His Royal Highness the Regent of Perak, Raja Nazrin :
Malaysians of all races and religions need to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have a place under the Malaysian sun.
Take personal ownership over the well-being of the country.
Do not succumb to indifference and apathy. Hold on to your ideals. Do not give way to cynicism and opportunism. Believe that you can make a difference.
Choose leaders who were earnest in building unity and did not resort to religious or ethnic posturing to further their careers.
Raja Nazrin suggested three ways for sustained and effecive nation-building.
First, uphold the Constitution.
Second, put in place economic and social justice.
Third, good governance and a thriving civil society.
This reads to me like a royal blueprint for a Bangsa Malaysia.
I have a good feel about this.
Let’s try to build on this.
Could we start with a not-so-royal blueprint?
Mob1900 has very kindly designed a ‘Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia’ badge, banner and poster. And he has given the green light for their use by all.
Thanks Mob. See you at the Merdeka get-together?
You could help to reach out to others by hosting the badge or banner on your website or blog.
You could send the poster to your friends.
Tell them about this initiative to make this a nation of one people.
Ask them to be a part of it.

From “Empowering Women in Malaysia : The Mission Continues….” (NCWO Publication, 2004)
” So what do we, Malaysians from all walks of life and all creeds, say of our Bapa Merdeka?
” We can say he knew with certainty long before we did that bigotry, a greed for material wealth and power abuse in the political and economic arenas can destroy the moral, social and economic fabric of any nation. We can say with veracity that he stood for the best in each of us; that his going has in no way diminished our lives, for his spirit lives on in every endeavour that is founded on truth, justice, compassion, human rights and democracy. And we can say that of all the men and women who have filled the pages of Malaysian history, the Tunku most of all possessed that special grace, that gift of majesty encased in humility, that unawareness of his own greatness.
” Men like him are the exception today; yet, once upon a time, they were the rule. Truly, is there no one like the Tunku, our Prince leader, to ever walk this way again? ”
People, I never thought to see such a day, but yes, a Prince leader has come our way again. Thank you, Raja Nazrin.

People,
It’s great! Things are coming together thanks to your efforts. The badge, banner and poster are great. This movement is gathering momentum. The words of Raja Nazrin are inspirational. They capture well our aspirations. Not only am I proud to be an Anak Bangsa Malaysia but also an Anak Bangsa Perak. More importantly, there is yet hope for this country to find its way back the the people who say no to corruption, greed, chauvinism, racism, theocracy, street crime, and yes to freedom of speech, assembly and religion. Thank you all.

Why isn’t he our PM?
Can a Raja be a PM?
If he were to contest for the post am sure he will beat all the BN morons hands down.
Raja Nazrin speak because he have something to say rather than some morons because they have to say something.

someone said this of the late robert kennedy:-
“The hero comes when he is needed.when our belief gets pale and weak, there comes a man out of that need who is shining, and everyone living reflects a little of that light and stores some up against the time when he is gone”
I would like to believe that the light of our beloved Tengku is now being passed on to Raja Nazrin.

thanks you raja nazrin. you are like a shining light in a deep tunnel. your leadership is needed for this country.
your suggested ways for nation building strike me and I believe a lot of silent malaysians as the right route for a united nation. sadly, this is exactly opposite of the manners and attitude of the ruling regime which continues their divide and rule policy and blatant disregard of civility and rule of law.

Is Raja Nazrin joining a political party? He makes a good opposition leader. May bring more credibility to the opposition too.
Or maybe we start Raja Nazrin for PM! His stand appeals to Malaysians in general and I do not see any reason why a royalty cannot be involved in politics. He is after all, a Malaysian.

I am crying.
Every teardrop is for the infliction that has been callously lashed out and calculated to instill fear in this democracy.
My heart its straining now, I mourn for those who have led this fight for freedom and righteousness only to realize those who supported them can no longer be found.
My limbs, they are feeble and paralyzed.
Yet, I cried “Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!”

