August, 2009, they tried to agitate the Hindu community into reacting to a cow head protest in Shah Alam.
Our Hindu brothers and sisters did not fall for it.
January, 2010, arson attacks on churches.
Damn!
Christians also not reacting like with like.
So they decided to ‘do the dirty’ for the Christians.
UMNO / PERKASA or their paid underlings desecrated suraus.
January, 2012, 5 pig heads outside the front entrance of the Masjid Al Falah in Taman Desa Jaya, Johor Bahru. FMT has the report HERE.
And now, at the height of the “Allah” controversy, Chinese Christians distributing Bibles to Muslim students?
In Penang, at that?
“…at about 1.30pm on Jan 17, the individual who lodged the report said while he was in his office and a Malay man had informed him that bibles were being distributed outside SMK Jelutong, Lorong Sekolah.
“The complainant then went to the scene and discovered that it was true. From the information received, three Chinese men and a woman who came in a car were found distributing the bibles randomly to students after the morning school session had ended,” he added.
The complainant, who was given a Bible by one of the students, then lodged a police report at the Jelutong police station” – Penang police chief Abdul Rahim Hanafi in a statement issued two nights ago, and reported by Malaysiakini.
Firstly, I cannot imagine anyone stupid enough to, at the present time, go out in broad daylight to do this, when this controversy is still raging.
And even if you had to do it in broad daylight, surely you’d be careful enough to not be spotted.
I mean, if we were able to ABU the ferry terminal in Labuan in broad daylight without being spotted, surely anyone wanting to carry this distribution exercise would take enough caution too?
Whether you and I and everyone else reading this and in cyberspace believes this, or sees it as an UMNO / PERKASA effort to agitate the Malays, is unimportant.
Why?
First, please see that in the Malaysiakini report, the Penang CPO said that “Investigation papers have been referred to the state deputy prosecutor yesterday and further instructions have been received for the police to complete the probe”.
Presumably, the probe had not as yet been completed then.
And no one has as yet been charged, nor is there anything in the police statement to suggest that the alleged perpetrators have been identified.
Now do you see the mischief in the statement issued by the police?
Why, at this stage of the investigation, mention the ethnicity of the alleged distributors?
Three Chinese men and a woman.
Distributing Bibles to Muslim students.
In Penang.
I’m pretty sure that, in the end, no one will be charged.
This incident, even if it did factually take place, in my honest belief, has, like so many others in the past, been contrived by UMNO and / or PERKASA, not to impact you and I, but those who do not have access to the alternative news.
Courtesy of the police statement issued, Utusan, Berita Harian, RTM and TV3 now have enough fodder to run the story that 4 Chinese Christians were distributing Bibles to Muslim students in Penang.
And guess what?
Unless someone bothers to take the truth as we all know it to the Malay heartlands, many pakcik, makcik and adik-adik out there are going to fall for this.
You really want to see the end of UMNO / BN in Putrajaya post the 13th GE?

We have agent provocateurs everywhere. Majority only notice in Bersih 3.0.
Agent provocateurs really did a good job, peaceful demonstrators got whack and the polis did nothing to protect them because polis is the provocateurs and the perpetrators too.
Polis Raja Di Malaysia is really under paid, they have to do three jobs at one go.

Basic, cowardly tactics, defacing God’s word when they keep crowing about abuse of the word Allah by the Christians,….. old stale dramas.re-acted by spineless no gooders.. …..UMNO/PERKASA lacking ideas for its dirty tricks…you cry wolf too often, it becomes something you don’t get jolted over anymore, you even wonder if it will have the nasty desired effect of making use of the Rakyat’s vulnerability for fear….it’s the will of the Rakyat that is paramount, that they WILL remain, un-phased, courageous against any odds..
Ants, in your pants, UMNO/PERKASA? Go scratch yourselves and re-think.
But right now, we’re witnessing a turning point in our history, when nothing will deter the Rakyat’s hell-bent resolve to put an end to a stinking UMNO regime…in order..to give the Oppostion the mandate to win!!!.

Its premature to say whether there’s 4 donkeys really distributing it or not. After all, there are indeed stupid people around doing stupid things but one thing I know for sure is that it’s silly to cause all this nonsense over the controversy usage of the word ‘Allah’. For 50 odd years, Malaysians had no issue with this word as we all know & understand this word had been used by the Muslims only as to describe their respective god.
All of a sudden lately, the Christians came out from nowhere & claims they can use the word ‘Allah’ to describe their god too. Whether the usage is legitimate or not is not necessary important. What I find cheeky & nasty is that the Christians seems purposely trying to create an issue or controversy with the Muslims over this word. The Malays would describe it as “cari pasal”.
I’m not too sure whether is the word ‘Allah’ that important to the Christians but I’m pretty sure this word is very important to the Muslims as they had been using it evidently since those yesteryears. It’s very stupid & silly for Christians to argue on this word becos it’s obvious to see this word is kinda sacred & important to the local Muslims. I wonder are the Christians running out of word to use or what? Come on….let’s grow up & prioritize PEACE!!!

