I got to know Patrick Wong through RPK.
Although I did not have the chance to get to know him really well, I knew enough to know that he was a staunch supporter of the numerous efforts to bring about the necessary changes in our country in the hope that, one day, we would truly be a free people.
I received the sad news that in the early hours of this morning, intruders entered Patrick’s home and inflicted such horrific injuries that finally proved to be fatal.
Patrick has passed on.
The wake will be held at:

Bukit Bandaraya

The man helped BN to achieve its policies, played by rules written by BN, did not compromise on principle. and STILL become succesful without being a crook. YET he also paid the ultimate price for BN policies.

My heartfelt condolence to Patrick’s family. Patrick Wong have indeed contributed much in helping to improve the standard of the construction industry during his term as the President of Master Builders Association.
As a contractor myself, I admire him for his courage in speaking up against monopolistic and unscrupulously practices in the industry.
Patrick’s untimely death is a reflection of deep seated rot in our country’s security situation under the BN/UMNO gov’t.
We, the common people must stand up and demand that the BN/UMNO gov’t and the IGP be accountable/responsible for this murder of a Malaysian patriot !
RIP bro Patrick.

I am just wondering what our mata-mata are doing these days. If they have been doing their work diligently, this tragic event would not have happened. So, Hishamuddin, what lame excuses are you going to give this time?

If we have lost one true blue Anak Bangsa Malaysia,in the person of Patrick Wong, then the SABM initiative is poorer by one great human being…someone who undoubtedly captured the hearts of all who knew him.
Some of us did not know him, but the face is unmistakable and the moment you saw the photograph, you felt you had come into contact with Datuk Patrick Wong…these are the persons who leave behind a lasting trail.
I think those of us who had carried candles and held our vigils outside of MBPJ would have seen his friendly face which had a ready smile for whoever passed by.
Such is the attraction of good persons….they smile naturally and have you think that you have an extra friend. And then we all know that more often than not, it is ‘the good that die young.’
God bless Patrick Wong’s family, his wife and children and give them enough courage to sustain their sorrow, with the help of friends and relatives.
