All Malaysians.

Y’know, sometimes I don’t understand why it is that MCA is so bent on ‘championing’ Chinese rights, like as if that’s the most noble thing to do.
They want Chinese support. So technically, it means that they’re only looking to getting about 30% of Malaysia’s population to support them.
Not a very high target.
And not very achievable too, since as long as they’re still ‘championing Chinese rights’ and looking for ‘Chinese support’, I’m afraid they’re not going to get it from my family.

How true is the saying, “You may be highly educated but you are not wise”. Another way of putting it is – These are simply slow learners. No wonder they still stick to BN like glue because they share the same culture – one that assumes that by just handing out goodies just before an election (like what one MVA leader did at Permatang Pauh) will get them the votes and support. This culture is obsolete. They never learn!!
If these people continue doing what they have been doing, they can only DREAM of winning back support. I bet the last ringgit in my pocket that they’ll even lose their pants come the next election.

After 51 years and 51 TIMES Merdeka celebrations, we still have to talk about Malay, Chinese, Indians and others but in Sabah, they call themselves Sabahan and in Sarawak, they call themselves Sarawakian.
What’s wrong with we people in peninsular Malaysia? We have to call ourselves Malays, Chinese, Indians etc day-in-day-out.
Are we going to stay divided by race because Be eNd say so?
With the result of the March 8 general election, the people have spoken. We want to be Malaysian, not Malay, Chinese or Siamese, Eurasian etc.
If Be eNd wants to continue to be divided, it is up to their party members but the rakyat need not have to listen and obey the Be eNd, we have an alternative now that is willing to be united (so far so good) with parties PK,DAP and PAS and they can welcome MCA,MIC,Gerakan, PPP and the rest of the parties from Sabah and Sarawak.
If UMNO wants to be a racist party, leave alone. Let them to fight among themselves and tear themselves a part(as it is now, they even want to overthrow their leader, ISA does not apply here, cos it is internal affairs. Money politics is allowed and highly encourage) while the rest of us Malaysians can go on with daily life and work towards a better and prosperous future for all Malaysians and live together happily ever after. Forget UMNO, Forget Be eNd.

A friend of mine who is a Caucasian asked me a while back why is that Asians like to take advantage of other Asians?
Confused by his question, he explained. As a mortgage sales, he was baffled how his Asians customers, usually the ones who couldn’t speak much English, consistently received quotes from Asian sales that were 2 or 3 points higher than what he offered.
I said maybe there is a premium on being able to speak the language. He said the premium is actually on trust, not on culture or language.
I think people need to realize that just because the person is of the same race, this person doesn’t necessary will be on your side. Not only that, this person might even abuse your trust. Just look at UMNO, MCA and MIC.
So the moral of the story is best not to look at things from the racial perspective. There is really no reason why a voter should vote based on race, creed, color, etc. Same goes with other things in life.

Haris,
This neanderthal belonging to the dinasaur era speaks like the dinasaurs who surely would not have believed that smaller creatures would replace them soon enough.
He does not realise that the moment BN falls and PR takes over, the financial support systems that support MCA and gives them the clout will very quickly dissipate. We all know the Chinese. Very pragmatic and very practical. The Chinese business men will know not to hang around MCA any longer and waste good money on nothing. And how is MCA going to continue delivering the kind of services Michael Chong is renowned for?
The BN formulae has been good for the leaders of each of these racist component parties. Upon collapse of the BN government it will be a myth for these racist parties to continue claiming to be the representatives of their respective races. They will for a start try to join PR as a party. This is something we must not allow. We cannot allow anyone claiming to champion any particular race become a component part of PR. If they are unable to represent a fellow Malaysian in need I cannot imagine them to be of any use to anyone.

Yes, Haris. That heading/saying is wise indeed.
Much in the same vein as that other wise one that says “you can take the (hu)man out of the bog but not the bog out of the (hu)man”.
And on the article by OKT in Malaysiakini on 20/9:
“We will continue championing Chinese causes and I am confident MCA will get back Chinese support in time to come,” he said.
Yes, that…er….narrow vision….clearly says it all doesn’t it? I thought we were all aaBMs since 1957 and interested only in ensuring that ALL Malaysians get the good freedoms and rights that ALL of them are justly and equally entitled to, ethnicity being irrelevant.
Sorry to be thick of course, but did I miss something vitally important here?
Are we not all Malaysians in MALAYSIA and all Chinese in CHINA? And all Indians in INDIA. Or all Australians in AUSTRALIA, all Americans in the USA and all British in the UK……??
If Haris agrees to publish this(if so, thanks):
Can someone kindly please enlighten me if I am using bog-logic and so am WRONG in my reasoning and understanding of this important point here? Perhaps someone from MCA could oblige? Or MIC or even UMNO perhaps? And thanks in advance.

