This morning, the vehicle to take the truth of what is happening in this nation to our brothers and sisters in the outlying areas and who are susceptible to the lies of Utusan, BH, RTM, TV3, etc, is launched.
It’s in English.
The sister publication, in the Malay language, will be up and running in two months.
Many may wonder how this news will be gotten to those most in need of the truth.
I will share the strategy with you in due course.
For now, I ask you to please trust the planning of the Strategic Evaluation and Advancement Team.
It is work in progress, so please bear with our team.

Bro,
I am very confident that, in due course, you will see that this is more than just a news aggregator.
Thank you for your patience, bro.

Welcome2 to Rakyat Times…..the Rakyat’s Spring…so wonderful. At last we have our own identity!
Many thanks and bravo Haris/Jaya and team(boys and girls!) for having kept the promise to the RAKYAT. No need to say, it was well worth waiting for!!
Thismakes one feel emotional and terribly good.
The wish is that the Rakyat will be PERSUADED to not only know the truth but to speak it to one another and spread it..

Good morning Haris, you might want to ask the team to register the site with the major virus scanning software as McAfee (which I use) flagged it as a questionable site and blocked access. I am uncertain about the other scanners though.

Interesting development but McAfee has blocked my access to the site as well.
Free access to free press information in the rural heartlands on the hard readership and soft distributorship fronts I presume. The train the trainer approach sounds good. It will probably work (without damaging dear Malaysiakini) to check the mind-numbing effect in the rural heartlands now from the Goebbels-styled propaganda being spewed out day in, day out from the Malaysian Third Reich’s Utusan orifice aka UMNO/BN’s toilet paper.

Haris,
It looks good 🙂
Well done to all those involved.
The only comment I have is the intent of the site in penetrating the outlying areas.
I don’t really know how far the Internet has gotten into rural Malaysia but I do know that around my kampung, there are many without an Internet connection.
In fact, I would hazard a guess and say that many have probably never seen a webpage ever.
Would not the rural areas be better served by direct face-to-face meetings? Or physical print media?
Just thinking out aloud.

Not sure if the indigenous/ natives in Sarawak/Sabah read English or Malay. I think it is malay lingo they use . 60% of Sarawakian are Dayaks.
Spend more time/resources/money/logistic for them i.e publishe in Malay lingo ( TOP priority )
Can ignore the urban population esp the chinese ( or put on low priority ) ….the cyber media will keep them well nformed
