Malaysiakini reports ( hisham_-oppositions-free-education-a-fiction.pdf ) that Kerismudin contends that a free education system as promised by the opposition is definitely ‘not a viable concept’ that would require the government to spend hundreds of millions of ringgit.
Actually, Keris, can, lah.
But first, must love the rakyat.
Because when you really love the rakyat, you will look after the rakyat and won’t go out and abuse the rakyat’s money.
Like to pay RM224.00 for RM32.00 screwdrivers.
Or carelessly allow your sec-gen to act beyond his powers to sign off 11 contracts worth between RM7.99 million and RM74.2 million.
Or buy submarines and jets just to make fat, fat commission of the rakyat’s money.
Or use RM3.8 billion of the rakyat’s money to bail out bungling MCA ministers.
So you see, actually can, lah.
But BN cannot because BN don’t love the rakyat.
BN only loves the rakyat’s property.
When Barisan Rakyat take over, we show you how to do, ok?

Some more, kerismudin, when Barisan Rakyat take over, we make sure history taught in schools is fact and not fiction. You agree or not that if Hang Tuah is a chinese, he still deserves a place in our history books? Also ah, Hang Tuah used the keris but not like you-lah. Why you so like that one? Must use the keris honourably, yes or not?

Bro Haris, you are a good man. A man who dare to speak up for the rakyat unlike some veteran politicians who care for their own interests only.As a fellow Malaysian , I would to take this opportunity to say TERIMA KASIH to you. Your noble action will not go unnoticed as God is watching our every move. Take care and God bless.
malaysiancares,
Just doing what I can.

Aiseh, you are too kind. After they blow away the rakyat’s money, you still want to teach them how to manage the economy and his education ministry. You truly love your fellow Malaysians lah.
Jeff and Tony already do the maths and surely can comprehend the petrol ringgit roller coaster. The free education is just a small fraction of what they can do. Vote Barisan Rakyat for better future. Let’s bury armno and cronies with their past.

as i have written before and i will repeat it here again, this is the cost of monopoly of power which we rakyat willingly surrender to BN time and time again. do we want this additional costs resulting from their follies and fancies? if not then, vote for change, remove BN from power!

I don’t see the practical difficulty. Assume each public university student pays RM10,000 per year (a somewhat extravagant sum, I would think, but consistent with what I understand the fees are), and each public school student pays RM200 in fees per year (again, being extravagant here – I never recall spending more than RM100 in the mandatory fees).
Now, let’s take some more generous figures. Assume 15% of the Malaysian population is presently attending either pre-, primary, or secondary school. Taking an overgenerous estimate of 30 million Malaysians, that works out to 4.5 million school-goers. Further assume that 2% are presently attending public university – that’s 600,000 university students. The bill for public university students would come to RM6 billion. The bill for school students comes to RM900 million, so say that’s RM1 billion. Total is RM7 billion.
Now, this is *in addition* to the RM42 billion we already spend on education per year, both under the education and higher education ministries. These are pretty much all the additional expenses we’d have to cover; maybe we’d need to cover uniforms as well, but other than that, considering the existing system, we’d only have to expand our RM42 billion education budget by RM7 billion. Even if cost-cutting can only slash so much, we’d still not have to spend a great deal extra.
Oh, by the way, someone should get Hisham to quit his post as Minister, since his statement clashes with the official policy of the government. The Prime Minister’s 2008 budget speech states one of its goals as, and I quote: “Free Education For All”.
John,
Study, do well in your exams ( I’m sure you will ) and come back soon. There’s a place for you in Parliament as a calon Barisan Rakyat.
People like you are the hope of the nation

thought he said free education until he was exposed naked that for the free schoole fees of 4.00, parents have to pay for other fees which are many times more.
by the way, kerishamudin, how much is your family members making for the printing of security seals for cigarettes? another monopoly for your family members? vow, i know you really sacrifice for malaysians. thanks, keris.

Dear Haris,
First of all, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for fighting for a better Malaysia.
I think we should come up with a catchy slogan or acronym that sums up our campaign.
Let’s do ‘Stop CCN’ (Corruption, Collusion, Nepotism)
Corruption: closed tender, cronism (vincent tan, tony fernandes), scandals (Port Klang, Bernas), awarding contracts to division cheifs
Collusion: some ranks in the police, SPR, GPMS, media, judiciary, BN voters (?), BN component parties
Nepotism: Scomi contracts, Son-in-law
CCN pretty much summarizes the ills of our nation.
God speed Haris

Don’t forget bailing out the ailing GLCs. Financing Proton and MAS. Once wastage and corruption are eliminated, there’d be much more money lying around.
Maybe we can finally go and help the hardcore poor in the rural areas instead of mounting a pseudo-policy which only propels a certain creed.
