ABU Ops Raya Haji kicks off

In August, ABU pushed a very effective Ops Raya Puasa.

Almost 100,000 copies each of our Mengapa Harga Barang Naik? pamphlet and the Pesanan Tulus Ikhlas Kepada Anggota Keselamatan flyer were taken to ground in the Malay heartlands and in semi-urban constituencies and distributed.

Most of the 100,000 ABU stickers were distributed to blitz high traffic areas to tell all and sundry a key message : we, the rakyat, have declared war against UMNO / BN.

Ground operators had come back with very encouraging feedback : more of the same material are needed.

And so we are undertaking another round of distribution of the same material this Raya Haji.

The good news?

The re-print of the entire batch of the Pesanan Tulus Ikhlas Kepada Anggota Keselamatan flyer has been fully sponsored by one individual.

God bless you.

Having said  that, I have to tell you that quite a bit of the balance sum of RM38,222.01 remaining in the ABU War Fund following the last round of contributions, as certified by the auditors, has been taken up in this latest round of printing.

Many of you who sent in contributions earlier had said I should ask when funds are needed again.

People, several efforts are underway which are extremely  vital in our drive to take back Putrajaya and this nation from UMNO / BN.

Some, I will be able to share details of in following posts but  quite a few, and for obvious strategic reasons, I will not be able to say much, if anything.

I ask for  understanding and your trust in the secretariat and the auditors.

Some of you who have sent in contributions earlier have emailed me seeking confirmation that your remittances have been received. Please bear with me as I pour through bank statements late nights to reply to each of you.

So, yes, people, I am asking you to help with funds again.

As usual, details of where you can send your contributions are in the link in the side bar on the right.

Back to the ABU Ops Raya Haji.

What can you do?

You’ll be traveling home for  the long weekend holiday?

Balik kampung, right?

I am going to ask you to do the same as that which I  asked during the Ops Raya Puasa, except now, there are two more items you can take home to help spread the ABU message.

Please download and print as many of the Mengapa Harga Barang Naik? pamphlets and the Pesanan Tulus Ikhlas Kepada Anggota Keselamatan flyers as you can afford and take home and distribute them to friends and relatives.

Click on both thumbnails to download PDF copies of both the pamphlet and the flyer.

Not sure how to fold the pamphlets?

Go HERE for help.

Remember, all these documents are readily downloadable from the ABU website.

And as I hope you do  each time you balik kampung, take time out to discuss the key ABU issues with folks back home.

One, the spiraling cost of living and how it is tied to the endemic corruption that has, and continues to obscenely enrich UMNO / BN leaders and their cronies.

Two, how Lynas poses a real threat to the health and the lives of all of us, given that building construction supervision in the country is, again because of corruption, highly unsatisfactory ( Highland Towers collapse, K. Terengganu stadium roof collapse, etc ), an accident at the plant would pose serious radiation risks that UMNO / BN does not care about.

Three, UMNO / BN, through the mainstream media ( Utusan, BH, Sin Chew, Star, NST, TV and radio ) continue to contrive race and religious issues ( hudud, Chinese wresting political power ) to keep us divided and thereby maintain a firm hold on power.

Finally, UMNO / BN continues to use draconian laws to silence legitimate dissent.

On issues 2 and 3, the secretariat is working on efforts to produce material for disemination to the heartlands, but these will only be ready at a later date. You will, of course, be kept informed.

Don’t spare the police and military officers you meet when you’re back in the kampung, or when you are enroute there and heading back to the city after the Raya Haji holidays.

With a smile and a raya greeting, give them the ABU message.

You  want to have your own ABU stickers to blitz the route back to the kampung, and maybe even the kampung itself?

Maybe this  photo I just received by email a few hours ago can help you to decide.

Click on the thumbnail and it will take you to a PDF page containing 6 ABU stickers.

Download and print as many as you can.

For detailed instructions, go HERE.

If you ask me, though, there’s no need for detailed instructions.

Enough copies, and a can of adhesive spray with you, and you’re in business.

Now, to the two new items I mentioned earlier.

First, the ABU stencil.

Our ground operators have been supplied these so, hopefully, we’ll see many more Mat Abu’s all over the place.

Want to get in on Mat Abuing the kampung together with friends?

They cost RM3 each if you pick them up from the secretariat.

If you need the secretariat to post them to you, add another RM2 for packing and postage for delivery anywhere in the country.

Buy a few and take back to the kampung and ABU the place.

Pass a few to friends and get them to do the same, even after the holidays.

They can’t be ripped out like the stickers and are, as such, more permanent.

Don’t forget to buy the spray paints, though.

And some gloves.

If you’d like to purchase the stencils by post, you can arrange payment through the Paypal account or the bank account that has been dedicated to the ABU War Fund, details of which are in the ABU War Fund link in the side bar.

You will have to scan the proof of payment and email the same to abumerchandise@gmail.com together with your postal details and T-shirt size(s) required.

On to the second item.

As part of the secretariat’s efforts to raise funds for the ABU War Fund, we are bringing ABU T-shirts to you.

We have the balance of 3 earlier designs, with very limited numbers remaining, and sizes just ranging from M – XL.

And a brand new batch, in yellow and black, arriving Tuesday next week latest, bearing the same design as our ABU stickers on the front, with the ABU website URL at the back.

The 3 earlier designs. Limited stock and limited sizes

ABU in front and the website URL at the back. Sizes from S – XXXL

ABU in front and the website URL at the back. Sizes from S – XXXL

Price : RM15 each, regardless of size, if you collect them yourself from the secretariat.

Add RM3 for packing and postage for delivery anywhere in the country.

The T-shirt supplier is giving us a good price and so every T-shirt you purchase will add to the ABU War Fund.

And just as with all contributions that you send in, the matter of merchandise produced and sold will also be fully audited.

If you’d rather purchase without moving from your computer, you can arrange payment through the Paypal account or the bank account that has been dedicated to the ABU War Fund, details of which are in the ABU War Fund link in the side bar.

You will have to scan the proof of payment and email the same to abumerchandise@gmail.com together with your postal details and T-shirt size(s) required.

For inquiries, call the secretariat at 03-79827101 or email us at abumerchandise@gmail.com

Oh, and one more thing.

Take lots and lots of photographs of your ABUing the nation.

If you would rather not have them on your own blog or facebook wall, send them to me at thepeoplesparliament@gmail.com so I can help you share those with everyone else.
