Zorro, Delcapo, Sky and I made it through immigration in Kuching this afternoon.
We’re here to hook up with other bloggers in Sarawak to see how bloggers can contribute towards the effort to take Batang Ai back from lying, cheating politicians and entrust the seat to an honest representative who will have the intere of the people at heart.
We’d like to hear from those of you in Sarawak if you have any ideas as to how we can outreach to the 8,006 registered voters in Batang Ai with a simple message : take back Sarawak from corrupt politicians and return the state to her people.
And this starts with Batang Ai.
If you want to share your thoughts with the team here, send an e-mail to thepeoplesparliament@gmail.com or to abmforbatangai@gmail.com

Chain letters could do the trick.
of course, got to put the issues into simple layman’s language and keep the articles short, so can be easily distributed and quickly digested.
And nothing beats an itinerary preacher…someone has GOT to do the legwork!

For a start why not take photos around Batang Ai Long Houses, infrastructurs etc and compare with the houses and mansions owned by the ministers in Kuching

Now is the time for the people of sarawak to free themselves of the yoke of the tyrannical, crooked, bigoted, corrupt Taib government. Sarawak has been turned into a fiefdom of taib and his family. Sarawak must rise. Sarawak must tell these bastards enough is enough. We chased out the corrupt Toyo in Selangor, we can do it again in Sarawak.

Harris, a wise decision to campaign in Batang Ai instead of the Peninsula. Of the 3 by-elections, this is the most dicey. Is RPK going there as well?
Sarawak is rife with money politics. Please tell the voters to take what is offered to them (after all it’s tax payers’ money) but VOTE FOR PKR, for their future.
Best of luck and let’s all hope PR wins all 3 by-elections to deliver a slap to the incoming PM.

and i have an idea. i think we can’t oppose him directly as he will use all the government agencies to frame us, the simpliest way, ISA. why don’t we use the hindraf tactic? you know to attack a dummy and let it rebound and hit him hard on his face!!!
in this case, let’s launch a campaign “boycott France!!!” as the France newspaper which reported on the altantuya case has badly tarnished our country image at the international level!!! make it a big huha!!! invite all the international medias during the launching!!!
under the name of protect the country integrity and image, we urge the france to apologize or to show proof. and the government can’t do anything to us but to co-operate and to clear our country image.
do you think it can work?…”

Dear Harris & Gang,
Your unhindered passage through the Immigration Checkpoint (remember R. Sivarasah and another PKR ADUN were barred?) could be a possibility that your presence in campaigning for PR at the Batang Ai by-election poses smidgen to zero threats to BN.
A friend showed me in a local daily a couple of days back that a couple of PKR/PR canvassers were chased- out from a longhouse upon introducing themselves as from the opposition parties.
The Batang-Ai folks have no internet access and will blogging helps? I doubt, let alone many of them couldn’t understand average English, many illiterate.
Only tangible presence by those who can speak in their dialects may helps but I guess money splattered by the BN agents helps securing more votes.
I am not trying to infer anything here nor discourage you and your reputable gangs from making your rounds there, but I am in high opinion that it hardly works.
Anyway, all the best and God Bless you and keep you all safe and your good entourage.

dear harris,
a suggestion
post an appeal on ure blog for all sarawakians who is in peninsula or kl specifically to call home on tell their relatives esp at batang ai on the corruption of the gov here and in sarawak. Hearing from from their own relatives, sons, uncles etc will carry the message through. Old school perhaps but very effective due to low internet availablity there.

Bro
The power of the internet it just amazing, at the March 8th Elections, some of us intiated a campaign for Prof Rama on the internet, and when we met on a stormy night ankle deep in flood waters at Prai, we were simply astonished when we met people holding the very same letters we posted on line.
We Thank God that the bloggers are there in full support, so to a Better Malaysia we all look foward to.
Our Families, Our Next Generations and ourselves are deeply indebted to people such as yourselves who are tirelessly and selflessly striving for this Country.
Our Thanks and Prayers are with you.
God Bless

The dayakbaru “forward team” is already up rivers while the key support members are coming on 28th – for lack of money lah.
We are happy to work with you – and we are dayak Iban too.
Our goal – stop the Sarawak BN robbers and respect the rights of the Dayak.
