Moderator’s note : A week back, Sivaji ( not his real name ) contacted me.
It had been quite a while since we last spoke, and I knew that he had been quite involved in PKR.
He asked if we could meet.
I told him that I was quite pressed for time given my Negara-Ku and ABU work, and asked if there was anything urgent.
He replied that he was quite exasperated with this whole Khalid fiasco and the goings-on in PKR for some time.
He started to pour out his heart, but I stopped him.
“What do you want me to do with whatever you are going to tell me?”, I asked.
If you believe what I am about to tell you, you can write about it and put it up on your blog.”, he replied.
“I know you well enough to trust you. This is what I will do. You write up whatever you want to tell me in a way that will not require me to do too much editing. After I have read it, if I think people have a right to know what you have written to me, I will publish it on my blog.”, I told Sivaji.
I received Sivaji’s story in the mail today.
It bore the same title as this post, and it appears below, with the minimal of editing.

Was there a plan to remove Khalid long before the Kajang move?
Going by the revelations going around now it seems so.
But Khalid, it seems, was never in the loop of those plans.
So was he given (rather set up) to get the MBs position knowing he will get the job done and set the stage for the others to take over later?
From what has happened in the PKR elections, it seems that there was a plan to get him.
Sources have indicated that it was the top man in PKR who encouraged Khalid to contest Azmin.
Was this an attempt to show Malaysians that democracy is well and good in PKR?
We will never know.
When it dawned upon the leadership that Khalid was very much popular among the party members, Saifuddin was suddenly pushed into the race.
Most party members know this was an attempt to break Khalid’s votes.
It is very much a well known whisper amongst party members that the top man himself not only got Saifuddin to submit his nomination but phone calls were made to Division Heads to ensure votes were delivered for Saifuddin in the party elections.
Even with that Khalid has put up a good show against Azmin.
Without Saifuddin, Khalid would have won the Deputy President’s post by now.
And the Kajang move would have been buried.
Together with this was the conduct of the PKR election process.
After having much criticized the Election Commission, the PKR election Committee was no better.
There were insufficient election personnel in all the Divisions.
Ballot papers were insufficient in places where voter turnouts were larger than expected.
But more serious was the lack of independent observers, re-lections conducted without any valid reasons, voting locations in re-elections shifted to favour a particular candidate.
In Sungai Siput the incumbent Chairman and Committee were the counting agent. Ballot papers were marked by themselves. I saw this personally, gangsters from a particular camp were downstairs, so I could not do much.
In Pahang, Indian members were not encouraged to take part in the elections.
Why?
Many Indians favour Khalid. Just the funds given to temples and Tamil schools were good enough for the Indians to have Khalid as the party deputy president.
In Sabah, where there was large voter turnout favoring Khalid, the elections were disrupted and called off.
More frightening was what took place in Selangor.
Where Indians won the Ketua Cabang, elections were called off or some reason was given to call for re-election of completed elections.
At one time the results showed that 12 of the 22 Ketua Cabang had been won by Indian members. Where the winning candidate was known to favour Saifuddin or Azmin, there was no re-election.
Kuala Selangor was another issue together. They had to shame Khalid. They did that eventually
In Sepang, the Ketua Cabang was won by an Indian member. Haji Borhan, a close ally of Azmin, lost. Re-elections were called and the voting centre shifted to a place far from the first centre. The Indian candidate lost and Haji Borhan won the re-election.
In Puchong, in the first round, Khalid got the highest votes (861 against 22 for Azmin and 20 for Saifuddin). Re-elections have been called this Sunday.
What will happen?
We will never be able to tell. There will be no voting agents seated in the hall to object, only observors. This is the SOP for re-elections in PKR.
In Kuala Selangor, the elections were held again on June 22nd and the ballot boxes taken to Party headquarters. The counting took place on the 26th at 9pm.
The SOP for counting is either the votes for Ketua Cabang or the Timbalan President would be counted first or second vice versa.
The counting here started for Timbalan President and Khalid got 517 votes as against 440 for Azmin. Trends showed that if you win the Timbalan President votes, the Ketua Cabang aligned to the Timbalan President candidate will also win. Within 5 minutes there was a blackout. Later investigations showed there was a blackout indeed, but I still have my doubts from what I heard from the TNB.
The lights came on. The counting agents were told that the Ketua Cabang votes will be counted later. Protests were made but no effect. The votes for Pusat Wanita were counted. Meanwhile the vote trays for Ketua Cabang was hidden from view. One slight move by persons blocking the view showed a counting clerk holding a pencil. No action taken.
Votes were counted for Ketua Cabang and Khalid lost to Mike. 515 against 701.
There 370 empty ballot papers for Timbalan President post but there was only 120 empty ballot papers for Ketua Cabang. Those who did not know to vote for the Timbalan President suddenly knew how to vote for the Ketua Cabang.
Complaints were submitted but no action taken on this.
The complaints have since gone to the ROS
Is there an attempt to get Khalid out this way?
All this failing, the present move by the PKR leadership is very much questionable as to the real reasons.
Is there an attempt to keep Azmin safe so that when all settles down he would become the MB replacing Wan Azizah?
Azmin is very quiet.
Was this the game plan all along to go for the State coffers eventually?