Although I always believe one can always make a difference, the system that we have all inherited under a “divide and rule regime” makes it extremely difficult although not impossible.

The dilemma we face in Malaysia. We love the country and its people. We have people like Raja Nazrin, who with their infinite wisdom know and say what is right. Yet we have UMNO a gang just like Ali Baba’s who goad you into wanting to leave it all and just go. Really that is possibly the only solution many have found for themselves. But these thieves do control our destiny somewhat.
Haris you also provide the reason and hope for many of us to want to stay and stick ( I used fight first, but some UMNO idiot could decide that that word is inciting, so I replaced it with stick) it out. And yet at the same time you also contribute to the dilemma by the contradiction you pose to what is generally accepted to be the norm. The norm of the UMNO Malay agenda.

I am use the nick Bangsa Malaysia because I am so proud that you Haris and beloved Raja Nazrin has finally given hope to soooo many like-minded people who truly longed for a Malaysia without fear, prejudice and racism. Yes, in the past 50 years politicians and their partners-in-crime have plundered the nation of all its wealth and left the rakyat with crumbs.
The task to build a truly Bangsa Malaysia may appear mammoth but building a critical mass, WE MUST. Let us not be cowed by any religious groups might derail this movement for their own selfish motives and agenda.

I am from Singapore and I was in Malaysia last week. I am from the era of the 50’s and so am well acquianted with the struggle for independence. I am extremely happy to read the voices of sanity espcially that of Raja Nazrin who to my mind is someone in the mould of Tunku and Tun Dr. Ismail, who I have the highest regard for, having read the book “The Reluctant Politician”. If only there are more leaders like him on both sides of the causeway, our countries can lead the Asian economies instead of being bogged down with petty jealousies.
I am also very happy that there are people in Malaysia who dare to voice their opinion, a position which is very different in the little red dot, me included. As the joke goes there is the goddess of mercy, kwan yin and the god of no mercy, kuan yew.
Peace to all and may Malaysia find new leaders who love their country before their pocket.

ya… saya anak bangsa malaysia too ( malaysia-cina )…! that’s what all non-malays in malaysia always dreams of! but the umno say yes we are all bangsa malaysia BUT is a big NO in reality!with the NEP ( No Ending Policy )…… & with the race based party still exist in malaysia, bangsa malaysia it’s just a ‘dream’! y umno will let go NEP? Umno is using NEP to rob the nation wealth legally! rafidah say we malay should be proud of the success of Naza bcos he’s a malay. Naza is a product of NEP! But rafidah, y after 50years of merdeka, NEP can produce satu Naza sahaja? patutnya NEP can produce puluhan Naza kan? y in malaysia after 50years of merdeka, we still talking abt ‘technical know who’ rather than ‘technical know how’ in conducting bznes in malaysia? globalization in making his way…. you like it or not? investers got lots of choices to invest in which countries in Asia. what so special abt malaysia? even malaysia bznesman are investing out of malaysia! petronas is umno cash cow but for how long umno can milk it? 10years or 20years? this ‘cow’ will one day dry off…. habis minyak jual apa lagi to survive? now umno unity is base on money, what will happen if our nation wealth dry off due to umno continuesly robbing the nation till it bankrup! the rakyat will amok & umno akan sampai ke penghujungnya! so b4 it happen, umno pls repent & do good to the nation & your rakyat who voted for you!

——————————————————-
Haris, talking about politician resorting to ethnic posturing, the ex menteri besar with 2M to his name made remarks seen to be inciting worse racial riots than the May 13 incident. Having lived through and totally traumatised by May 13, I strongly feel that this is totally inflammatory, very dangerous and uncceptable made by a two-bit, has-been politician and as Bangsa Malaysia, this politician should be totally condemmed.
My concern is that there may be an attempt to re-create the tensions of May 13 ’69 and 1987. UMNO makes racist statements, MCA reacts, gets everyone agitated, and then govt announces and effects an Ops to deal with the tensions. And the public fall for it, thinking once again that it is best to vote BN for the sake of stability.
We must not allow this to happen

