My friends, and people I meet who come up and speak to me, and I, are clear about one thing.
The kleptocracy that this nation is now perceived to be, has been facilitated by the foundations that you laid during your 22 years in office.
And yet many of these same people, these friends and people I meet, urge me to consider these possibilities.
That you have come to realise the errors of your earlier ways.
That you wish to now, through the next general election, remove Najib, UMNO and BN from power and begin the process of undoing the damage that has been inflicted on this nation.
They ask that I consider these possibilities and, for the sake of the nation, place my faith in and give my fullest support to a Pakatan Harapan led by you.
I confess that, for the various reasons I have previously stated, I am struggling to come to terms with this.
What might have helped?
A simple “Yes, I made mistakes, now let me work with all of you to make things right” would have sufficed.
That’s not been forthcoming.
Instead, from time to time, you have alluded to dark periods in our national history and sought to explain them away.
The Salleh Abas sacking.
Ops Lalang.
The latest : Anwar’s sacking.
Do us all a favour, please, if you really want everyone to come round to working with Pakatan Harapan, led by you, come the 14th GE.
If you must embark on these piecemeal explanations of past travesties, be man enough to acknowledge responsibility for the same, rather than exonerating yourself by laying the blame on others.
If you cant, just zip it, please.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word for this old MahaFiruan. When all is said and done in GE14, this man as pm, must be led to the dock and be tried. Will that happen or will he put phase 2 of his grand plans in motion as pm ?

First it was Hussein Hamid from Melbourne, now, Haris Ibrahim, have thrown the spanner in the works.
The explanations of both, Hussein and Clare, are not sufficiently convincing to persuade most of us that they have the interest of Malaysians, who want DS Najib out.
Whilst Hussein and Clare seem to be motivated by money, and ego, as to who should take the credit for blowing the whistle on the scandals, Haris is more selfish, he is motivated by hatred, revenge and wants his pound of flesh.
Does it require an intellect like Albert Einstein to know that these actions are contradictory to everything that we Malaysians have been working and possibly praying hard to achieve these past few years?
Why is it so difficult for Haris to just let things be, not retaliate in this manner? Especially with the 14th GE so close.
Or did he on purpose choose the timing?
A lot of us, have put our personal feelings aside, our dislike of Tun M, etc.,, indeed we have put all out hated of so many people in PH aside, and all we want is to rally behind, the once the most hated man in Malaysia, Tun M, and and others, to ensure the removal of the BN Govt. There are those, that have greater personal reasons to hate Tun M, but, have decided, consciously, to just let it go, for the sake of Malaysia’s future and well being.
Tun M is now leading the opposition, along with many others who don’t see eye to eye on a million issues among themselves, but yet, can come together and discuss, argue, disagree, etc, and then, go forward.all with a view to winning the 14th GE.
This morning, I sincerely hope that Haris realises that he has destroyed everything, that PH has worked for, the last couple of years.
All because he wants the blood of Tun M, as if, if he had that, everything will be ok.
When will Haris ever grow up, and think of All Malaysians, not just himself.
If you do not want to play a part, just keep quiet, don’t sabotage all our efforts, please.
With people like Hussein, Clare and Haris, Najib doesn’t need anyone else to win this coming election.
I am truly disappointed.
It’ll be another generation, before the present situation, presents itself.

I don’t personally know who the writer is, nor do I have any stake in the upcoming election.
The writer has a valid point. Past mistakes should be acknowledged, and atoned for. And if this writing truly destroyed everything PH has worked towards/for the last few years..it must not have been substantial to begin with.
Speaking the truth, on a personal level, has such a liberating effect. I imagine the effect is million-fold on a national level. Just saying….

Haris many tks….you have always been a responsible thinker for yourself and us ( yes many of us) have been so touched, time and time again, by your resilient guidance and steadfastness.
Forgiveness is the key now. We all know and have felt for the sins of the past of the person who is the subject of your worthy blog! For they are past sins, especially the sin against a man of true justice ie Tun Abbas. So many people feel like you that Tun Abbas had been so cruelly and unashamedly and powerfully, abused by just ONE person.
I am Christian…..have been taught that where there is a likelihood of repentance of sins committed against one, it is encumbent on the person aggrieved to immediately FORGIVE AND FORGET!!!
Too many persons with good sense are around Mahathir now….they all are dying, I dare say, to save this great Nation of ours. They are our vanguard. They will stand up to guide us as they seek to deliver us in like manner. Am so overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotion by Malaysians and the media….SAVE OUR BELOVED NATION are the keywords for now and hopefully for always. We have to rally round our flag, not just FLY it on occasions.
Haris, we sympathize with your earnest wish to extract an apology…..maybe that can come later? There is usually a time and place for everything. No worries!!!
For now give to Mahathir what should be called, the “quality of mercy”. We should not allow it to be strained.
If you and all of us give Mahathir our collective mercy, we will stand tall. He won’t fail to see that, being the intelligent guy that he is, for sure!! God will be be ready to bless you, us Malaysians and him (Mahathir) who takes from us …..our unrestrained mercy.
Let’s do it….bravo Haris!!!!!