MCA will like UMNO forever be a racist party. How can we expect them to change when the whole basis for their existence is in championing one race. Read this excerpt from Malaysia Insider:

It shows that MCA has never learnt it’s lesson from PRU 12. Malaysians have already rejected racial based parties. Even PAS has changed by opening it’s membership through PAS Supporters Club. BN and it’s component parties are racial and we had enough of divide and rule policy advocated for the past 51 years. MCA is still clinging to their old rhetoric of fighting for the welfare of Chinese only. Please read the feelings of the grass root Chinese who wants all to think as Malaysians and whoever or whatever race he comes from, he will think, act and champion for Malaysian irrespective of race or religion.

You are right haris. You can’t take the BN or rather UMNO out of MCA. Ong Ka Ting embraces UMNO culture by speaking like a frog under a tempurung, unaware, or perhaps like his UMNO bosses, don’t care two hoots about the 21st century era of globalization. Let Ong Ka Ting continue to speak through his arse and let the Chinese reject MCA and him in even greater numbers. Even young Chinese children who have yet to go to school will be able to tell you that Anwar and PR fight more for Chinese rights within the context of Ketuanan Rakyat than ONg Ka Ting and MCA can ever do so for them under context of UMNO’s racial politics. If Ong Ka Ting got any maruah left, he should pull MCA out of BN and let UMNO continue to remain under its tempurung.

MCA wants Chinese support only for their survival. Without Chinese support, they are good as dead and Umno will kick them out. Why would BN want they if they cannot get Chinese support. That’s why it’s important that they get back Chinese support. But the Chinese are aware that top MCA leaders have gotten rich at the expense of the Chinese community. If the Chinese community rejects MCA, most of the senior leaders in the party will not be given high ministerial posts, and hence they will not be able to enrich themselves further. MCA is never concerned about the community’s problems, and never will, simply because Umno won’t let them.
So people, reject MCA and they will die. Then only they will experience the discrimmination we suffer.

It is no point screaming UMNO as racist. UMNO did not become racist by its own volition. As far as the MCA & MIC geeks keep harping about championing the rghts of their respective races, UMNO will remain racist and the top leaders of MCA & MIC will keep filling up their pockets. But, as and when the non malays take the racial equation out of the game, UMNO will have nothing to fight about. In this context PKR makes a lot of sense, does it not?

What does it take to make OKT sit up to notice that there are not many Chinese Malaysians who need the support of MCA. My family for one. Let’s put it in a logical sense – we need to know from OKT whether he is a Malaysian first, Malaysian last; or Malaysian first Chinese last or Chinese first Malaysian last. If this is a dilemma for him, than he should know the fact that the term “Chinese” stands for either someone who was born in China or someone who is a national of China. So if this is the case, then how could he be called a Chinese when he is a Malaysian? If he claims that he is a Chinese supporting the Chinese in Malaysia, then he is proving Ahmad Ismail’s definition of “squatter” correct. So OKT, you and your merry men and women in MCA, make up your mind. Are you Chinese or are you Malaysian? There is no 2-way about it.

“… I am confident MCA will get back Chinese support in time to come” – Ong Ka Ting as reported in Malaysiakini.
You know Samivellu also said the same thing before election that BN pasti menang 100%. Let’s take a bet, Ong Ka Ting, will you and your ‘cohorts’ shut up once and for all, if you don’t?

Matt, what I was being told by my lecturer few years ago was that:
mca = money conquers all
mic = may i come
umno = you must not object
I just read from the Chinese mag “Weekly Special” that Lim Keng Yeik has admitted that Gerakan is game over. Though I’m a Chinese, I won’t buy what did OKT or mca say, after all it’s just another wayang kulit, let’s see when is the doomsday for mca.

Enough with pretending to champion my race, in order to get rich the dirty way, ala licking the anus of the UMNO monkeys. We are sick and tired of being branded Chinese, and then only Malaysian, when we should be Malaysian, period.

Hi Haris,
Can those Chinese make a report that MCA is illegally
representing All the Chinese as they do not get the majority approval. Can MCA be sued?