When I first read HRH Raja Nazrin’s address, it sounded so alien. I could not believe what I was reading because for so long we have been fed with lies and half-truths and plain BS that his words seemed like a mirage of water to a man starving in a desert.
I think our politicians got so carried away with the absolute power that they are so used to abusing that they forgot that there is still one more “branch” of government that can still check them. The rulers.
Raja Nazrin speaks with such clarity and sharpness of vision that it cuts across the smog of deceit like a beacon on a foggy night.
May he continue to speak and may the rulers come together to the rescue of the good ship Malaysia before she sinks on the dangerous rocks of corruption, cronyism and inept leadership.

Bangsa Malaysia started off as a dream. After 50 years this dream has become a nightmare. Malaysians now are more divided than 50 years ago. People in Umno knows the law and breaks the law. Pepatah Melayu lama mengatakan harapkan pagar pagar makan padi. Its really heartbreaking for the people who loves Malaysia see the leaders robbing its citizens. The situation now is horrible and ugly is what your childrens will face if this goes on. I am not rebelling but just merely advising.
Aristotle once said that if the law is bad, a just society must break it.
Similarly, if governance in fact turns into oppression, a just society must have the conviction to firstly defy those in governance and then collectively replace those in governance.
Merely advising is insufficient

List of racial discriminations in Malaysia, practiced by government as well as government agencies. This list is an open secret. Best verified by government itself because it got the statistics.
This list is not in the order of importance, that means the first one on the list is not the most important and the last one on the list does not mean least important.
This list is a common knowledge to a lot of Malaysians, especially those non-malays (Chinese, Ibans, Kadazans, Orang Asli, Tamils, etc) who were being racially discriminated.
Figures in this list are estimates only and please take it as a guide only. Government of Malaysia has the most correct figures. Is government of Malaysia too ashamed to publish their racist acts by publishing racial statistics?
This list cover a period of about 50 years since independence (1957).
List of racial discriminations (Malaysia):
(1) Out of all the 5 major banks, only one bank is multi-racial, the rest are controlled by malays
(2) 99% of Petronas directors are malays
(3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese
(4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by malays
(5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be bumis status
(6) 0% of non-malay staffs is legally required in malay companies. But there must be 30% malay staffs in Chinese companies
(7) 5% of all new intake for government army, nurses, polices, is non-malays
(8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), drop from 40% in 1960
(9) 2% is the percentage of non-malay government servants in Putrajaya. But malays make up 98%
(10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960
(11) 95% of government contracts are given to malays
(12) 100% all business licensees are controlled by malay government e.g. Approved Permits, Taxi Permits, etc
(13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice millers
(14) 100 big companies set up, managed and owned by Chinese Malaysians were taken over by government, and later managed by malays since 1970s e.g. MISC, UMBC, UTC, etc
(15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout Malaysia, throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other malay transport companies due to rejection by malay authority to Chinese application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new buses
(16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the reason given
(17) 0 non-malays are allowed to get shop lots in the new Muar bus station (November 2004)
(18) 8000 billion ringgit is the total amount the government channeled to malay pockets through ASB, ASN, MARA, privatisation of government agencies, Tabung Haji etc, through NEP over 34 years period
(19) 48 Chinese primary schools closed down since 1968 – 2000
(20) 144 Indian primary schools closed down since 1968 – 2000
(21) 2637 malay primary schools built since 1968 – 2000
(22) 2.5% is government budget for Chinese primary schools. Indian schools got only 1%, malay schools got 96.5%
(23) While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, a malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible
(24) 10 all public universities vice chancellors are malays
(25) 5% – the government universities lecturers of non-malay origins had been reduced from about 70% in 1965 to only 5% in 2004
(26) Only 5% is given to non-malays for government scholarships over 40 years
(27) 0 Chinese or Indians were sent to Japan and Korea under “Look East Policy”
(28) 128 STPM Chinese top students could not get into the course that they aspired e.g. Medicine (in 2004)
