pakatan. One can only hope that his “head-kicking” is directed to BN rather than his own colleagues in Pakatan.
Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, on the other hand, seems more of the slow-plodding behemoth. Not pretty to look at and doesn’t say much but plenty of strength, power, organisation and administrative skills with political nuance and things just get done.
Maybe TSK’s problem is that things get done with very little fuss as he just steamrolls his way gently and quietly over his opponents.
AA’s methods are probably flashy and full of pizzazz and dynamism – I dunno enough of the man.
So, who’s for MB of Selangor?
I hate to say it, but AA is right. It’s a question of what the Pakatan leadership group says.
I must admit that given AA’s performance today at his press conference, I have decided to look at him from a different angle. Maybe he is NOT what people say he is.
AA will certainly need to change his politicking style if he is to gain wider acceptance from the community. He is seen to be arrogant, divisive and intolerant Such a view cannot be good for his image.
I really hope the things people say about AA are wrong and he is, in fact, a nice fellow with the interest of the rakyat at heart. I won’t hold my breath though – “head-kicking” politicians are seldom nice people 🙂

Is it any surprise that Azmin controls PKR? He founded and nurtured Keadilan when Anwar was still in jail in 1999? Without Azmin, there would not even be a PKR today. Anwar Ibrahim knows that and that is why it’s so difficult for him right now because he, Anwar, is between a stone and a hard place.

What bothers me from this episode is: Azmin Ali didn’t need a PC to say what he did i.e. I’m not jumping, and the PKR selection of MB should have been different.
As a high ranking politician, AA could have/should have been able to influence the process internally – and if he couldn’t, then he’s not that great and he should accept it instead of blaring it out at a PC.
Unless this is a show of force to challenge Anwar/Azizah – shudder that he is the Dep Pres. and may succeed Anwar to lead PKR! Or when he started off his move he was giving an “invitation-to-UMNO-to-gimme-a-deal” – and was surprised by the strength of Selangorians and DAP/PAS support for Khalid. I think the threat of his ‘jumping’ will always exist.
Running a state needs experience, not mostly of the political kind and AA’s credential are as a staunch Anwar supporter – nothing else.

Khalid Ibrahim is an able administrator and a great gentleman – two qualities that many leaders want but few possess. Azmi should bide his time and prove his capabilities before even thinking about the MB post. So far, he has failed to convince many people that he’s fit to take over Khalid’s post. We who live in Selangor do not need another so-called “decisive leader” like the old mamak. We have enough of this kind of leadership for over two decades and we all understand the consequence thereof. We need a MB who is not corrupted, able to consult with his political colleagues from every component party in matters of importance pertaining to the state and the well being of the people who voted this government to rule for another term. Consultation is not a sign of weakness. We would rather have a slower development due to the process of consultation and conscientious consensus than a so-called rapid development that may lead to corruption. We want a PK government who can work with each other and none of them will become so dominant that until the rest of them are just a “hamba”.
We are Selogorians!

So please do NOT join this AA, he has too much UMNO blood in his veins and it is easy for him to be “transformed”, and you know what I mean.

First of all, does PAS or DAP has a say in who should be the MB? If yes, then the verdict has been concluded. If no, then who has? But then again, whoever holds the power to decide should at least take into consideration the Voters’ voices. All of us are aware that BN has for the past 5 years tried to dig out dirt from Tan Sri and the rest of PR controlled States leaders but failed except for Azizan. I heard that guy is arrogant and unable to deliver. So? The Rakyat of Kedah loses confidence in him. PR lost Kedah to BN. My bet is BN will never find any dirt in these 3 other State leaders.
Now let’s just focus on Selangor alone. BN’s failure to capture Selangor has really broken them spiritually. Likewise if Selangor were to be taken over by BN, the spirit of Selangor citizens will be broken too. Selangor is the heart of Malaysia. So don’t give them even an inch of chance to take back Selangor. Do remember that Selangor has the biggest population in the country and for one to be able to handle and manage such huge population comprising of people from all walks of lives and diversity but only ended up with some minor issues, is one huge major achievement. Tan Sri has done it. Look at all the successful leaders in the world. All of them have one common characteristic and that is humility. And Tan Sri has just that. Tan Sri may not be a vocal person but when the Rakyat of Selangor speaks, he listens.
Anyone can claim that he/she can bring Selangor to a greater height but why take the gamble when we know very well that BN is not far away to cash in to win Selangor back when the new Leader makes a major mistake? Tan Sri has the experience not to make that mistake.
My opinion on Azmin? Well, he’s a different type of leader. Forceful, aggressive, vocal, a person who can lead a battalion to a war. He will be more suitable to be in the Home Ministry. A lot clean up to do in this area and we need somebody like him to get it done. We don’t feel safe anymore. Only a strong and forceful Home Minister can deliver. I believe Azmin is the man for this home ministry job. As for the MB role, well Tan Sri Khalid has led Selangor to victory with a bigger margin. Do you think it is right to put him on the back seat? My vote? Without any reasonable doubt, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim for Selangor MB post….

