So says this UMNO-led government and its courts.
No, not just call His Name in vain.
You shall not call His Name.
Period.
But God says otherwise, you say?
“Say, “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever you call – to Him belong the best names.” And do not recite loudly in your prayer or quietly but seek between that a way” – Surah 17 verse 110 of the Holy Qur’an.
Hey, dumbo, this is Malaysia!
On the brink of Godlessness.
Unless you see UMNO as God.

Allah is not exclusive to Islam, says Emirati editorial
9:45AM Oct 15, 2013
An United Arab Emirates (UAE) newspaper has expressed its astonishment with the Court of Appeal’s decision yesterday to ban the Catholic weekly Herald from using the word ‘Allah’ to refer to God, emphasising that the word was “not exclusive to Islam”.
The National, an government-owned UAE newspaper which is based in Abu Dhabi, said that yesterday’s court decision appears to be “wrong”.
“In a fellow Muslim country with substantial Christian and Hindu populations, this feels like the wrong decision,” said the editorial.
“The word ‘Allah’ is never exclusive to Islam – indeed, both Christians and Jews used the word ‘Allah’ to refer to God even before the coming of Islam,” it said.
“When Christians across the Middle East pray to God, they use the term ‘Allah’. Walk into a church in Cairo, Baghdad or Beirut this coming Sunday and you will hear the name of ‘Allah’ invoked.
“The Quran itself is explicit on this subject, declaring, in Surah Al Ankabut, that Muslims should tell People of the Book (Christians and Jews) that ‘our God and your God is one’.”
Etymology overlooked
The editorial said that the decision overlooks not only the theology, but also the etymology of the word.
“The word ‘Allah’ is derived from the Arabic ‘al-ilah’, the god. It’s found its way across the world and entered Malay from Arabic,” it said.
“Arabic as a language is a vehicle for faith, be that Christianity, Judaism or Islam. The God of the three monotheistic religions is the same god. It is unsurprising, therefore, that all three faiths in the Arabic-speaking world (and beyond) refer to God as ‘Allah’.
“And if they have the same God, they should have the right to call their deity by the same name,” it added.

Please publish the names and photographs of the uneducated and non-learned IDIOTS in Malaysia’s Court of Appeal who made this idiotic decision so everyone can know who these confirmed idiots and political brown-nosers are.

Haris,
This “Allah” ruling has gone around the world and from what I have seen and read, other Muslims elsewhere are gobsmacked.
I think Pakistan is the only other country where this decision has been debated rather heatedly on social media. But then, what could one expect from a country which has so-called Muslims who shoot female children for wanting to go to school.
I am curious how Sabah and Sarawak will deal with this ruling from Semananjung. I suspect they will just blatantly ignore it.
Hopefully, this ruling will also jolt Sabahans and Sarawakians out of the rut they have been stuck in.

I find it appalling that a Malay could post comments in the Malaysian Insider verses from the Quran that says Jesus is only a messenger, hence he/she concluded that the word Allah is exclusive to Muslims. How he/she can derive at that conclusion is beyond rational understanding. Regardless of who Jesus is, what is the relevance to the word Allah?? The sad part is no one from the Muslim community take the effort to correct this person. The problem with this country is majority of Muslims do not see it necessary to make a stand to right the wrongs simply because the contention is made by non-Muslims. Their in-action has not only made Malaysia a laughing stock the world over but also a mockery of Islam. I’m neither Muslim nor Christian and I have no intention to convert anyone and neither can anyone convert me simply because I’m strong in my faith, period. The rationale is as simple as that. It is really amazing that majority of Muslims do not realize that we are the only Muslim country that is capable of making an issue out of One word.

Obviously they thought human beings, Christians or otherwise, are capable of undermining the God, tuhan, Allah they pray to. Certainly they think Allah needs to be defended. Certainly they have taken up the cudgel to defend their Allah. Certainly they are saying their Allah needs to be defended and it is incumbent upon them to defend him. Certainly they are saying in defending him they are indeed stronger and less vulnerable than him. Certainly they are saying that their Allah is weak, vulnerable and fragile.
And now that they have defended him, they can now legitimately make a claim in the annals of Islamic History that the Malays too have played a role. In Islamic History you read about the Arabs, Persians, Indians and maybe Chinese too. But as a community within the Islamic ummah you never hear of any Malay contribution towards the advancement of Islam. But now, the Malays of Malaysia stand alone in the defence of the name of Allah. Not even the Arabs have contemplated that the Arabic name “Allah” should be the sole preserve of Islam. They have allowed the Christian Arabs to use it. They have allowed Malays to use it as if it is a Malay word. They have also allowed all the different language groups to use the word Allah as a word in their own language. Unless of course the Malays of Malaysia have through divine intervention come to the realisation that Allah is indeed the actual name of God, like Paul is mine, a pronoun. If that is what they are saying then it is best that they get that established with all Muslims around the world first.

All the morons in Umno would like to think they are Allah ! At least they are Allah to the minority of Malaysians and whatever it is they might just as well ‘make hay while the sun shines’ until the next GE. Or may be sooner when the so called partners in the coalition start jumping to be with the opposition !

A Kuwaiti friend of mine asked me this question: “Why is it Muslims in your country have so much problems with Islam?” We are most happy if “Allah” belongs to everybody!
Frankly, I do not know how to answer him.

Islam is an adopted religion by the Melayu Muslims in Malaysia. They have failed miserably to stay faithful to the Islamic teachings, simply because, they became a tool use of a political party UMNO… for its survival and deception. The Muslim community has lost its way, like lost souls wandering in a forbidden land… engaging in sinful activities with handsome materialistic benefits. Poor Allah.

Suggest every Malaysian take every opportunity they get to write and use the name of Allah whenever they please and as often as you wish since the politicking bastards have just read all Malaysians the riot act on Allah and thrown you their politicking gauntlet.
Since God/The Lord/ The Father/Allah/Brahman/The Great Spirit/Eywah, etc.etc. of infinite names belongs to the entire human race and not just to these unholy, ugly, crafty politicking bastards in Malaysia, who we know must have zero love or respect or devotion to or for this hijacked Allah, may I suggest you start showing your two fingers to the bastards who are insulting your and God’s/Allah’s intelligence, assuming you do believe in the existence of an Almighty somewhere called Allah.
It is after all Allah-hu-Akhbar! I believe and not UMNO-hu-Akhbar!, right?

It will be nice, the newly awarded the name Allah by the monkey judges in the Appeal Court to UMNO Muslims… if they could could play a DVD showing the existence of their Allah, we (non-Muslim infidels) shall forever be silenced! If failing to do so, you will be the true infidels of your faith…stop your bullshitting!! I can only feel sorry for the other Muslim communities in the world to be placed in such an embarrassing situation…something they did not ask for or claimed.