Thank you Haris, for being generous.
I sometimes despair that even though we are now living in the 21st century, the mindsets of some of the Malaysian politicians, who are meant to lead the country and lead the people into real progress, are still like that of the maggots that must have infested medieval gutters.
Yesterday it was MCA’s OKT talking about “Chinese rights”. Today it’s MCA’s SV who in a Malaysiakini article said that he: “…urged the government to release the five Hindraf leaders who were detained under the ISA last December as they no longer pose a threat to the national security”.
By that I assume that SV believes that the Hindraf 5…er….deserved being arrested under the ISA in the first place and secondly, like a sore thumb that stuck out, he seems to have completely forgotten to also ask for the release of the other 60-odd Malaysian detainees, most likely also innocent, who are also still locked-up under the despicable ISA.
Why does SV, who holds himself out to be “political leader” do something pointedly stupid like that? And worse, now, six months after the seismic change on 8 March? Does he (still) not see/understand anything, let alone the prime concept of jus soli nationality?
Or even that of the common denominator concept of basic humanity, which as SV appears to give the impression of being a “pious temple-goer”, I assume he knows as being a fundamental teaching of Hinduism, in common with other great sacred religions. I would think most of us who follow any religion or believe in God know by now that God is…er…definitely not a politician. And, if God is who God is said to be by all these great sacred religions, than I’m guessing, maybe blasphemously but nevertheless, that God is not into nepotism, favouritism nor into offering any preferential treatment to any of God’s children for taking whichever path, religious or otherwise, that they may wish to take freely using the free-will God gave them for their journeys back to God, or…er….to the Devil if they so wished/chose.
So it is somewhat depressing to see that a supposedly (educated?) Malaysian political “leader” and Government Minister for nearly fifty years seems to care, at best, so narrowly and only about Indians, whether they be in Malaysia or India or Africa, America, Europe or the planet XYZ, and at worst (which is the more likely of the two I suspect) only about himself and possibly, his personal family and their gilded rice-bowls.
Maybe someone should go tell SV/MIC about the dinosaurs and what happened to them, even the mighty T Rex!

They have not wake up, but that’s the only game they can play, just like Umno trying to defend malay right, there are many people can defend malay right, not necesssary umno, Pas can, Keadilan can.
Everytime I read news like this, i really wanted to wormit

I joined mca in earlier 80’s with the disire to help my community who use to face numerous problems with the authorities, such as cueing up to buy a stamp to post a letter to a relative in China also got scolded just because the poor man could not speak BM well. I experienced this in front of my eyes. Ever since I joined the party I never paid my yearly membership fees because I was told somebody has paid and I do not know who the generous fellow. Similarly, except of receiving my membership card signed by Wang Choon Wing, the party organising sectretary at that time, I do not received any letter or notice regarding the party election or anything that a member should received. When I enquired from the party HQ, I was told I am a party member with the membership number BG_ _ _ _. How come I am still a member when I did not pay up my membership fees and did not receive anything that a member should received. So I can be considered a phantom member, an issue the party top leadership use to fight about. Anyway I do not bother anymore whether I am a member of the party because I do not believe the party is fighting for the people but for their own, family and cronies sellfish aims. Even if I send a notice of termination of my membership I believe the party does not bother to entertain because a ‘small fish’ like me does give any significant to them.
Once I wrote a letter to OKT (posted AR) to voice my opinion on a certain government policy which I think is discriminating. Sad to mention, I did not even get an acknowledgement from him that he have received the letter. So this is the leader of the Chinese community who asking the community to support the party, meaning him and his cronies and declaring that they are the protector and championing Chinese rights, bullshits! Protect and championing your own right should be more accurate. Very slim hope the party to get the support from the people especially the Chinese. Those who still stay put are those who have received plenty of discrimanting benefits from the leadership or those who fight for their own benefit. One may ask, I might be like that if I received such benefit? I do not think so, because if I were such I would have been living very comfortably now with plenty of benefit for myself, my family members not to mention plenty of cheap land bought. Mca is just like kura-kura, ‘menikus’ and cockroach in its approach. Better close shop because there is another party who all the while has fight for the justice of all Malaysians and its leaders do not behave like you all.

finally!!!!…if PR stands by its manifesto to deliver a Malaysia for Malaysians (and vice versa)…this will mean the end of racial politics in our homeland!!!
there is no room for UMNO or MCA or MIC…there is no need…as the government has a mandate to be equal and fair to all races…
even the opposition will have no need to fight on racial grounds…
wouldnt that be wonderful?
as fellow Malaysians…we fight for our common rights…not racial rights…
as fellow Malaysians we credit those who contribute and not just by the colour of their skin…the sounding of their name…their professed religious beliefs…their ‘standing and heirachy’ of birth…their family ‘connections’…or their ‘favours in return’…
each and everyone of us have an equal chance of doing our bit for our nation…our families and finally…for ourselves…(note the sequence!!!)
call me a romantic or idealistic…but i would love to come back to a Malaysia where we care for one another…shedding the ‘one up-manship attitude’ of succeeding at the expense of the other…
why? why? why? there is so much to share…(now that the parasites r no longer there to suck the resources dry)
good riddance to racial parties…
good riddance to nepotistic practices…
welcome a truly caring and nurturing nation…where we all have a stake in the future of the motherland…
is it a only a dream?
i dare to dream!!!
