I had said that those planning the Hartal ISA effort would monitor developments today and then revert to you.
We have received certain reliable information today which suggests that we might begin to see a way through the current impasse in trying to resolve the question of who in fact commands the confidence of the majority in Parliament.
That is not to say that the obstacles to Pakatan Rakyat’s route to Putrajaya have all fallen by the wayside.
Far from it.
For that reason, I hope you will understand that I am unable to divulge here details of and the nature of the reliable information that we have received. I wish I could give you more details but I really can’t.
All I can say at this juncture is that earnest efforts are underway to take our hopes of seeing BN toppled at the earliest possible closer to becoming a reality. And these efforts appear to be bearing fruit.
As you might well expect, those who stand to lose the most when PR come to power are still working to undermine those efforts.
We’ve been informed that MPs from Sabah and Sarawak are being hindered in their attempts to book flights to Semenanjung. All kinds of threats are being issued to intimidate these MPs. However, earnest efforts are underway to help those MPs make their way here.
It has also been indicated to us that notwithstanding Pak Lah’s statement that there is no reason for him to resort to the detention and arrest of Anwar, this cannot as yet be totally discounted.
My friends and I feel that, for now, Hartal ISA must still remain in standby mode whilst we continue to monitor ongoing developments flowing from those ongoing efforts.
My friends and I ask you to please be patient, to continue to be ready to move should it become necessary to call Hartal ISA into action, and to continue in your efforts to disseminate information of our possible Hartal ISA effort.
I will try to bring any new developments to your attention as and when I receive information of the same.
By the way, someone in one of their comments yesterday asked if I really believed that Anwar has the requisite numbers to pull this off.
Simply put, yes.
And Pak Lah and UMNO know this too.

Are we doing the right move to change the government? We must remember half of Malaysians did vote for BN. I’m a staunch supporter of Pakatan Rakyat but I believe we need to think through carefully. Are we going to follow Thailand step? Are we going to change government every so often? Are we going to see more protest even if Pakatan Rakyat become the federal government? I’m just worry that we’ll be like Phillipine, Thailand, Indonesia with lots of protest from now on.

I think the planning for Hartal ISA must be laid out now. Provide all the details that one must do comes the day. We can put the date on standby mood but not the detail planning.
Once we have the planning details we can start to spread this Hartal ISA campaign and inform all that the date to act will be forwarded once its confirm.

The way I see it there is nothing PR can do to takeover the present government. Even if PR wins with a 2/3 majority in later GE’s she still cannot form the next government. Only with “DIVINE INTERVENTION” can this happen. In Thailand and Phillipine when the majority people speak it is effective especially in Thailand because the KING is a very brave and very respected Monarch. Moreover are the Malaysians as brave, involved and concerned as the Thais and the Phillipinos?

If we believe in change, then, let us put our faith in Anwar. By questioning him on a fixed date and his ability to topple the govt is just adding pressure on him which is uncalled. Rushing to kill a wounded bull without taking a vital aim for the final kill, may turn out to be unhelpful and dangerous. Bear in mind, to unseat a govt of half a century is not an easy task, so let us be patient and maintain our solidarity.
By putting pressure on this evil BN, organizing Hartal ISA is a right direction to take…adding fuel to a fire, to burn off the dead bushes in a fertile land.

In keeping with the hopes and aspirations of what to me, is obviously the majority, we shall patiently wait for the promised turn of events that may negate the need to Hartal ISA. It would however be nice if we could be given an indication as to how long we should remain patient. If DSAI doesn’t rock ‘n roll by Monday, would you take Hartal ISA off standby mode? Or do you think that we should be patient till at least after RAYA? or even better, when do you think your patience will run out?
