PDRM, A-G, how do you apply the law before God?

Mahathir said this on his blog posting of 11th April, 2013.

“But Kit Siang is going to bring about conflict and antagonism between the races, to wage the Chinese to dislike and hate the Malays.”

He also said,”When Kit Siang decided to contest in Chinese majority Gelang Patah it is because he wanted the Chinese there and in Johor to reject working together and sharing with the Malays.”

Seditious or not? Why the unequal application of the law? Why hasn’t Mahathir been charged?

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“O people! The nations before you went astray because if a noble person committed theft, they used to leave him, but if a weak person among them committed theft, they used to inflict the legal punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad committed theft, I, Muhammad, will cut off her hand!”

In having to make a choice between what is right and just and what is construed loyalty, even to one’s own daughter, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) taught us to which priority ought to be given.

“They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do”
….Surah Al Maa’idah ayat 79

Umar ibn `Abdul `Aziz said, “It used to be that Allah the Most High does not punish the common people for the sins of the elite; but when the evil is done openly, and they do not repudiate it, they all become deserving of His punishment.”
…Hadith Bukhari and Muslim

Where does the loyalty for the Muslim lie today? Can their loyalty be to their family, tribe or nation ahead of other loyalties? Is there any other loyalty than the loyalty to Allah and His Messenger, to al-Islam and the Deen of Allah?

{O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort or refuse, then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted}