(29) 10% place for non-bumi students for MARA science schools beginning from year 2003, but only 7% are filled. Before that it was 100% malays
(30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the National Service program in 2003
(31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% in 1957
(32) 7% is the present Malaysian Indians population (2004), a drop from 12% in 1957
(33) 2 million Chinese Malaysians had emigrated to overseas since 40 years ago
(34) 0.5 million Indian Malaysians had emigrated to overseas
(35) 3 million Indonesians had migrated into Malaysia and became Malaysian citizens with bumis status
(36) 600000 are the Chinese and Indian Malaysians with red IC and were rejected repeatedly when applying for citizenship for 40 years. Perhaps 60% of them had already passed away due to old age. This shows racism of how easily Indonesians got their citizenship compare with the Chinese and Indians
(37) 5% – 15% discount for a malay to buy a house, regardless whether the malay is poor or rich
(38) 2% is what Chinese new villages get compare with 98% of what malay villages got for rural development budget
(39) 50 road names (at least) had been changed from Chinese names to other names
(40) 1 Dewan Gan Boon Leong (in Malacca) was altered to other name (e.g. Dewan Serbaguna or sort) when it was being officially used for a few days. Government try to shun Chinese names. This racism happened in around year 2000 or sort
(41) 0 churches/temples were built for each housing estate. But every housing estate got at least one mosque/surau built
(42) 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970. No churches, no temples are required to be built in housing estates
(43) 1 Catholic church in Shah Alam took 20 years to apply to be constructed. But told by malay authority that it must look like a factory and not look like a church. Still not yet approved in 2004
(44) 1 publishing of Bible in Iban language banned (in 2002)
(45) 0 of the government TV stations (RTM1, RTM2, TV3) are directors of non-malay origins
(46) 30 government produced TV dramas and films always showed that the bad guys had Chinese face, and the good guys had malay face. You can check it out since 1970s. Recent years, this tendency becomes less
(47) 10 times, at least, malays (especially Umno) had threatened to massacre the Chinese Malaysians using May 13 since 1969
(48) 20 constituencies won by DAP would not get funds from the government to develop. Or these Chinese majority constituencies would be the last to be developed
(49) 100 constituencies (parliaments and states) had been racistly re-delineated so Chinese voters were diluted that Chinese candidates, particularly DAP candidates lost in election since 1970s
(50) Only 3 out of 12 human rights items are ratified by Malaysia government since 1960
(51) 0 – elimination of all forms of racial discrimination (UN Human Rights) is not ratified by Malaysia government since 1960s
(52) 20 reported cases whereby malay ambulance attendances treated Chinese patients inhumanely, and malay government hospital staffs purposely delay attending to Chinese patients in 2003. Unreported cases may be 200
(53) 50 cases each year whereby Chinese, especially Chinese youths being beaten up by malay youths in public places. We may check at police reports provided the police took the report, otherwise there will be no record
(54) 20 cases every year whereby Chinese drivers who accidentally knocked down malays were seriously assaulted or killed by malays
(55) 12% is what ASB/ASN got per annum while banks fixed deposit is only about 3.5% per annum
There are hundreds more racial discriminations in Malaysia to add to this list of “colossal” racism. It is hope that the victims of racism will write in to expose racism.
Malaysia government should publish statistics showing how much malays had benefited from the “special rights” of malays and at the same time tell the statistics of how much other minority races are being discriminated.
Hence, the responsibility lies in the Malaysia government itself to publish unadulterated statistics of racial discrimination.
If the Malaysia government hides the statistics above, then there must be some evil doings, immoral doings, shameful doings and sinful doings, like the Nazi, going on onto the non-malays of Malaysia.
Civilized nation, unlike evil Nazi, must publish statistics to show its treatment on its minority races. This is what Malaysia must publish……….
We are asking for the publication of the statistics showing how “implementation of special rights of malays” had inflicted colossal racial discrimination onto non-malays.

the development of bangsa Malaysia is idealistic. we have to be more positive in developing the union among races. I can see a lot of hope from the youth to see this country can do better from what we have been achive before. i am a student of uitm, basically consist of malays and bumiputera. In uitm, we are told to protect our rights as the bumiputera, but in the same time we have to respect other people’s right. that is how bangsa malaysia can be formed.