Sivaji,
i think Tan Sri Khalid case is simple – he has got to go and the longer he doesn’t then at the end of the day all the good he has done will be tarnish by none other than himself. Why?
Simple really and i will by pass all the technicality for the sake of simplicity and i will use the highlight you have raised which indicate Tan Sri is indeed highly popular, lots of grassroots support.within the PKR.
lets say certain faction is PKR is out to get him, lets say for argument sake, PKR is evil and Tan Sri is innocent.
now, let see what have PKR is doing recently.. giving and sharing justification of TanSri.. despite the fact that they don’t have to and yes those justification can be wrong and/or right. PKR also issues show cause letter to make it official.
now, lets see what Tan Sri has been doing recently.. going and also publishing certain PAS leadership, having solat hajat in MB residence lead by PAS youth member… am I missing something here, heard he was popular summat..

Haris,
Based on what I have read in the public domain, my personal opinion is that Khalid has done good things for Selangor.
He amassed an RM3billion reserve (by a trick of accounting and foisting of liabilities if I recall) and negotiated a good settlement for the water deal (could have had been better but …).
Unfortunately for Khalid, I feel he has also done some silly things as well, e.g the Bible issue, the silence about his Bank Islam deal, his apparent Lone Ranger style of management.
Are the silly things Khalid has done enough to hang the man?
In my opinion, no BUT Selangor is not just about Khalid Ibrahim, only Khalid Ibrahim and nobody else but Khalid ibrahim.
It is about Pakatan Rakyat and its journey to Putrajaya.
What happens in Selangor after Khalid Ibrahim cannot be laid at his feet.
On that score, Khalid Ibrahim should rethink his position.
If Khalid Ibrahim cares only about Khalid Ibrahim, he should fight to the bitter end.
If Khalid Ibrahim cares about Putrajaya, he knows what to do – after all, there are many ways in which he can stay involved with Selangor.

If this is true, pkr is worst then umno. If they can do this without any federal power, imagine how much worst they can do with power. But you can see a pattern already. Anyone who post a treate to azmin with found themself in deep shit n either quit or resign from pkr; tski, Zaid, ezam, roslan and i suspect many more…

This expose does not reach the heights of your own expose of the Bank Islam deal, Haris. I heard that one from you first.
Azmin is a unique creature. We will have to deal with fairly him in due time. But the main problem now is Khalid. Eventually, we have to go back to where it all began. But we won’t have the chance unless we address where it has all lead to.
So first things first.

I would like to apologize for another matter.
Your blog became very quiet at the time I thought you needed our support the most.
I am sorry, but I could not have done more. It hurts me much but I could not do much more.
It may be that for the sake of this country it would be wise to consider and adjust for these things.