TOKZ, you said “… For 50 odd years, Malaysians had no issue with this word as we all know & understand this word had been used by the Muslims only as to describe their respective god.
Please get your facts and perspectives correct. For more than 50 years, the BM-speaking East Msian natives who profess the Christian faith have been using “Allah” in their religious practices – and it was NEVER AN ISSUE UNTIL those such as Ibrahim Ali began to “cari pasal” and had the notion that the continued usage of this term would confuse their own kind. They have created this mindless controversy in the first place for political mileage and this stems simply from a dysfunctional mindset that assumes they can play God and decree as He does, “contain” God as they see convenient to their worldly terms BUT without any reverential fear for who HE truly is. If indeed there is genuine fear that Muslims may be confused and “led astray”, then please take active steps by all means to develop their spiritual faith and tenacity so that they are strong in their faith and cannot be confused…but without taking the easy way out of such dilemma by imposing their will on others’ faith.
TOKZ, you choose to see Christians as being “cheeky & nasty” to “purposely try(ing) to create an issue” but really, nothing could be further from the truth. I am a Christian and when I stand firm on this issue, its because I see our rights to practice our faith in a peaceable manner meddled with again and again over time and each time in the past we have been long-suffering and practiced temperance in not retaliating. Our non-retaliation or long-suffering behavior does NOT spell fear of others but our commitment to fear and reverence God and His command to remain blameless in His sight while standing up against injustices and any perversion of truth.
So please do not think that we Christians are weak, “cheeky & nasty” or that we “cari pasal”. It would help to recognize the “cause and effects” chain correctly. God bless you.

1) Based on population index, does Malaysia have more Muslims or Christians?…..Muslims
2) Is Malaysia an Islamic country?…..Yes
3) Which religion is the one who were using this word regularly in this country based on history?…..Islam
Since now there’s an issue over this word & it seems this issue just won’t go away, why can’t the Christians take a step back & give way for the simple sake of harmony.
Christians should not be brainwashed by political parties such as Pakatan Rakyat thinking as if they have the rights to this word although no law says they can’t. It’s the objective towards peace which is more important instead of dumb falling into political traps simply becos politicians from one side had been babbling telling us that we do have the every rights to the word.
Let us not be a political tool, ok? Peace is much more important, while, politicians are mere junkies trying to screw us up provocatively.

@TOKZ When God has granted individuals acceptance through sonship of Jesus from verse such as John 3:16, individual Christians came to realize that
“forgiveness is the place where justice and love meets.”
http://katasayang.wordpress.com/category/kata-sayang-kristian/perkasa-saying-i-love-u-to-ibrahim-ali/
With that, as Christians, we realize the most loving thing we could do is to share this realization to even those who hate us. It is regretful that we, as this current generation of Christians, have done so little in sharing this understanding. Furthermore, there is so much harm we Christians have done in spite of the forgiveness being made clear to us. ‘To live is Christ, to die is gain’ is what we are being told in our book of Philippians as Paul shared this realization in the Romans prison. If that is indeed what we Christians cherish, we know we had to share our most cherished literature, in all means.
We Christians know that election and acceptance into heaven comes from God only, the one who addresses Himself to Moses as merely ‘I AM’. So, it is indeed silly for this generation of Christians to insist that the Malay Gospel must use the word Allah. Yet, be it ‘Father God’, or ‘Allah’, we Christians know that the most loving thing we could do is to merely share this realization, and share our love in concrete fashion. The four students have done most the loving act, despite the fact that it looked like it has been a mere act of ‘throwing pearls to swine’. We know not who will accept our most precious realization, but we know we are called to live out that precious realization in the best manner we could, hopefully in more concrete manner than mere sharing of realization.
@TOKZ We Christians must apologize the heartache caused to others in this diverse world. But, we do hope that this diverse world, which include Christianity, is the world we all inherited. One inheritance, we pray that the individuals in the world would not forget is the mere realization the sonship already granted to each one of us by everyone’s God, as we realize “forgiveness is the place where justice and love meets”

your selfishness blinded your judgement
1. please provide the census data
2. bullshit. Malaysia never been an Islamic country. If they did, why should PAS fighting for making Islamic country? – learn your fact
3, the words isnt belong to you alone. the word originally come from Arab. Now you are using history? taking others language and claimed as yours is just plain selfish.
step back and give and take? you did not observe the issues from wider aspect and you simple ask for give and take? i tell you one. East Malaysian had already given up alot of things, culture, ethnicity and more, then now they even need to give up on religion?
East Malaysian live just fine without any problem, why cant other place? even if its sacred for you doesnt justify you have right over the word moreover it is not even your word since the first place.
its not peace that you seek but mere selfish covered by this issues.

For folks in the kampungs (particularly on issues relating however remotely to religion) the best people to convey the ABU message would, in my opinion, be the local imams/religious leaders. Not only would the element of trust be there, these local leaders would quickly be able to sense any shift in the political discourse and then act accordingly. Assuming of course that they are themselves knowledgeable about the issues of the day and are able to counter UMNO/BN political spin.

Haris,
We seem to be missing some basic info like :
– what is the number plate of the car these Bible-distributors were using?
– what kind of car were these people using?
– are there any pics of these people?
– how many Bibles were distributed?
I am suspicious of such claims unless there is something more substantial to go on.
Like you pointed out, it beggars belief to think that anybody would be distributing Bibles to Muslims at this time.
This is, probably, an attempt to drive a wedge between Malaysians of different faiths.

How come Christians are merrily saying, Ahmen at the end of their every prayer, while the Muslims also say Ameen……no objections?. Similarity breeding no contempt, here?.
Aren’t we all time wasters …….instead of engaging our concerns over climate change, we pick on such a distant, silent and unseen Word, called simply and honestly…. God….Amen…

Better to distribute bibles then to distribute pornography or leaflets inciting racial hatred. The Bible teaches one to love even one’s own enemy! How young are these students? 5 year olds who can’t tell the difference between one religion and another and will get seriously confused? Besides, Malaysians don’t like to readla! You think these students will read something as serious as the bible!