I got a question? How long do you guys think it would take our beloved country to evolve into a just society without any race based laws or politics?I mean I do not want my kids to grow up knowing they can not be a prime minister, getting the scholarship or the equal opportunity
purely based on his or her ability.Don’t get me wrong,I am all for special privileges for individuals with very low income but not based on race.I love my country and I think we are just getting more and more polarized.I do not want to wait for another 20 years for things to get better.Life is short and I want justice and good life now.
As long as it would take the silent majority to get out of their own private comfort zone and stand up to the racist politicians.

I appeal to all to keep this Princely Call To Nation-Building alive:
Time to Walk The Talk,
time to stop the blame,
time to stop the rot,
time to rebuild the nation.
For our future and our children’s future
for We are all ONE.
When One is harmed, all are harmed.
When One is helped, all are healed.
Time to show we care
Time to literally Walk the Talk
Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia!
Time to stand up and be counted.
“How?,” you may ask.
“I just small fry (ikan bilis) lah”, in frustration you add.
Bravely you declare…
“Never mind the water cannons,
it’s monsoon season anyway!”
But on second thoughts, you cry…
“Tear gas I scared; I get beaten up how?”
“I still have parents depending on me!”
“Gotta think of my children!”;
“Gotta put food on the table!”
OK, OK, i hear you.
Here’s something you CAN DO…
Wear a yellow T-shirt every Saturday
Your entire family members too
Show your solidarity;
“Saya Anak Malaysia”; “Malaysia Truly Asia”
Demonstrated and expressed by you and me
The simple folks on the street.
In the park, shopping mall or wet market
When you see another in yellow
Don’t be shy; smile, nod your head,
Bersalam, our Malaysian custom
– by placing your palms to your chest
or just one palm, Salam means peace.
Wear a yellow T-shirt every Saturday
Till our nation is back on its feet.

Can we change one’s race or color (only Michael Jackson can- bleaching)? Bangsa means race, right? What about Nationality, can we change it? unless you emigrate and give up one’s citizenship. Can we not remain to be our own race and a Malaysian? Just like the black and white Americans.Color difference but status is the same.We can be different colors (modern times called it race)but can still be very Malaysian and must have same status, no discrimination or double standard. Malaysia is a rainbow nation. God created us different to make the world more colorful and interesting but human beings created trouble out of the rainbow. Can you imagine all of us are dark skin or all of us are fair skin?Fancy that.Propagate: Many colors, One Status.(not different colors or race. we are not different/alien, we are the same, we are Malaysians status).

Even as Sejarah Melayu stated that Singapore or Singapura founded by malay at the the early stages, but unfortunately..well its really gone when u check their schoolbook history now.
How the hell that happen, but quite nice though..u come to one one country as an immigrant, then getting ID, rights to vote, right to speak your mother tounge, right to make tons of money than of all sudden..the land that you just landed 300 years ago belong to you…under the name of malaysia!! quite conduse though..but its really nicely done..CONGRATULATION for misleading me to know, who the hell is MALAY!! 🙂

Just came to yr site.Well, I guess we should all stand tall to be proud Malaysians. We are just simply the unique nation throughout the entire world. Everyone can just say out what they want to say: ONE NATION ONE DREAM: WE SHOULD BE PROUD TO BE MALAYSIANS.
But alas, there are still people with different ideology, different perspective towards life and future of our children.
What’s going to happen to our children’s future if there are still not polished up to take over our old ministers? Give these youngsters a chance while we are still around to assist them and get the best out of them. Let’s us all stop all the rubbish that have been laid infront of them. The Parliament Life Show is a BAD EXAMPLE FOR OUR YOUNGSTERS.Truly, anybody can say how bad the impact is on them.Even my son switches to another channel ” They haven’t GROWN UP YET . HOW DO THEY GOT SELECTED TO BE OUR REPRESENTATIVE, I WONDER?, said my son”. He’s in Form 4.true disgraceful.MERDEKA??