Hi HARIS
Khalid must explain all d allegations against him irrespective of whatever is going on inside PKR.Remember, people do change; especially in politics.Khalid must be held responsible for all his actions esp when it involves the public.
It is also presumptuous to say Kak Wan will make way for Azmin Ali to become MB. It does look like Kak Wan is the best choice given her courage to always step up to the plate whenever the need arises.
Game plan or not, Khalid should not be such an obstacle to our march to Putrajaya. If he has nothing to hide, why the need to cling on, as if his dear life depends on it !

Also,
Khalid behaved like a dictator when he went ahead to sign the water MOU with Putrajaya, ALL BY HIMSELF!
It was a most SHOCKING behaviour. Most unbecoming of a “WAKIL” rakyat!

Just imagine,
Am I prepared to leave the fate of my water supply in d hands of just this one man ? How about the rest of our wakils? Do we not deserve the best service arising from their team work?
No, Haris.
When Khalid behaves like that, he has to go.He has to be replaced.Azmin Ali is another story for another day.
Khalid should be replaced.

We must NOT jump to conclusions and make judgements, based solely on what ‘Sivaji’ wrote, it has not been verified and it certainly reads like he has an axe to grind with PKR. Such opinions must be taken for what it is, unverified information, and with a pinch of salt.
Sivaji ignores the obvious and is selective with his writings. Such a person can’t be relied upon to provide objective info, or be rational in his approach, he is NOT telling all that he knows, or should know.
It is a fact that TSK has been disloyal to PKR, the party that made him the Selangor MB.
It is a fact tht TSK manages the Selangor State Govt like his personal kingdom, not consulting his own EXCO and making decisions unilaterally,
it is a fact that TSK is a loner in the Selangor State Govt.
it is a fact that TSK has been hiding under the skirts of the Sultan, Hadi, Nik Aziz, and some PAS hardliners, in order to survive, even to the extent of disregarding the very existence of his own party leaders
It is a fact that TSK DID NOT consult anyone in his EXCO in detail, when signing the deal with Berjaya, and ECO World.
It is a fact that TSK went ahead and signed the water agreement with the Federal Govt, WITHOUT the knowledge of it Economic Advisor, it is a fact that TSK “sneaked” to Putrajaya to sign the water agreement with PM, DPM, Ministers, present, which does cast a shadow of doubt upon himself. If it was something that everyone knew beforehand, why the secrecy when traveling to Putrajaya?
It is a fact that TSK was initially in total disagreement with approving the langat water plant, and of the valuation of Syabas, etc., why then his sudden generosity towards the same companies, and of the sudden approval of the same water plant, in total secrecy too.
It is a fact that TSK is guilty of gross insubordination
it is a fact that TSK made a private deal with Bank Islam, with the assistance of TS Manaf, and Puan Rohana, both UMNO cronies, WITHOUT even the knowledge of his own lawyers.
It is a fact that TSK is now thumbing his nose at his own party leaders, a party that he is a member of.
It is a fact that the 2 individuals who helped him negotiate the deal with Bank Islam, TS Manaf, and Puan Rohana, are associated with Berjaya and ECO World
It is a fact that TSK has, since the private deal was done with Bank Islam, done EVERYTHING that benefits BN/UMNO
It is a fact that TSK is depending on UMNO/BN to, Pakatan’s political enemy, and on PAS, to hang on to power, WHILST BEING A MEMBER OF PKR
There’s lots more.
I am sure Sivaji is reading this article of his, printed verbatim by Harris, and I am sure he is reading the comments. Let him, and those that support TSK deal with the facts above, and if he/they are in in support of TSK, then, pen his/their answers here.
TSK MAY be a good man, but he has brought suspicion upon himself, by his own actions, and he is acting like an agent of BN/UMNO, and he is going against his own party, the same party that made him the MB. TSK MAY have been a good MB of Selangor, and a good administrator, but that can only be spoken of, in the past tense. As MB, you are judged by what you are doing NOW, not in the PAST.
TSK has to go, for the reasons given above.
Let’s hear from Sivaji.

