It is usually that way with human nature, the grass being greener on the other side! We don’t pay attention to what is near and dear to us, usually
About….only a dozen of us were there. but as the saying goes less being more..we who were present were comrades, we saw and met good and loyal friends from whom we derive the courage to stand out there and remind the government that the souls of the publisized custodial death victims are still crying out loud to those in power that the rakyat till today does not get the answers to the truth that is needed as to…..why the poor mostly and the downtrodden die in a convenient cell guarded under police custody.
We need to know . And that is why we stand each year to tell our government this fact…..that custodial deaths are suspicious deaths.
These custodial deaths, are insufficiently investigated and are becoming our heritage…..we need an independent body of persons of high moral standing to tell the truth.
This memorial by the river,,,,,should once again act as a reminder that the sorrow of the families of those of our brothers and sisters who were condemned to die under dubious circumstances needs to be appeased, once and for all.