Haris, will never change his thinking, he is hell bent on sabotaging all efforts in ensuring that PH projects a collective and united stand when they face the 14th GE.
Why he is doing this, is left to the readers to come to their own conclusions, I have mine.
PERHAPS, just like the skunk from Manchester, Haris has his needs too, and he has commitments, but then, why not just come out and say it.
When one man, despite all the advice friends and supporters have given him, still insists on sabotaging, and wants Tun M’s blood, and in the process, does terrible damage to the hopes and dreams of millions of others, the reasons are obvious.
There are many people, who are so called social activists by name, but, something very sinister in practice, and Haris wanting Tun M’s head given to him on a silver platter, well, speaks volumes of his activism.
I have crossed swords with Haris many times here, and then he went quiet, perhaps contemplating how to make his alleged activism profitable. Then, this morning after I read his post here, I couldn’t help, but, hoped that by pointing out his lack of judgement, he MAY change, however, I must admit that when one is desperate, nothing would make sense, except his needs.

Gosh, John Khoo and Susan, please leave the bible alone, this is not the time to give sermons, especially to someone like Haris? Do you think Haris doesn’t know of the existence of that verse? He knows that, and even more, however, like you both, he is not dictated by verses in the bible, Haris has his own bible, his bible is filled with hatred, revenge and more hated and revenge.
Quoting the bible, doesn’t take care of Haris” needs, as much as knowing the bible, and what’s written in it, makes anyone a christian.
Shaku says he is a christian, what has that got to with the issue at hand? Because you are a christian, and believe the bible, Haris also must? Come on!!!!!

I think this is a jolly good Dear Mahathir debate. Not all of us need agree, that he is dear, we may have our own opinions, that is our right, this is what is known as freedom of expression in a democratic society.
Why get angry with one another, so far so good that all are able to speak their minds. That is what is good about HI’s posts. he allows it either way…..whether you defend his view point or offend it….he still publishes everything, he is courageous and he believes in justice…let him have his say fellas and gals! that’s the way to go!

Bravo Haris, So, you admit, that you’ll NOT vote BN. |
However, it seems that you will do everything you can, to sabotage the people who are working very hard to ensure that PH stands a chance to get rid of ” the robbers and thieves presently camping in Putrajaya”, your words, not mine, who have put their personal hatred of Tun M aside, who have had to eat humble pie, in so many ways. so many times, who have sacrificed a great deal, etc., and now we must re-consider our stand, ALL BECAUSE TUN M IS NOT SHUTTING UP, AS WHAT HARIS IBRABIM, WANTS HIM TO DO.
And tell me Haris, if Tun M shuts up, as you insist, then, you’d say that PH would have a greater chance of winning? Is that your contention?
Then, can someone please make an appointment an see Tun M, and tell him to shut up, because Haris Ibrahim, and 3 of his supporters, said so?
Then Haris, you are no different from that skunk from Manchester, who insists his strategy is right, and everyone must adhere to his way, or, he will sabotage everything everyone does.
When a person insists on something, very desperately, and forgets all reasoning and rationale, and goes against his own friends, then, something is very wrong, he has a greater reason to consider, and what that is, only you know. Again, not unlike the skunk from Manchester, who by way, banned me from commenting on his blog, because I asked him some very pertinent questions, very politely, indeed, he even deleted my question.
Haris, you had a better head, when you were a practicing lawyer, now that you are a self appointed activist, your idle mind has become the devil’s playground, YES, IT IS THAT OBVIOUS.

John, I do know Haris, however, today, now, he is not that Haris that I knew. And for your information, I do not have to know Haris, I only have to know, what he is doing now, to hurt a cause which I feel he has misguided himself, for reasons only he knows best, and which he has a choice to accept, or not.
Haris, actually, I think that it is you that has to apologise to us, and if not, then you should just shut up.

Perhaps the biggest problem for Dr.M is his pride.
It would be good if he takes personal responsibilities for all his wrongs.
But at 92 and with the end coming, I would rather he is re-directed to the right course, which is the downfall of BN. Then I put faith in PH’s system of check and balance that will not allow the possibilities of him going crazy after being PM for the second time.
As of now, there is no evidence that if PH win and Dr.M is PM again will led to him being a dictator. He will not be as powerful as he was and things will slowly move towards the direction we hope for.
Let’s secure victory for PH then we all can whacked them till kingdom come. Then we can scream for accountability.
As long as BN is in power, how has anyone’s screaming works. They are getting worse and worse, bull-dosing laws after laws to restrict more freedom. After the national security law, now anti-fake news law. All designed to make our screaming of no relevance.

Those who insist that this old man must openly acknowledge his past wrong doings don”t seems to see that he is now putting his life on the line trying to save this country.Imagine a 93 years old man who has numerous heart surgery moving from place to place giving ceramah until late at night and what we do to try to bring about a change to a better government, nothing but just complain.
Why he is not doing what has been demanded is beyond our understanding, pride? ego ? i don’t think we can be sure, but if DSAI and all his family members who has suffered the most because of his action can forgive him and not asking for an open apology and acknowledgement of his wrong, why can’t we? what is more important ? Tun’s apology or saving this country from imminent ruin.
