Tried to get into Malaysiakini and could not. Got into Malaysianinsider and Staronline with relative ease.
“Can they do this on the quiet?”, I asked.
“Where have you been? Of course they can, you dumbass lawyer!”.
Tried again and this time, managed to get into both M-Today and M’kini, but it took an awfully long time. Again, got into Malaysianinsider and Staronline almoost instantaneously.

Yesterday was mostly blocked from getting into MT. But later in the night it was o.k. And right now o.k too. So whatever it was they were doing was not so much blocking it coming into the country, because it sure as hell affected my access too.

Initially the government did block MT but that was easily by-pass. After you have by-passed the malaysian government block the MT server itself was having problem. The proxy server guaarding MT was blocking ALL requests. Either the server was hacked or MT itself was doing it, for its own reason.

To access Malaysia Today, go any any proxy server (like http://www.bypassthat.com ) , then key in mt.m2day.org/2008 and you will be able to get in, but a bit slower. There are many more proxy servers that yo ucan use by doing a serch on google.

Silencing Malaysia Today is nothing new in Malaysia! It has always been the norm to silence the messenger rather than to go after the perpetrator.
Past precedents have been set! Remember the CM of Melaka v. Lim Guan Eng case? Remember Suqiu? Remember Ahmad Ismail v. Tan Cheng Hoon case? All these cases goes to show that the BN government is not interested in getting to the bottom of things by going after the perpetrators but put up a show by attacking the “informers”! It is no wonder they are after Malaysia Today now, while neglecting to go after the makers of those documents!

hey guys, i have no problem getting into RPK’s website, use a proxy, its very easy.
For those using Firefox, go get Proxy Toolbar,an add on extension which you can download from Mozilla or any other proxy add on tool.
Then do a google search for free alive proxy like aliveproxy.com or some other free proxies available on the net.Key in the proxy IP into the toolbar to use them and voila! You will be able to access RPK’s website. No problem at all. Try it.