Dear SS Nath,
Your reply is clearly “kok” talk, all Selangorians are grateful that Anwar is not MB and they are even more grateful that he is not the PM of Malaysia, You say all the reasons why he should leave ( Khalid I mean ), but You fail to refer to the article which so clearly states the worst electoral frauds in Malaysian History, its the mother of all electoral frauds, and the so-called electoral fraud claimed by Anwar is child’s play compared to what happened in PKR Elections, I dont think any Malaysian will ever vote for PKR or even DAP ever again, the groundswell of discontenment is overwhelming over the PR govt in Selangor, and if a snap election is held PR is history in Selangor, So many people hate Anwar for misleading them, and if You speak to 10 people about Anwar all 10 will say he really screwed Saiful, when before they doubted he did it,

Muru Gesu,
Unfortunately, your brains are in the area in which you mention, ‘kok’, and not in your head. This is what happens when people comment, without using their brains, but by that area again.
If you read carefully, I did not say PKR elections are fair, I just said Sivaji has not provided information, or evidence, it is just ‘kok’ talk, to borrow your phrase. He is repeating what he read on the internet, what PKR’s and Anwar’s enemies, and what BN told him.
That, is just hearsay, and insufficient.
If he saw it personally, show it, or report it.
Again, if you read carefully, and understand it, if you can’t ask a Std 6 pupil to explain it to you, and if you still can’t, then stay at home and look after the garden.
I DID NOT mention Anwar’s guilt or otherwise. Whether Anwar sodomised Saiful, has nothing to do with the issue.
If Anwar had indeed sodomised Saiful, does it mean TSK can do anything he wants? Sure, go ahead and vote PKR out, if a snap election is called, and vote Pakatan out at the next GE. But, that is NOT the issue I commented.
But, please for the sake of your own credibility, address the contents of the comments, and not talk of anything else.
Go and learn and read a bit more, and then, if you think that you will not make a fool of yourself again, then say something about the subject that you are commenting on, not about the indian movies that you saw yesterday, and show your ignorance.
If you are that shallow, just stay away from commenting, and read comic books instead, and that might just up your alley, and nearer your intellect.
Enough said.

What can you say about a man who defy party orders? Is he above the party? One has to understand the Unholy Trinity, Anwar, Wan Azizah and Azmin, of PKR. Khalid Samad is just the pond in this game of Chess. The Chess game is between Anwar and Wan Azizah, the subject, Azmin, at the peril of the rakyat.
This is far worse than Barisan. They cant manage a party and cant imagine what a disaster it will be if they were at Putrajaya.
All else happening on the ground is academic.

At first Khalid has my sympathy, he did a good job after all, but his defiance is overkill. No one should be above disciplinary board meet. I thought this disciplinary meeting would be a good occasion for him to clear himself of any wrong-doing. But instead he prefers to play a busy MB.
Just the thought that he is willing to pull down Selangor govt with him is selfish and beyond forgiveness if in the eventual State Election, Selangor falls back to BN
Sak, at the rate this country is being mismanaged by BN, I would worry more if BN continues to run this country! The list is too long to mention what ills Malaysia. In politics, there will always be in-fighting within the party and clashes between coalition parties …… unlike the “totalitarian” partnership in BN where DUMNO rules and the rest just squeak if unhappy.

Brabo sivaji,
whether you gathered your points from the right source or from the internet, the truth is pkr can’t even run their own party elections professionally but condemn the election commission.
Way back in 2010 they did the same stunt of cheating where zaid ibrahim withdrew halfway in the race and this time khalid ibrahim,
King of ibrahim’s is only anwar ibrahim and any other ibrahim ,abraham or rama’s are subservient to his rule of law. and at his disposal.

PKR used to be that “light at the end of the tunnel” for many young Malaysian who seeks changes in this country…now this internal bickering and Anwar’s nepotism really is frustrating…don’t wait until all of us tired of this elitist bullshit within party that is supposed for the people and go for “lesser of two evil”…

But instead of casting aspersions, belittling persons and analyzing….why don’t we all become aware of what is happening and ….