Make this into pins to be distributed for everyone to wear just like the pink ribbon for AIDs. Any one who’ll volunteer to do this? We can start a fund rolling to finance this.

We were in Malaysia during the Merdeka festivities — enjoyed it immensely. We make it a point to visit Malaysia every other year. To us, it’s almost a second home after our 4-year sojourn in KL.
Kudos to you all!

Dear All,
Let me share these thoughts which are only the Tip of the Iceberg !
I would rather light the candle then to curse the darkness !
” I never give them Hell, I just tell the ‘truth’, and they think it is Hell !
( N.B. There is such a thing called ‘there is no absolute truth in this world’ )
My one & only ambition in this world………..is to pass a ‘message’ before ” I ” quit.
Just to give you a clue !
Who or what is the number one destroyer of Mankind ?
I am indeed very very shocked to see that Man does not realize this and
therefore there is no wonder why ” History is repeating itself ”
We started the Second World War saying that the
First World War was incomplete.
Now WE ( the Earthlings ) are saying that even the
Second World War wasn’t complete and therefore time to start the Third World War !
It must be a new and clear ( nuclear ! ) war.
IF MANKIND DOES NOT PUT AN END TO WARS, THEN WE HAVE NO CHOICE SIMPLY BECAUSE THE WARS WILL PUT AN END TO MANKIND ! You see we are that ‘clever’ now !
( We are seeking a COMMON DENOMINATION here )
If we ( the Human Beings ) do not know who is our number one enemy,
how can we ever solve our earthly problems !
Meanwhile, who is an enemy ?
An enemy is someone whose side of the story you do not know !
Well, if you know his side of the story, then you don’t see the ‘enemy’
Ultimately, you see yourself in him too! He is just a replica of ‘you’
If the ‘ I ‘ and ‘ you ‘ merge, then you will see the …….G O D
……………….. the ultimate.
I have actually done a 40 year research on this topic and also presented
he
my findings to Dato Prof. Dr.X ( Dean ) of the Veterinary Science Faculty of UPM.
My research title is ” GOD CREATED MAN, MAN IS IN A BLOODY MESS, WHY”
I came across some astounding discoveries, including the one which says……….
the topic itself is wrong !
‘ I ‘ am a strange human being on this Planet called Earth.
My thinking is very very clear….In our lives, no human being is clever and no human
being is stupid either. There are reasons behind all these ( We are governed by the LAWS of KARMA)
My intentions ( Niat ) are very clear. ‘ I ‘ don’t intend to hurt another being.
Its just that ‘ I ” believe in enlightening the others around me.
Even at this juncture, my intention is not to influence the reader….but just to
create the “ Ha ha, ha ha…. ! ”
NO MAN OR WOMEN IS WORTH YOUR TEARS
AND THE ONE WHO IS WILL NOT MAKE YOU CRY
( the ” I ” here is only an instrument or a gadget ( e.g. a radio or TV )
No one thanks a radio or a TV for passing a wonderful message !
There is so much of madness around us.
Let there be a method in the madness !
The trouble with we human being is we look at things the way we are.
We seldom look at things the way the things are.
The aim of the wise is not to secure pleasure, but to avoid pain.
Aristotle
Anyway…. we still need to answer this age old question………
Who or what is the number one destroyer of Mankind ?
” I ” am just waiting to answer thousands of doubts and questions on the above article ! ! !
A BIG Man is someone who makes you a BIGGER Man after seeing him
True civilization begins when one Human Being sees another without a fear.
All divinely guided people should work towards this goal.
Tell the truth and shame the devil
“It is better to sit alone than in company with the bad; and it is,
better still to sit with the good than alone.
It is better to speak to a seeker of knowledge than to remain silent;
but silence is better than idle words.” (Bukhari)
GOD BLESS