Yes Pakatan should have the agreement of all partners in the Alliance of choosing a Selangor MB. PAS and DAP have given their preference but, most importantly, it is the People’s choice…and it was said loudly and clearly without any doubt, the choice was Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim…that includes my humble vote for what it is worth.

AA should know that not all the people who had voted for him, did so based on his reputation but more so for the sake of PR. We did not want PR to lose any seat which could be crucial. I had asked my mother and sister to vote for him to give PR the chance eventhough I am not comfortable with him.
On the MB’s post, I would definitely like to give TS Khalid another term to conclude the many issues still pending such as water, tolls, etc. As the MB has to have the confidence of all the state assemblymen, the best way is to get all the state assemblymen to put in their votes. It is up to DAP and PAS to instruct their respective assemblymen to vote en bloc or give them individual choice.

Alahai, where got time for this pettiness. I am going to call both PAS and DAP and just put two names – TS Khalid, failing which, Khalid Samad. Habis cerita. Zuraida and her 14 seats and go fly kite.

I sympathize with Azmin, but he must do more to come across with the sincerity that Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim possesses. He may be able to do a better job, especially with the acquisition of the water concessionaires to be given back to the rakyat of Selangor, but I don’t trust him.

I am for Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim. He has proven himself. He should contnue with the position as I believe he can do even better. We need someone humble. We do not want the egoistic and greedy Azmin Ali at all in the picture. Do not let it be another BN.

I am very angry with Pakatan leaders because they had misuse our trust in them. Azmin should have thought that we did’t vote for any candidate but we vote for the change. Azmin don’t WASH ur dirty linen in the public. We are ur boss and not the other way around. We vote for Pakatan in Selangor and therefore we are rightful boss and u have to listen to the people wishes. Azmin please decide whether u are going to stay or otherwise. WE WANT CHANGE IN EVERYTHING IN MALAYSIA. EITHER U BE PART OF IT OR BE PREPARE TO BE DISPOSED.

I am for Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim too. However, I have one wish for him, please be more aggressive with your staff especially those appointed by the federal government. I have seen in the past how certain town council presidents do not seem to respect the opposition ADUN’s and even the state Exco members. So please be more aggressive and tell them off or transfer those whom are recalcitrant towards the ADUN’s or state exco members and please reveal any dirt that you may discover from the previous BN government.

Think it was interesting that quite a few voters in some Selangor constituencies voted for PR in the state election but not in the parliamentary election. Why do you think they did that? And why did PR lose those (15?) parliamentary seats they had won in 2008?
Could it be that the proven good state government management records achieved from 2008 to 2013 by MB Khalid Ibrahim’s team, and that of the proven Kelantan and Penang PR-teams under the leadership of MB Tok Guru and CM LGE, gave the voters a real and confident yardstick to compare against the state government management performance achieved by UMNO/BN? And might they have been a little hesitant to offer on trust their confidence to PR in terms of federal government management given that there was nothing to benchmark for that against UMNO/BN’s 56-year record?
So why would PR want to take (totally unnecessary) risks now like putting political novices with zero proven experience or skills in public sector (financial) management at the helm of the wealthiest state in Malaysia, especially when it has so much else already on its plate to deal with if it wants to keep public confidence going long enough to win federal power?
